Came to the island for a wedding and the condo was a GREAT place to relax. We didn’t need anything during our stay but Nancy was very quick to answer my questions before. Beautiful home close to everything, but still far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

The location was great - right next to the Beach House restaurant and Lawai Beach- our favorite spot to snorkel. We enjoyed seeing the sunrise in the morning and joining the other folks on the lawn for sunset. The beach chairs and cooler were great. The condo had everything we needed. The bed was a bit soft but we slept fine. The breeze from the windows was lovely but having AC was nice at night. Would definitely stay again

The condo was perfect for 2, the kitchen has everything we needed plus more than I have at home! Bed was very comfortable and recliner chairs were great for watching movies on the TV. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning for breakfast and in the evening watching the parrots fly in to roost in the palm trees. And communication with Nancy was so easy. Her hospitality made our anniversary trip wonderful.

The condo was supplied with everything we needed to enjoy our Kauai vacation. Loved the beautiful ocean view. We had no issues whatsoever with the condo. The beach chairs were nice to have. Plenty of dresser storage and lots of hangers provided for our clothes. Location was great. Host contacted us shortly after booking and provided us with information and advice/recommendations for things to do. Very helpful.

We enjoyed our quiet, relaxing stay in Poipu/Koloa. Everything here was in good working order and we had no issues that necessitated contacting the owners.
In our opinion this is not an ocean front property but more so an ocean view. The view was still very pretty overlooking a small bay and also had nice mountain views. In our opinion "ocean front" would mean just that, facing the ocean.
Getting your laundry done can be a challenge as you're competing with more than a dozen units for one washer and dryer per floor. There's just no way to police that (patrons leaving their laundry in the machines well after a load is done). This may have been an oversight on our part as we would not have rented without laundry in the unit itself. Lastly, WiFi drops were an inconvenience, simply needing a reboot to catch the signal so not a major issue.
With all of that said we still rate the unit 5 Stars as the location is wonderful, in a quiet community with everything one would need nearby. If this unit had laundry internally and not a community laundry we would definitely look to rent again (we stayed a month).

We can’t say enough about how lovely and well maintained this condo is. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this one rates a10+. The pictures depict the condo perfectly. The A/C was great as well. Didn’t use during the day as it wasn’t necessary in February. Used at night only because we like to sleep in cooler temperatures. Well stocked kitchen and condo. Being able to watch tv is important to us, especially in the bedroom which we were able to do. The location is fantastic. Grocery stores and shopping within 6-7 minute drive. The Beach House restaurant is RIGHT NEXT DOOR. Fantastic sunsets at restaurant. We walked there for dinner. Beaches close by- Poipu beach where we saw 8 turtles one morning AND 3 monk seals!! Fantastic stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is wonderful, right next to Beach House with beautiful sunset views and a great snorkeling beach. Loved watching the sunrise come up off the balcony every morning! This condo is in a wonderful location as it is right on the beach and very close to several must see places on the south side of the island. Nancy was excellent and kept in touch from booking until end of stay. She even gave suggestions on things to do. Everything needed was available within the room. The view from the lanai was spectacular. We really enjoyed listening to the sound of the ocean outside and inside this well maintained condo. The owners are wonderful to work with and are more than accommodating. The microwave happened to “die” during our stay. We sent an email to inform the owners and they made sure we had a new one the next afternoon! We highly recommend this condo for a wonderful stay.

My wife and I celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary staying at Kuhio Shores 402. We have stayed here before on other occasions. The views are accurate based on the photos, but absolutely terrific in person. The condo had everything my wife and I needed...and then some. It is within walking distance to the shops at Kukui'ula and within 20 minutes driving time to Salt Pond Beach (our favorite beach in Kauai). During our two week stay, we did not need to AC at all...the trade winds were breezy and cool. Doug and Nancy, owners, are very easy to work with and are responsive to any questions/issues. I highly recommend this condo. My wife and I always consider it in our future Kauai travel plans.

Fabulous location with amazing views - we saw turtles in the bay. And don't overlook the tiny La'wai beach in front of the Beach House restaurant. Not as "flashy" as Poipu, but great snorkeling. And the unit was amazing, as were the hosts. If I were to ever host a vacation rental, this is how I'd do it! From an intro phone call after booking to the way that every switch was labeled, and clear instructions were provided for every amenity - took all the guesswork out of everything! Loved it! We would definitely consider this location again for a return trip - which will surely happen!

This is a fantastic property. The Condo features wonderful views of the ocean and mountains. It is clean and is equipped with anything you need. The tide wind flows through the condo and there is no need to run the air conditioner. We loved it here!!!

Loved the water views and hearing the sound of the ocean and experiencing the island lifestyle. Perfect, upscale decor for the setting.
We enjoyed each living area, except the bathroom seemed pretty warm and stuffy.
The fruit flies were a nuisance and seemed ever present. Not much to be done, however.

We really enjoyed our 5 nights at this rental property. Nancy was the most responsive VRBO host we've worked with over the years, and all communications were timely and 100% accurate. The rental unit is beautiful, and was furnished with everything we needed for our stay - and stuff we didn't need but appreciated! (Small cooler, beach chairs!). We also appreciated the wide range of channels - easily 3 times the number of choices we found at a fancy resort where we stayed for one night. We hope to return to 402 on another trip to Kauai!

A wonderful location in Poipu with an amazing top floor view. Peaceful view on a quiet cove and also right around the other side of the property got to watch top quality surfing and some amazing weddings (without being bothered by any of the noise). After a long day on the beach it was wonderful to return to the quiet oasis. Everything we needed was provided.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience at this property. The owners went beyond superb in all our interactions with them. The location is ideal with excellent swimming/snorkeling just outside the building and frequent turtle sightings from both in and out of the water. An excellent restaurant next door is often selected as a wedding venue due to this scenic location with it's spectacular sunsets. The unit is a quiet top floor location with a full wall vista of beautiful sun rises, bay, & ocean. The unit is well appointed in all aspects. A generous assortment of comfortable furniture and dining ware makes it a natural choice to entertain other friends staying nearby. We have no hesitation giving this unit a 5 star review and our highest recommendation.

We are so glad that we chose this condo! It's conveniently located with a great view of the cove. We watched the turtles everyday from the terrace. Walking distance to a couple of nice little beaches and a short drive to Poipu Beach Park. Bed and furnishings were very comfortable and the condo was EXTREMELY well stocked, even including spices! There were a couple of beach chairs and towels and a little cooler for outings and just about everything you could possibly need. Well situated to take advantage of the ocean breezes and nice view. We highly recommend this one!

We have really enjoyed our stay in 402! We liked that there was an outdoor stairway that leads to the door. The apartment was stocked with everything that we needed. Binoculars, we did not find. However, we watched whales and turtles from the balcony every morning. Great vacation!

We loved our stay at Kuhio shores! The location is fantastic. You are close to multiple beaches which makes it easy to explore based on the weather or what you are looking to do that day. We enjoyed the condo and it’s amenities easy to cook in if your choose. We took trips to Waimea and North Shore from the condo. Both were easy to do in a day and be back for sunset. We will definitely be visiting again!
