We stayed for one week in November 2024. The condo was so welcoming. It was such a joy to come in and have a light on and the breeze going through with lovely Hawaiian music playing on our arrival. We loved the decorating and having little extras throughout the condo. (Plenty of toilet paper, tissues, starter bath products, kitchen supplies, ice made and a pitcher of cold water in the fridge.)
The communication with the property manager was quick and all information to have a good experience was provided before hand. The directions to the unit were great and very much appreciated. There were some older Kauai guide books in the living area that were very helpful.
The view was absolutely the star of the show here (even though it was nice inside the condo too.) The lanai was private from the other units and was covered. (Rain did come down a few times and we could still sit outside.) Lydgate Park was a very short walk away on a cement sidewalk. We could easily walk there and take a dip in the sheltered lagoon there.
If anyone wonders, there are no restaurants within walking distance but it's only about 10 minutes to the closest ones. We were happy to make that drive to have the calmness of the ocean view before us.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a very pleasant condo and of course the view is just beautiful. The check in and check out process was very easy. Any questions or issues were quickly responded to. The walking path was so convenient and we really enjoyed walking to Lydgate Park every day. We would highly recommend this condo.

All around fantastic stay. The location is amazing. Right in the middle so anywhere you want to go is no more than just over an hour. We literally visited every place on the island to the furthest west you can go by car and the drive was great from this home base. The property is quiet and clean. The condo had everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. Amenities were great, furniture was comfortable and everything was as advertised. Would definitely recommend this place.

The renovations were excellently done and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Chad, our contact with the property was so responsive before our stay, giving great suggestions on activities and dining.
Every morning, we had breakfast on the lanai and took in the amazing view. You wint be disappointed renting thus condo.

We really enjoyed our time. The location is easy with access to walking paths, a good place to swim in the neighboring park and easy access to get around the island.
The condo is well maintained, clean and it was very easy to settle in for a few days and call home during our vacation.

Me and my wife had a wonderful time staying at this condo to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Chad was a great host, very detailed in all the information he provided to us. The morning sunrises were the best. This was our first time to Kauai and this was very cenyral located, would hughly recommend this condo. Thank you again Chad.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 30th anniversary and couldn’t be happier with this property! The ocean front view from the lanai was spectacular, and the unit was beautiful, well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the beach chairs and towels that were provided several times as we walked a short way down the beach to Lydgate Park. Highly recommend, and we hope to return soon!!

Very nicely renovated condo with all the kitchen essentials available to cook. Nice ocean front property with nice view from the lanai and wave sound all day. Extra half bath was nice. A nice touch that the condo provide all the beach toy such as beach chair, boogie boards.... to use. Will definitely cone stay here again.

Condo was very nice. Listing did not say 3rd floor/ stairs, but did make for a great view. Communication Mgr responded well. However, miscommunication did not get microwave resolved/it never worked. Might have been simpler fix, but I did not want to start flipping breakers!

My husband and I fully enjoyed our time at Kaha Lani. The unit is clean and very well-appointed. As others said, the lanai is the best part of the condo, with extraordinary views and comfortable seating. We loved the location, close to a grocery store and lots of restaurants, with easy access to the North Shore and South Shore. Anyone who goes to Kauai should be prepared for the presence, and sound of the chickens that are everywhere.

Excellent rental, the best we’ve had in Kauai! Very well appointed condo close to north and south parts of the island. Nice beach out front with wonderful views. We saw whales and dolphins from the lanai.

This place is heaven in Kauai. Worth every min and every $. We were here with out 9mo and this place has every single thing we needed. Simply amazing !! The propery faces east shore and the balcony is massive. Must stay. Chad Slayton is an amazing host.

Second time staying at Kaha Lani. This was by far our favorite condo! Very clean. And the washer dryer was an excellent touch!
One downside which has nothing to do with the condo itself. The bbq’s need some upgrades!

What an amazing place to stay! We were given advice to stay in 2 different parts of the island for our 2 week vacation. Chad’s place (as we lovingly named it) was everything we hoped for. It is on the West side of the island which really is the middle of the island. It’s a great central point. Everything is new and up to date and was CLEAN. I, as a women, get extremely irritated if I go on vacation and find I have to CLEAN a VRBO before I can relax in it (this was the case in the second place we stayed). The lanai/patio was amazing. No need for air conditioning - just open the doors and the lovely sea ocean cools the place down beautifully. The ocean is right in front of the building. The sound of the waves were so relaxing. The sun rises were phenomenal. It had all the amenities to cook since we eat a restricted diet. Also, every beach amenity we needed was provided: towels, comfortable chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, etc.
The serious difference in this rental was Chad has thought of everything. He is invested in making this an amazing experience for his guests. This isn’t some place an owner in another state hasn’t invested anything back into the property and is trying to squeak out every last dime they can before they sell it. I almost didn’t want to write this review because I don’t want people to know what a gem it is, so it is vacant next time I go! Kauai is beautiful and relaxing and Chad’s place was a highlight to our trip!

This property was the best beachfront place I ever stayed in. It had everything that you needed for your vacation. It had beach chairs, boogie board, cooler and umbrella for the beach. Lydgate beach was walking distance. Great for easy snorkeling. The decor was very tastefully done.
Did I mention beachfront, open the lanai doors and sleep to the sound of the wave. It had the best sunrise ever.

My husband and I love staying in Kapa'a because of the proximity to everything on the island, and staying in Chad's condo made it that much better! It was exactly like the pictures- very clean and tidy, right on the water, great little beach area! We would wake up with the sun (and roosters) and sit on the porch and drink coffee and then be off for the day to explore. It was great to come back in the early afternoon and get a little pool time after being in the ocean/sand all day.
The breeze blew through the windows, which kept it fairly cool, but I had no issue with lack of AC. That does mean that everyone else had their windows open as well, so you could hear a lot going on if you wanted to. If you were on the patio (which we were mainly) it was not an issue.
We will absolutely be back to stay in this little gem on the island! Mahalo !

PROS:
-It’s swanky.
-It feels like someone’s home, not a place that’s been treated like a hotel.
-Location, location, location. It’s a perfect midway for exploring the entire island.
-The lanai. Oh my goodness, it’s exquisite. Hearing the waves crash right below you 24/7 is indescribable.
-The beach. It’s right there, and it’s a great one.
-The furnishings. Everything we needed was at hands reach.
-Watching the sunrise over the ocean from the lanai then watching the sunset behind the mountains from the front porch.
CONS:
They’re so minor it’s almost laughable…
-The bed is super nice and my husband loved it. It’s also super firm so for me that was a downside. Just personal preference though! By no means is it a bad bed.
-I wouldn’t be able to stay here in the heat of summer since it doesn’t have AC. Again, merely personal preference because of my heat intolerance. Few places in Kauai have AC and for most of the year, the ability to open up windows and be cooled by the ocean breeze is a perk.
Yes, you should definitely rent this place!

The condo was very spacish, washer-drier in unit, and Ocean view with lounge chairs and seats. Lots of sandy beach to explore, 5 minute walk to swimmable water with lifeguard. Nice ocean sounds day and night. Premises well kept and short drive to coconut shopping area and other shopping/ restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay and place was very relaxing.

Ww loved how we could get to the north beaches quick and a Poipu area. Close to airport!. The place was beautifully decorated. Loved having the beach chairs and towels. We even used the travel guide books!

Contemporary, clean condo with plenty of linens, cleaning supplies. The new kitchen appliances, matching dinnerware, beach equipment (though we didn't have time to use them) were much appreciated.

Great location for heading north or south on the island. Nice clean space to relax, and had a convenient public soccer field in the backyard, and quiet beach in the front yard. Would definitely return.

We loved our week stay at this newly remodeled condo. The mornings were special having coffee on the lanai watching the sunrise. The sound of the waves were very relaxing. Great complex with bike or walking path right outside your door and great heated pool surrounded by palm trees.
We definitely want to come back. Thanks for sharing this wonderful condo with us!
