Island Colony is a few steps away from the building is a large concentration of shopping centers, such as Waikiki Shopping Plaza, BeachWalk, and the International Marketplace.
There is truly no end to the stores to wander through, unique dining options, and entertainment such as Hula lessons or cultural shows closeby.
But, if you prefer to explore more of Waikiki or even the greater Oahu area, there are several transportation options.
There is a bus stop located 3 minutes from the Island Colony building.
There is also a Biki rental bike stand nearby, which can be used to explore Waikiki.
You will definitely enjoy all of the perks of the Island Colony condo itself, which offers a nice pool and Jacuzzi as well as the gym, BBQ and mini shop. - all at an affordable price compared to similar hotels in central Waikiki.

Ideal location. Really everything in walking distance 5 -15 minutes. Excellent bus experience can also take you to location of interest, $3.00 International Market and Waikiki Market and other markets where you can buy groceries, prepared meals a few blocks away. They have bbq’s on the 6th Floor where you can cook up your own food, you got from the market. I took advantage of the pool, hot tub and sauna almost every day. Hot tub and sauna was great to relax after a day of touring around . They have a small convenience shop on the 6th floor. Lots of laundry machines, reasonable prices to use. They have a place on ground level you can buy breakfast. Nice view from the balcony I truly believe you would also be as pleased as I was in choosing this place!!!

Reviewer Comments: I had a terrible day on Dec 31, 2023, because I could not enter the room at the time of check in 15:00 due to misinformation of the passcode by Lei Hawaii Realty Inc. I tried making a phonecall to the number given by Lei Hawaii Realty Inc., but nobody answered. I made everyone in my family so disappointed. It was a terrible day of 2023.

I've stayed in Island Colony condos for the last three vacations. Will return. The kitchen sink in the bathroom is quite doable. A few more coffee cups and glasses would be nice. Overall, excellent value, comfortable, great view. 4 digit access code on entry did not work. Luckily Lei Hawaii Realty (host) had supplied us with a backup 4 digit code. Thankfully it worked, and we used it for our entire holiday.

Unit was excellent. Could have used a sink in the main area instead of having to wash dishes in the bathroom. Door code did not work upon arrival at 11pm. Has to rent a hotel room.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We got off to a rough start. Arrived at the condo door at 11:30 pm and discovered that the code given did not work. Two tired individuals in their 80's after a six hour plane ride and could not access the condo. Had to rent a hotel room for the first night as no one answered the emergency number given. Received an email early the next morning with a backup code. Checked and it worked. Refund was given for the hotel room. Unit was clean and had a fantastic view and we enjoyed the stay. Just waiting for a refund for the security deposit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Newly refurbished and just as advertised. Lovely accommodation with the a stunning view in a fab part of Honolulu. The owners were really responsive and very helpful. Even the planned external improvements didn’t really impact our stay so all good. In terms of the apartment, there are a few suggestions for improvements to help with the practicalities of the stay:1. The aircon leaks all over lanai and needs addressing 2. Washing and drying kitchen items is challenging in with the onlySink being in the bathroom. 3. The addition of a clothes airer would be useful to help dry wet towels etc4. A few more kitchen items such as a sieve/strainer, salad bowl etc would be goodHaving said all that our stay was fabulous and we would definitely highly recommend.
