This was my third time staying at Kimberlee’s place in Princeville and us usual it was wonderful! The location is great being right in the middle of the north shore. The room is beautiful with tall ceilings, lots of windows providing a nice cross breeze. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets are soft. Access to a nice porch with gorgeous views of the golf course and mountains surrounding Hanalei. But what I love most is Kimberlee, she is the perfect host and always makes me feel right at home. She’s also a great reference for surf spots and beaches. I always enjoy my stay here and I look forward to many more visits here.

My family and I stayed in Kimberlee’s rental for 10 days. This unit was not professionally cleaned (despite a hefty cleaning fee). There were pests on countertops and in silverware drawers, the owner had expired and moldy food in the fridge and the fridge itself was dirty. She claimed she didn’t clean a top shelf but the cleanliness and health concerns extended beyond a top shelf. There was a dishwasher advertised in the listing but it didn’t work and no one was sent to fix it. She offered for her granddaughter (since she was out of town) to do our dishes—not sure how many guests would feel comfortable contacting a host’s granddaughter to come in repeatedly during a stay to do dishes. Furniture was old/not maintained, the bed was uncomfortable, and the road noise was loud even with fans and a noise machine.
This is the owners home and half of the lanai is blocked with her belongings and there is limited closet/shelf space for travelers. The shelving available was broken. We expressed our concerns to Kimberlee soon after arrival and while she felt bad, little was done.
Since we were traveling a distance with an infant we wanted to avoid moving rentals but as the issues began piling up, we saw no other option. When we asked for a refund for our remaining dates, she denied our request. If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway that meets basic health/cleanliness standards, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Kimberlee's property is delightful! Waking up each day with coffee on the lanai overlooking the golf course with the mountains in the background was the perfect start to the day. A short drive to Hanalei Bay and walks to great beaches for snorkeling. Kimberlee provides beach towels and snorkeling gear - a much appreciated extra! Never had a problem finding a convenient parking space in the complex.
Everything about our stay was comfortable and convenient - this is a great value!
Thanks Kimberlee!

We enjoyed our stay at Kimberlee's home. Parking was ample, and check-in was easy. We appreciated the A/C in the bedroom. The shower had nice water pressure. The place is nicely decorated and homey. We did encounter a couple of small pests, but we tried not to be alarmed as that is pretty common for island living.
The location is central for the north shore--easy drives to Haena State Park, Hanalei Valley and Kilauea towns. It's also a lovely walk to the golf course where you can see sweeping views of the mountains.

Such a lovely self catering apartment with beautiful views and fresh open plan layout. Has everything you'll ever need and the best host ever! I'll be returning soon and would more than recommend Kimberlee as your first choice!

We came in sick and tired from a long trip from the Philippines and was welcomed with such an inspiring and comfortable stay. Kimberlee has a little gem here in Princeville. A home away from home. The space was shared with some of Kimberlee’s personal things which was the prior agreement and that was fine with us. Can’t thank her enough for this wonderful stay. Oh and the AC was so helpful. This space is for the open traveler interested in comfortable rest and beautiful experience.

I love this apartment …the decor is very thoughtful & inspiring — Which brings great energy to the space.
Everything I needed was available to me from the kitchen utensils/appliances (washer & dryer) to tub in the bathroom!
I didn’t mind the morning wake up call from the rooster that roams the area because it got me up walking early morning (there are ‘wild’ roosters & chickens all over the island).
The area has great walking paths, nice hike down to the beach, and a few restaurants (I enjoyed the pizza shop & the restaurant on the golf course - both in walking distance).
As a single female traveler, I felt safe.
I will definitely rebook this apartment and bring a friend to enjoy it with me next time.

My husband and I stayed several nights here for our honeymoon, and loved it. The location is beautiful (of course) and feels like a very nice neighborhood. The home was very cute and cozy and had everything we needed. Kimberlee was an awesome host! We are thankful to have found such a perfect spot for our honeymoon!

The property manager, Kimberlee was friendly and responsive but the communication was not clear and the apartment was probably the least clean place we stayed in.
1. Parking: we asked Kimberlee about parking (it wasn't clear on the instructions) and she said we would be able to use a reserved spot starting Jan 9th (we stayed there from the 8th to 12th) without any mention of the time. At 11:30 pm on Jan 8th, we came back home and the reserved spot was empty. Since (from what I understand) it’d be our spot in 30 minutes and there was no available unreserved spot, we figured we would park there. Around 11:45 pm, we heard our neighbors arguing and shouting. My partner confronted them and they told us the spot we parked our car was theirs until 10 PM the next day. We moved our car but found a big scratch on the entire passenger side of our car from the front tire to the trunk, which we suspect was from the confusion and frustration of the parking situation. If we had we known that the spot was reserved until TEN PM the next day, we wouldn't have parked there. Wish there was clearer communication about parking. Also, if you don't have a reserved spot, it will be hard to find a spot in the evening.
2. Cleanliness: The trash can in the kitchen wasn't emptied and there were a lot of ants, beetles and we even saw a maggot near one of the trash cans. There were clothes in the dryer and some trash (empty cans, etc) under the fridge. Two of the four towels they provided had stains. It just didn't look like the place was professionally cleaned.
There were some minor issues like the host entering the apartment without our permission and unclear instructions on where things are.
They did provide beach towels and the washer in the apt worked well, but because of the two major issues I described, I wouldn't recommend this place.
