Great location, fantastic place for larger family. We got bumped out of our original condo in this complex and the other owner went out of his way to get us this place (same style but slightly upgraded) so we weren't stranded. A huge thanks to Charles and Judith for salvaging our dream vacation!

Our party of six stayed here for two weeks. We loved the location, elevator access for my parents in their 80's, the view and proximity to the beach. Overall a great experience. The property was clean upon arrival. It would have been nice to have a welcome sheet/notebook as most rentals have. We are tech-saavy, so it wasn't a problem finding the wifi info, but someone who isn't might have trouble.We found the kitchen to be somewhat lacking. Pans were severely worn out. There wasn't enough silverware (forks) for two meals. A small handful of mixing bowls that had to double as food storage. It just appeared that there was very little thought or effort put into making the kitchen comfortable to use. We have stayed in similar-priced condos with much better-equipped kitchens. We were fortunate that someone discarded a box of silverware, so that took care of that problem. We made do with the rest of the issues.The beach equipment closet was wonderful - everything we needed and more. The snorkel equipment bag had mostly broken gear in it - could use to be cleaned out. We ended up renting gear.Overall, the unit was very enjoyable, and worked well for our party of six. I would recommend it to others!

My family is originally from Oahu but it was my first time to Maui and the location was perfect. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and more importantly the beach. The view was great and the beach gear saved us some money. It’s a great place for a family or couples vacationing together, the two bathrooms are a life saver. We did have to buy toilet tissue, paper towels and garbage bags, there was only 1 extra roll in each bathroom and no extra paper towel rolls but there were 5 of us and we were there for 14 days. We did have to put a wet cloth on the drains and left one bathroom light on at night because of roaches but it was manageable. We kept all of our food in the fridge and the garbage went out everyday but it is Hawaii and bugs are always gonna be around. The condo could use some updating but all in all it was a great place to stay! Sincerely, if you’re on the fence just jump, you’ll be happy that you did! And honestly, you’re on vacation in Hawaii, get out and enjoy every second and be grateful for the time you have there!

We've stayed at a few of these condos and this view was so amazing to watch the whales every morning. There were so many sand and snorkel sets we didn't even rent any! The space was very roomy and convenient. We will definitely stay again...

We were very disappointed with our unit at Hale Kamaole this time. This was our second time staying at Hale Kamaole and had a wonderful stay at the prior unit (I believe it was unit 201 in November of 2021) where we stayed for 10 days. This unit 308 greeted us with roach-like bugs whenever we opened the kitchen cabinets or came in for the evening and turned on the lights. One night we had no less than 20 bugs on the counter when we walked in around 8 pm. We love the development and everyone working there was wonderful , but am not sure we will stay here again because of this. It it a lot of money to spend and be greeted with these unwelcome pests!

We stayed in Hale Kamoale for 10 days with family. What a great gathering place for our family. We loved just walking across to street to one of the best beaches for sunset and snorkeling and so close to shopping and restaurants. Great location. The unit was big enough for everyone to have a bed and plenty of space. There were beach toys, beach chairs, umbrella, towels, boogie boards and a cooler to use to head to the beach or wherever your wanderings took you. The kitchen is well supplied. We loved having the washer/dryer too. We made many great memories in Unit 308. Thank you so much!!!

Hale Kamaole is in a great location at the south end of Kihei, close to Wailea. Quiet, good layout, not too busy. Unit 308 has a great view of the ocean and is close to the beach, swimming pool and bbq area. From here, you can walk or run along the waterfront on trails, paths and beaches all the way to the Fairmont.

The place was amazing, two level condo that could easily sleep up to 8 people. You can’t beat the location, it’s right across the street from the beach. Nathan (director of operations) was extremely helpful and professional. I’m planning to return there with my family next visit.

Whenever at home, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the fabulous view. The condo has just been totally redone and everything in it is brand new. Many beach supplies are provided (paddle boards,chairs,umbrella and Snorkle gear Elevator is just outside the door and a very short walk to grass and sand beach.. If we all treat it kindly, it will be my "to go to" place for many years to come.

A great out of the way location in Kehei. Very close to great swimming and snorkeling. “Turtle Town” is literally a three minute walk across the road where we swam with the turtles just about every day. A convenient location to the main highway to travel to other parts of the island. Friendly and quiet neighbors. Within walking distance to restaurants but a rental car was necessary to visit other eateries around the island. Never used the pool but other guests did. It was cleaned every morning very early. Condo was clean and acceptable for a family of five. Decor was dated but functional. Plenty of cooking utensils. The community gas and charcoal grills were clean and convenient. Was a fun place to meet and visit with people from all over.

Loved the layout but it just wasn’t homey. Nice beach chairs for 6 people would be nice. Liked the condiments in the fridge and cupboard. Just needed to replace what I used instead of buying all. Beds were great.

Our first time at hale kamole. The location was great and it’s had a lot of benefits being in a condo instead of a hotel. Our own kitchen and washer and dryer being two of them. We found the unit to need a deep cleaning and a freshen up on paint and cubbards. We were informed this was in the plan to do on our departure. The pool was beautiful but very cold, we actually found the ocean warmer. The other places we visited were warmer pools which would make it more enjoyable. The lady in the office and the one in the mornings was very friendly and was able to answer all our questions regarding the area and where to explore. Over all we had a great vacation and these things mentioned would make it more enjoyable for future visits.

My family and I stayed here for 10 days. Wonderful proximity to the beach. We walked to watch sunset every day in the grass out front which is a very popular spot. The grounds in the complex were were well kept. The condo has lots of space, comfortable beds and pillows. Comfy, clean sheets, A/C as well as ceiling fans and floor fans as the loft gets warmer. Lots of dishes, cooking items etc. Tons of snorkel gear, noodles, beach toys, boodie boards, towels, cooler for drinks etc. We did not use the beach chairs as they have seen better days! All in all we had a great stay.

I have stayed in this unit before. This year, our experience was different. I was told that the beds were updated and there was a new sofa. When we got there the unit was extremely out dated and the kitchen cupboards were falling apart. There were also ants all over the kitchen counters. We were also missing the basics like dish towels and face cloths.I did call down to the office and let them know about the cupboards, the ants and the towels.2 days after the fact, they brought us towels and the ants persisted throughout the entire vacation. The location of this unit is great and the pool is wonderful. It was just the actual unit that was a problem. For the money that was paid for this unit, I definitely feel that it should have been better.

We have stayed at the Hale Kamaole in various units for the last 20 years. The complex is awesome, the location is awesome.We knew this unit was not renovated but didn’t realize how “tired” it truly was ... disappointing considering the price. But the beds were comfortable and the a/c worked very well. The washer and dryer came in handy.It was poorly stocked ... no matching dish set, no wine glasses, knives that barely cut. Not enough drinking glasses. We like to clean up behind ourselves - cleaning supplies were vinegar and comet. Windex would have been nice (for the glass table and bathroom mirrors), degreaser for the stove top, bathroom spray for the countertops, etc.There were a few beach chairs, they could have been much better.This unit is in the building with an elevator - very handy for luggage but more so for the 2 folks in our party with disabilities.The Hale Kamaole is a great complex, I recommend it ... just not this unit in its current condition.

We absolutely loved our stay in Unit 308! We had a great view of the ocean! This unit fit 4 adults, 3 kids, and 1 infant perfectly with a queen bedroom, bedroom with 2 twins, loft with a queen bed, and pull out couch. The unit was also stocked with plenty of beach supplies in the closet off the porch. Would definitely stay here again, super clean! And the staff were very accommodating with check in.

We have stayed at Hale Kamaole, granted in different units, multiple times and have had a great experience. This time however our stay was awful. The unit itself was dated with multiple broken items that needed attention (screen door to lanai falling off its rails and not working properly, oven door handle falling off, fan remotes not functioning, cupboard kitchen doors sticking to name a few). Obviously, this unit has been in the rental pool for a while. Yes, the view is unbeatable and all the other amenities are great (distance to pool, beach, and BBQ, etc).If you have young children this is definitely not the place to stay. We were constantly bothered by people complaining that our children were too loud (at the pool - they're kids, they are going to be loud and excited!!), in the unit itself (sorry my 4-year-old is having a meltdown and is bothering you), being asked to not spray sunscreen while at the pool and the list goes on. Don't advertise that you are a family-friendly resort if your residents are not accepting of children being there. It ruined our stay and we were constantly anxious about how much noise our kids were making. Definitely will not be returning or recommending this place to any of our friends.
