The single best part of your stay in the unit will be the breathtaking, gorgeous views of the ocean, Molokini, Kaho’olawe, and the well-manicured garden area from the fifth floor of building C. Take in the views while sitting or dining on the lanai.
The entire unit has been remodeled in July 2022 with carefully selected finishes. The updates include an open kitchen layout; new wood cabinets with granite countertops where you can enjoy meals or drinks; vinyl flooring in the living and bedroom areas; newly tiled lanai; a “cloffice” – a nook with a workspace; fresh paint; and Carrera porcelain tile in the bathroom;
This unit comfortably sleeps four – a king-sized bed in the bedroom, and a queen-sized bed in the pull-out sofa.
The unit contains a hard-to-find dual-zone air conditioning system, to cool the living and bedroom areas, as an alternative to the cooling trade winds. Unlike many complexes on Maui, this one comes with a stackable washer and dryer. You don’t have to lug your laundry home or to a coin-operated laundromat. Amateur and professional chefs alike will enjoy the gas range in the kitchen.

The elevator is conveniently located near the unit, but far away enough not to hear it. View the sunset from the walkway with your favorite beverage and your camera ready. If you decide to venture out beyond the area, you have access to an assigned parking space. This way, you don’t have to worry about finding parking when returning from what the island offers.
If you opt to relax on the beautiful grounds, there are two pools available to you. You can see the remodeled lower pool from the unit, which is across from Building C. An additional upper pool is located near Building D. Both pool areas are furnished with covered picnic tables, vending machines, refrigerators, gas BBQs, restrooms, and showers. Tiki torches light the deck space once the sun goes down. The grounds also include a tennis/pickleball court.
Kihei Akahi, located centrally in South Kihei, is directly across the street from the world-class Kamaole Beach II, referred to as Kam II. The walk from building C, where the unit is located, is less than three minutes to the golden sandy beach.
Kamaole II is known as one of the best snorkeling areas on the island. During the winter months, enjoy the sights of whales breeching as they migrate through the Pacific Ocean. You will likely see turtles and other marine life swimming in the crystal water.
Kam II visitors also enjoy swimming, lounging, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The Kamaole beaches are some of the few that have lifeguards. The Kam beaches offers grassy parks, picnic tables, outdoor showers, playgrounds, and public restrooms. Kamaole I and III are a short walk away.
Kihei Akahi is surrounded by restaurants and shops that are steps away. You can find locally made items at the quaint gift shops, and souvenirs at the famous ABC Store. You can enjoy takeout and bring it back to the unit while it’s still warm, or you can enjoy happy hour while dining in. If you’re in the mood to take advantage of the unit’s kitchen, there are nearby grocery stores as well.

Great central location. Easy to get to the beach, the sights, snorkeling, diving and groceries. Sitting on the balcony and seeing the ocean and whales (if in season) makes that first cup of coffee superb. Steps away you can rent everything you need; kayak, snorkel gear, etc. The unit has two ac units which is a nice plus. Furnishings and the kitchen gear worked well.

The rental was adequate and had an amazing view. The rental could use a deep clean. We needed to clean all the sticky handles on the cabinets and we purchased new bath towels for comfort as the linens provided were dingy and heavily used. We appreciated the location and view which was better than the pictures seem! Our contact was easy to reach and kept in contact throughout the trip. Another thing to keep in mind, many furnishings are in their last leg, so be careful.

The condo is in an excellent location for whatever activities you have planned. The beach is a very short walk across the road and there are several choices for your dining pleasure. I would recommend Cafe O’Lei Kihei located about a block north of the condo. The shave ice stand next to the restaurant has the most delectable choices imaginable. Enjoy your stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much in Kihei Akahi. The host was super friendly and responsive. The place was clean and well layed out. The roosters are a little noisy but with the sound machine (provided in condo) on we were mostly able to sleep through it. Would definitely stay again!

Couldn’t ask for more, location to beach, cleanliness, well stocked, 2 pools and tennis court, ease and promptness of communicating with the Hosts. This unit has been recently renovated with modern touches and beachy feel. Generous supply of towels, bedding and beach items. We look forward to staying with these Hosts on our next Maui vacation! They were wonderful.

We had such a great stay by the C506! The location is amazing—right across from Kam II and short walking distance to the Cinnamon Roll Place, Fred’s, & Coconuts. The sunset from the lanai was gorgeous, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. The beach chairs and umbrellas were so nice to take to the beach. There was great snorkeling very close, and all the trees and plants on the property were beautiful. The only downside was the thin walls/windows, we needed to be very quiet, but everyone seemed to be respectful of that and it was quiet at night (the sound machine by the bed was there just in case, but we didn’t need it)! We will definitely be back!
