Gorgeous setting with unobstructed views! I very much enjoyed my stay on this beautiful property and would love to come back.
The only minor issue: a crew was working each day replacing the roof directly above the unit, causing noise and a bit of discomfort.

We loved HBR! The perfect hybrid between a resort and a rental. The daily fees do add up but we thought it was worth it. The view was amazing and the grounds of the property are extremely well kept. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The private beach is unbeatable. The pool and hot tub were so peaceful and clean. Happy Talk Lounge and Wiki Pizza were great hangout spots too. We will be back!

As advertised, it was a spectacular view of Hanalei Bay. The overall property is lovely, but you cannot park near the condo. They offer golf cart shuttles, but really we ended up walking quite a distance to get to and from our car.
Biggest complaint: calling this a one-bedroom condo is realllly a stretch. It's a studio. There's one room, with a bed in it. The "kitchenette" is in a closet in the bathroom (which is NOT "spacious"). There's no table for eating, except a bar table out on the balcony, which was a bit untidy, with worn furniture. No privacy, since the neighbor's balcony is about 10 feet away.
The resort fees are steep. Seriously? $50 just to check in?
Having said that, the location was lovely, the overall property was great, the view was really nice. We ate at the bar, which was nice, and the pool complex was very nice. But I wouldn't stay here again.

The resort did not disappoint in amenities, there are a couple pools, a hot tub, restaurant, tennis and pickleball courts and beach access! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and the room had enough necessities and beach toys.

I was in awe the minute I opened the door and saw the view. We would be looking at for the next five days! Just breathtaking! A couple things to note upon arrival, the smoke detector was on the counter in the closet. And a few of the lights./outlets do not seem to be working. We would like to book the same unit and possibly an additional for next year same time! We plan to make this spot an annual event.

Laurie was such an amazing host! She was so responsive and on top of all of our questions. We utilized her rental vehicle on Turo and wow! I usually have to wait hour + at the rental cars at the airport this was less than 10 mins and we were off! The view is spectacular from the room, you over look the mountains and pictures don’t do it justice. We were minutes away from Hanalei and not too far from Tunnels. It was perfect. To get down to the beach on the property, it is quite a hill to walk up and down but if you have any trouble with walking you can always utilize the golf carts that will pick you up/drop off. Same goes for parking your vehicles since that is quite a walk as well (with luggage). An overall fantastic stay and we can’t wait to come again! Thank you so much!

Well appointed resort property, friendly staff and welcoming grounds here.
The unit was very clean, has an exceptional view- best in complex for sunsets - and has just a few minor issues that are easily overlooked- small shower/ door hits the shower head and you have to squeeze in and out of the shower (I’m fairly small so it wasn’t a big deal), small refrigerator door and small drawer above it rub against the wall frame a bit.
Fees disclosed in the property description had gone up a bit- I found this out at check in- parking fee daily and resort fee daily add up but you do get pool access, towels, golf cart shuttles, concierge service and other amenities.
Owner was responsive and there were some refreshments upon arrival which was a nice touch and appreciated- also had a water filter in the fridge.

Even better than our first trip last year! The recliner/casual furniture was an exquisite addition to the lanai. As always our host and property were phenomenal! Two full weeks of amazing views abd pure bliss. Check in/chevk out process was seamless and everyone was very polite and courteous.

This unit has a beautiful view and is comfortable for 2 people. However, it is showing it's age and needs a bit of updating. My husband and I needed to work every day while we were there and this was challenging since there is not a desk or writing table. We accomplished 2 work stations by one of us on the lanai at the high top small table small table and inside using the bedside table. The "kitchenette" is just a small refrigerator, coffee pot and a microwave in the closet. As this is a private property on the resort, you can't get more towels, replacement wine openers, ironing boards, etc., if needed. We were left one hand towel and one wash cloth for 2 people for a 4 day stay. Not worth contacting the property manager as it was a minor inconvenience but it would be nice to have more towels.
We had never been too Kauai and absolutely loved it. Definitely would come to this island again.

If you would like to wake up (and go to bed) with breathtaking views of Bali Hai, and be able to roll out of bed, walk down a lush forested-path to the beach where you can snorkel, or swim, or sit under a tree and read, then I would heartily recommend this property!

My boyfriend and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. The sunset each evening was breath taking. We loved the closeness to beautiful North Shore beaches and snorkeling as well as the national park. It was breathtaking and lovely.

The condo was great for my husband and I. It’s not large, but we don’t need much space. The bed was really comfortable. The best part of the whole place is the amazing view off the balcony. The resort is nice with easy beach access (down a big hill, but that doesn’t bother us), restaurants, pool, tennis courts and friendly staff. Easy drive to Hanalei with is an adorable little town with lots of little shops and restaurants. We loved our stay!

This was our first time to Hawaii and I have no regrets about our decision to stay in Kauai for 10 days. This condo at HBR was spectacular. I do believe this building has the best views of all the bldgs in the whole resort. The minute we stepped on the lanai, I knew this would be an amazing trip. Our unit was clean, plenty of space for the two of us and well stocked with beach chairs, kitchen items and a comfy bed. We liked both the comfy chairs and the bar stools on the lanai. We walked down the hill to the beach each day and decided that the walk back up the hill would help us work off our vacation dining, but the golf carts were visible and easy to contact for anyone needing a ride. We walked over to 1 Hotel one evening and enjoyed walking through that property, but HBR was equally stunning in landscaping and flowers and pools. We loved the restaurant Happy Talk - great drinks, fun live music and a gorgeous view of the property. Truly a special location and a fabulous unit!

This unit was all we hoped it would be. The best part was the view from the lanai. From the lanai, we enjoyed seeing Hanalei Bay, the beach, the mountain cliffs, the rainbows (yes a double rainbow appeared), the sounds of ocean waves and wild birds were a perfect playlist for anytime of day. Wonderful one bedroom unit with a balcony that overlooks the Hanalei Bay and mountains behind. Great beaches. Good facilities on site and lots of local eating options on the quiet North Shore. Our gist was very helpful and even provided beach gear for guests to use! Definitely worth a visit.

Met some very nice people, everyone everywhere was friendly except for the one girl, with the star on her face, who checked us in at the front desk. Wolf was our favorite. He gave us good tips. Amazing view (can’t say this enough), access to the beautiful small secluded beach, and the Happy Talk restaurant with fun live music nightly are the 3 reasons we would return. Very clean and organized studio condo. This particular bldg is a hike to the parking area so they offer a golf cart service which you will definitely need for your luggage arriving and departing (make sure to bring cash to tip each time). The beautiful large pool is not heated which meant no one was using it and the one small hot tub was constantly over crowded :(
The condo owner was very responsive and pleasant to communicate with :) However the woman who checked us in to the property was curt and dismissive and mostly concerned that we must wear the neon yellow bracelets every minute we are on the property (even at the restaurant) because “this is private property”. This property also has several tennis courts and is adjacent to a golf community and felt very country club type vibes. Great if that’s your thing. Not so much our thing. It seems the whole Princeville area tries to be private and exclusive. We preferred to hang at the beautiful little beach (turtles and snorkeling) or go into Hanalei. This was the 3rd of three different properties we stayed at during a 15 day trip.

The property is well maintained. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They were painting the unit when we were there so there were a few glitches that the property manager was quick to address. The property manager was very nice. The view from the room was amazing. The room is a bit of a walk to the pool and other amenities. They do offer golf cart transportation. They were very prompt with picking us up. Beautiful resort and beautiful views. The room had some nice amenities and thoughtful touch of snacks and a few drinks. Room had mini fridge. Coffee maker and microwave when we were there.

The property is large, many "condos". One of the nicest view wise. Quiet, confortable, a larger table outside on deck would provide much need space to eat meals. Bed was comfortable.

It was perfect for the two of us. Hands down the most amazing view in the resort. I love the little path down to Hideaways Beach. The shared gear was wonderful and allowed us to easily snorkel. Check in and out process was seamless and the room was clean and just as advertised/anticipated. When we return, we will be seeking out this unit again!

Lovely condo with everything we needed and amazing view. My daughter and I had breakfast on the patio every morning before setting out for the day. Little beach with good snorkeling was a five minute walk. Loved the property. Local market was easy to get to and we stocked the mini fridge the first night. We will be back and will rent owner’s car again. We loved our time there!

We were excited to find this listing for our first trip to Kauai. The room was clean and felt very comfortable. The main attraction, the view is even better in person. It was absolutely stunning. But if I were the owner, I would replace the deck bar top rickety table and rickety chairs They are definitely dangerous. Five stars all the way, except for the deck furniture which is why you want to stay there ….to be comfortable and enjoy the view.

I will come stay here every time I ever visit Kaua’i! It was that good! Although personally I would enjoy a more comfortable lounging chair outside, so maybe just a recommendation from me to the host ;), but that didn’t stop us from thoroughly enjoying the whole stay. From the moment you walk in the view takes your full attention and I believe this building has the best views on the property. The property was very clean, nicely decorated with a Hawaiian feel that was tasteful. It has everything you need for a studio with a small kitchenette with microwave, small fridge, plates, cups, etc. The owner left a few beers, seltzer water and Keurig coffees for our use. The king bed was very comfortable, I would only recommend having memory foam pillows to make it perfect. The balcony contains a high top table with two chairs to see over the railing. It would be awesome to add two comfy lower chairs on the balcony to relax on as the room only has one very nice chair to relax in. Otherwise we used the bed to relax on. The owner was very responsive, the resort was nice and well maintained. The staff was friendly. We never had a problem parking and we were in and out a lot. The private beach was gorgeous, it was nice to be able to call up the golf cart to get a ride back up. My husband surfed at the beach, lots of families down there enjoying the swimming. I would highly recommend staying here and I know they have the other condos on the property for those who might want more than a studio but it was the perfect size for two. The owner was very generous after we experienced a hot water issue that was addressed quickly. Definitely book this property, you will love it.

The view from this property was spectacular. Our stay would have been greatly improved by having a comfortable place to sit while enjoying this view. The table and chairs on the lanai were small and difficult to use. I would describe this unit as a nicely decorated hotel room with a kingsize bed and one side chair, microwave and fridge in the bathroom area. If this is all you need, great! Again the view was amazing.

This second story unit is a "cozy" studio but perfect for a couple. Nice touches included several chilled non alcoholic beverages, an assortment of creamer & coffee pods for the Keurig and a few snacks/bags of chips which we really appreciated when we arrived. The view is absolutely beautiful and I recommend making it to the gas fire pit during sunset. The pool swim-up bar was still under renovation and no one at the resort, during our stay, used the pool because the water was too cold which was a little disappointing. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the beautiful furnishings in the property, and sitting out on the lovely deck. There is an incredible view of the ocean and the mountains from the deck. It actually overlooks the spot where the movie South Pacific (1958) was filmed, as well as the very area the song "Some Enchanted Evening" was filmed- absolutely enchanting!

The room was a large bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, a very tiny kitchen area consisting of a microwave and a minifrig and a few dishes/glasses. Beautiful view of Hanalei Bay. Unit was basically a glorified hotel room. Long walk to the parking lot although motorized cart service was available. About 3 weeks before our trip we were informed that there was a $30.00 per day parking charge that wasn't disclosed earlier. Restaurant listed on the resort map hasn't existed for 10 years! Long downhill walk to the beach but a cart up and back was available. Nice tennis courts and beautiful pool with hot tub was available.

Hanalei Bay Resort and this unit can best be described as heaven on earth. Likely some of the best views on the property from this building. Grounds are immaculate and akin to a botanical garden. The unit itself was clean and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Laurie was very kind and responsive to all our questions. We’ll be dreaming of the views and the sunsets until we return again. Thanks to Laurie and her family for sharing this amazing piece of paradise.

The views of Hanalei Bay from this unit are simply spectacular! It’s a little far from parking, but the staff is just a quick call away for a ride anywhere at the resort. The beach has lots of shady areas, the sand is course, not soft, and the waves were super gentle. Everything in the room was very comfortable, and super clean. Happy Talk Lounge is closed Tuesday & Wed, but we did eat there one evening… get there early. The live music was a bonus, and the band was really great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay. A+++

The place was clean, cute, and had the best view! The place also offers chairs, boards, and other fun beach stuff. The resort is walking distance to the puu Poa beach. The property manager was so quick to respond. We will be back!
