Very convenient location, able to walk to a lot of dining choices and shopping. The only negative of the unit we stayed in was the sleeper sofa was in bad shape - squeaked and we couldn't close it so had to call the property management company to help - it took them 30 plus minutes to get it closed. Not really useable for another bed.

The location of this property and the amenities were good. The property was nice for the most part. The only source of major displeasure was the sofa bed. It’s probably fine for small kiddos but the mattress is too worn out for an adult. I constantly found myself pressed up against the metal bars underneath and had several crummy nights sleep, waking up with sore spots. It should really be replaced.

What a treat it was to get away and enjoy Hawaii! I feel like this place has all the best that Maui offers. You can walk to the beach, no elevators necessary. But you can also enjoy the tropical flowers from the lanai. The bed was comfy, the place was clean. We would return every year if we could. Thank you!!

Great place to stay particularly with your kids as they can walk right out and enjoy the yard. Had a couple minor hiccups on the first day with maintenance but everything was address promptly and the team is so kind and helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The room was comfortable and spacious. The laundry and 2 full bathrooms, and ample free parking were convenient. The pool, chairs and hot tub were great for when you needed a break from the beautiful beach. This property is conveniently located next to a shopping plaza which we visited daily for coffee and an acai bowl and dinner. It’s along a beautiful path to other resorts which we ran in the morning and walked throughout the day. The whaler was quiet at night and we loved the lanai was perfect for playing cards and hanging out. We truly felt like we were home (we wish it was!) and it was a perfect week!

Wonderfully relaxing stay at this location. This was our first family vacation since the COVID pandemic started and felt completely safe during our stay. The unit was clean on our arrival as was the overall Whaler property. Masks were required in all enclosed locations (e.g. hallways, elevators, gym, etc.). There were less crowds on property since it isn’t a hotel, which is why we chose this location, along with the kitchen and laundry in unit. Staying in a first floor unit also great as it was a very short 1 minute walk to the beach and having an outdoor lanai was awesome for eating outdoors and having our daughter (6 y.o.) play outside where we can still keep an eye on her.
During our 10 day stay we opted for eating in and cooking our meals, so kitchen was key to our stay. This would be the only critique we have about the unit. There were only two pans, which seemed quite used/old. Most of what we cooked would stick to the pans. There were other pots, bakeware, and roaster that we made use of, but we did have to get creative with the cookware that was available. Overall though, the kitchen was completely adequate for our needs. We had a wonderful vacation and staying in this unit and overall property was definitely part of the reason. We would definitely stay here again.
