My family visited Honua Kai over Christmas and spread out over a few different condos. This was by far our favorite, with the huge lanai and overall spacious feel. It's clean, well-equipped, and has easy access to the pools and beach.

Great spot and location for the price. Clean and well set up. The balcony does look over the entranceway to the hotel but you don’t hear any of the noise from there at all with the doors shut and barely hear anything when the doors are open. I’d definitely recommend.

Spacious and great location. View is ok, but being so close to the beach and pool made this an incredible experience for my family and didn’t need to leave the resort.

Condo was perfect for our family; big family room with kitchen, huge lanai, giant bathroom, and separate bedroom for me and my wife. The pools and easy access to the beach were highlights for us. We’ll be back soon!

Had a great time! Appreciated having the lawn chairs, umbrella and ice chest available to use. The ice machine in the basement of the hotel (accessible to guests) saved a lot of money in ice. The store in the lobby came in very handy several times. The room was comfortable and clean. Tiffany was very responsive to the few questions I had. Would stay again.

I would recommend a stay at this property. The resort was well kept including our room. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Our host, Tiffany, had amazing communication, and was so accommodating to ensure we were well taken care of. She was AMAZING!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Honua Kai. The condo was much larger than expected and included a huge balcony - we wish we had come with friends or family! Very clean space and loved how close it was to the beach. The room also included beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler and beach toys. We also enjoyed the use of the pools on the resort property and dining at Dukes for brunch. This is a very family friendly resort so just be aware there are usually a lot of kids running around and it is a pretty loud environment during the day. Overall, very budget friendly rental in an excellent location with great amenities!

We really enjoyed staying in this unit. Having a washer and dryer in unit with a toddler was convenient. This unit was clean and the check in/check out process was smooth. We loved Maui and this property. Definitely coming back.

Traveled with a 6 1/2 month old and this property was great! Had everything we needed and more! The location is prime, the resort is wonderful and the beach is just steps away! Highly recommend for families who want more space than just a regular hotel room! Can’t wait to be back!

Location of resort was convenient- short drive to Lahaina, Kapalua. Really great pool for kids (we have a 5 year old). It was great there were plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards for us to use. Wish there was more self parking available. At night it was diffficult to find spots in the garage. Room itself was updated with new appliances but walls and doors were a little worn (could do with some new paint). Bathroom shower door could do with deep clean.

Property is perfect to bring family. Loved the full kitchen, washer/dryer, and especially having access to a BBQ. Recommend shopping at Costco if you have a large family and staying a while.

The area was great, right on the beach. We saw lots of whales and turtles. The kids loved the pools! There were 2 shallow kid pools that were great for my toddler. The condo we rented fit our family of 4 perfectly. It was quiet and nice.

My family and I stayed for 6 days at this luxury condo in Honua Kai. We had an excellent stay except the lanai lighting was out and the ice maker didn't produce much ice after 24-hour stay. I communicated with management about both of these situations in writing by text message and it was never resolved. My condo room PIN was never reset. Lack of commuinication from condo management and condo owner. Lanai next door is even bigger.

Had an amazing stay. Would definitely stay here again. Not much of a view off the large balcony but that didn’t bother us. Also would have preferred a coffee pot vs the keurig. One can drink more coffee that way. The property was fantastic.

We loved the location. The place was pretty clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable.
The only negative is the toilet was constantly filling. When it was full it whistled incredibly loud and wouldn't stop. I contacted the property management and a fix was scheduled but nothing happened, nobody showed. So we just had to live with this incredibly loud whistling the entire stay...

We absolutely loved staying at Honua Kai Resort! Listing and photos of 1bed/ 1 bath condo are accurate, and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay! The condo slept 2 wonderfully, but could even sleep up to 4. The host was so kind to leave great beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach toys, a cooler and ice packs to really make things easy for our stay. Would definitely recommend.

The property and location is as good as we could have imagined! 10 minute beautiful drive north to Kapalua and south to Lahaina. It was our 10 year anniversary trip and we realized in the the first 5 minutes on property that we need to bring our kids. So, Honua Kai will more than exceed your couples or family trip. We will definitely be back!!!

Our trip was a group of 4 friends and we had the most lovely stay here! Honua Kai is an ideal location with our favorite restaurant, Duke's, right on the premises. Seems very family friendly as well, and there were lots of kids on the premesis. The room itself was huge and easily accommodated 4 guests (2 one the king and 2 on the pull out couch). The unit also had a huge balcony with mountain views where we drank our coffees every morning. It was also really nice that the unit was equipped with an ice chest, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a beach umbrella for us to use during our stay. There were a couple hiccups with our check in but they were resolved within the evening. We would definitely love to come stay here again!

The property was very clean & quiet. As another reviewer mentioned, the property needs a handyman. Walls had spot/repair painting & did not match rest of walls. Also floor baseboard was unfinished, had nail holes & needed to be filled & painted. There was plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 children. Master has a queen bed, and the sofa has a pullout bed. The queen bed was comfortable. The sofa bed was good enough for my young kids, but not for adults. The kitchen had most everything needed, except flat baking sheets for the oven/roaster, and lacked quality BBQ tools for use downstairs at the grills. There were beach chairs, ice chest, sun umbrella available, which is a plus! The manager was very nice & communicative. The balcony was over the building entrance, but it didn't bother us, it was not noisy and the view to the mountains was superb. The entire resort was beautiful. The kids loved the pool, the beach was beautiful, great for walks/jogs. The place does need a few details corrected but we will stay here again. I would recommend reserving a stay thru their direct website & not this one. We made the mistake of using this site to reserve our stay & paid substantially more!

Such a great place to stay! Kids LOVED the pool and slide! The room was clean and well appointed. We would stay here again and recommend it! There's a reef right out on the beach that is great snorkeling. Bring water shoes, it can cut your feet. We saw so many whales from the beach and Duke's is on site. So happy we stayed!!

I bought a weeks stay for my son and his fiancé to celebrate his college graduation. They absolutely loved the condo style room. They bought groceries and cooked breakfast every morning. They also loved that they could do their laundry in room! They loved the property and have Dukes to end up at most nights for drinks. So happy they had such a wonderful time!
