We have stayed at this resort for the last 5 years and we keep coming back for the location, views, value, and the happy hour! Several great restaurants in walking distance, easy to get to great beaches and shopping. This unit is the first studio we’ve stayed in and it was conveniently located steps from the elevator. tastefully decorated, plenty of towels, dishes, etc. the only thing we would change is the bed. Extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on a marshmallow , but you’re in paradise so it balances out.

Was told to wait for text to check in and never received. Ended up not getting into room until after 6, wasting the entire day.

Stayed for 6 days and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Right on kaanapali beach and if that isn’t enough a HUGE heated pool and hot tub. Location was great and the host was even better looked like it had never been slept in it was so clean. Hoping we can stay here next time thanks!!

Loved this Vacasa Unit. Beautiful view, comfy bed, attentive host. Loved the property as well. Great Island Chill vibes, nice bar with some good live music and an old school ocean front pool. Best location in North Kaanapali right across from the Times Marketplace shopping center.

This was a great unit for the winter the balcony still got afternoon sun unlike part of the resort. Perfect size for just the two of Us full kitchen. Although many of the amenities that the resort offers are only for their guests and not subleased units, you have to pay extra to use gym and sauna...also the bed was too soft for us but the linens were quite nice/comfortable. The resort staff are very helpful and friendly it was a great stay. I loved looking down on their grounds, there's a small jungle that has all sorts of birds and flowers and walkways through.

7th floor had a great view of the garden and ocean. We have been here before and love the layout of the grounds.

We came to Kaanapali as part of our Honeymoon and we’re extremely upset with the state of our rental. When we entered our room, we were surprised to find a sign on the door leading to our balcony. The sign stated that we would not be able to access our deck at all, as work was being done (new railings). The deck was locked from the outside. When I looked back through my emails, I was able to find a very subtle message at the bottom of the final email we received the day before arriving. It stated that there would be work happening that may limit the use of the balcony - it never started that we would not be able to access it at all. As you could imagine, we were very disappointed, as this is one of the main reasons we booked this room - the view and the thought of having meals outdoors. When I messaged Vacasa about our disappointment, I was sent a very generic email that did not have any information pertaining to my first email. I emailed them a second time, and was finally told that my message would be sent to the correct department, one that could help me. This was now back in March and I have not heard anything since, even after messaging them multiple times. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the customer service from such a large company and I will never rent from Vacasa again! TERRIBLE!!!!

The ocean view was very nice from the lanai and living room sliding door. The apartment was clean and fairly modern. Everything worked and it was a pleasant stay. It is a studio, so there is not a separate bedroom. But, it is arranged well and works well. Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it had a full kitchen, with full size refrigerator and kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher and stove, along with cooking utensils and dinnerware. I wasn't expecting that in a studio. Only thing that could be better would be the kitchen knives....they were not very sharp and the edge of the blade was a little rusty. But, if that's all there is to complain about, then we did good! I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to others who want a nice place, but don't need a big apartment and want to save a little money.

Stayed with two adults and a small child. Good unit. Kitchen worked, beds were good, came with snorkels and body boards. Only poor part of this unit is the shower. Otherwise would stay here again.

It was a beautiful view. The pull out sofa was about twin size. Love that it came with dishes and cooking stuff. Closet also had beach chairs, snorkeling, and boogie boarding supplies. The only downfall I would say was that the tv did not have internet connection so it wouldn’t work & also there was no house keeping to clean.

Overall, great property. A little confusing with the full property being part private ownership and part resort rental. Not in description is a cost for the gym. Only $7 but should be known before checking in. Smaller property than most in the complex but for us, it was perfect. Great views of the ocean from the patio. Pool was nice too, as there were a couple to choose from. I’d recommend this place for anyone looking for an independent stay (being able to cook/ear/drink on own) vs resort stay with high costs.

We absolutely loved this resort. We stayed in the studio; queen bed, pullout for our teenager. It has a full kitchen. You can’t get extra towels or toilet paper from the resort since your going through VRBO. VRBO only gave us 4 towels for 6 nights and only 2 rolls of toilet paper. That might be enough for 2 people but not for 3 or 4 people. Other than using your same towel for 5 or 6 showers, it was excellent. Oh, wear your mask. My teenager got sick on a snorkeling excursion with a lot of people on board or she got it while shopping in Frint street.

Overall the property was beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The unit was very clean and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because our confirmation indicated free parking. We even called the management company and they confirmed the first car parking was free. However when we checked in at the hotel we had to pay for parking, no exceptions.

While the property and unit itself were both lovely, our family unfortunately had a terrible experience dealing with the unit’s property manager, Vacasa. When we booked, the VRBO ad stayed that the unit slept 4 adults comfortably, and pictured a queen bed and a 2-person sofa bed. Unfortunately when we arrived, we found that the sofa-bed had been swapped out for a single-mattress lounge-chair bed. We contacted Vacasa immediately when we checked in, and were told the local property manager would call us that night and rectify the situation. We didn’t get a phone call, and this began our entire stay of us reaching out via phone call and text to Vacasa, and Vacasa apologizing for our experience, and continuously telling us that the local manager would be in contact with us, yet not contacting us. We spent two nights with a member of our family sleeping on the floor, which is completely unacceptable, and Vacasa was aware of this. We did not make alternative arrangements as we were falsely told by Vacasa that someone would make this right. The day before we were scheduled to check-out, the local Vacasa manager finally contacted us and said that they were sorry, and that they would deliver us a roll-away bed the next day (on the day we were scheduled to check out!!). While the unit itself was clean and had a lovely view of whales and sunsets from the lanai, we will absolutely not be staying anywhere in the future that is managed by Vacasa. We ended up leaving a day before our scheduled check-out day. After being given the run-around I finally requested to be put in contact with a customer care manager, who is now working to see if they can refund us for a portion of our stay. What should have been a lovely stay ended up being a stressful and uncomfortable experience. As a result of our experience, Vacasa has now updated their ad through VRBO, so if you have booked this unit expecting it to sleep 4, please make sure you take note that it actually only sleeps 3, and the sofa-bed that is pictured is not actually the single-person chair bed that you will find upon arrival.

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon here and had an amazing stay. The view from the balcony is as shown and the location of the resort is in walking distance to great food trucks, local shops and Kaanapali beach . The room had all of the amenities we were looking for and we were surprised to find beach items that helped us enjoy some fun in the sun. We would definitely stay here again!

Room 721 at Kaanapali Shores was exactly what we needed. We utilized the well stocked kitchen for cooking meals, enjoyed having our coffee out on the lanai while enjoying the beautiful view and listening to the birds. It was perfect for the two of us. It has a fold out sofa for additional people but I think that would make the room pretty crowded. It is perfect for two. We can’t wait to return!

Older property that could use a refresh. The small kitchen was better supplied than my own! Friendly staff. Room had not been cleaned when we arrived but Vacasa took care of it promptly. Nice, small place if you don’t intend to spend much time in your room. Excellent view!

We really enjoyed out time at Kaanapali Shores, # 721! The view from the balcony was spectacular. We lost count of all the whales we saw. Really - that many!! The swimming pools and hots tubs were so nice and the grounds are perfection. It was nice having a restaurant on-site. The onion rings were the very best I have ever had. The location could not be beat. We didn’t have a car and could walk to different stores and restaurants. We took the bus one day. Super easy and pick was was right by the entrance to the resort. The only minor suggestion would be that a full size couch would be preferred over the loveseat.
