Loved the area, resort, amenities, room, and view. This area has an upscale vibe as opposed to Hanalei Bay which has a more laid-back, surfing vibe. The bed was very comfortable and access to this 3rd floor room was very easy from the parking lot. Some parts of the room and stairwell to the room were a bit dated, but all minor. Would love to stay there again.

The unit is in a resort that is a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach! Parking was very close to the unit and Princeville was a wonderful place to stay with great snorkeling at the beach near Hanalei Bay. My partner and I noticed an unpleasant urine smell near the bed but Dave was quick to respond with solutions and short term fixes. The unit was well stocked with towels, soap, beach equipment, and laundry pods for the in unit washer/dryer. Dave said he would have the carpets shampooed so I don’t see this being an issue in the future but it did impact our stay. Overall I would happily stay here again!

Extremely nice condo on the 3rd floor with an amazing view of the mountains and bay. Very clean and comfortable. Short walk to the beach with a shuttle available to bring you back. Plenty of beach toys in the unit. Great area to walk around. Resort grounds are very well maintained and staff is very friendly.

Dave’s place was perfect for our first visit to Kauai! My daughter and I enjoyed the lanai and breathtaking views as we had breakfast each AM. The resort is beautiful and we always felt safe. The shuttle service to and from the beach is quick and very helpful.
All staff at the resort are super helpful and friendly. I would definitely book Dave’s place on another visit to Princeville.

We had a great stay at Hanalei Bay Resort. Its a beautiful and well kept resort in a beautiful location. The unit itself was very clean, comfortable and exactly as decribed, perfectly located a short walk from the pool, Happy Talk and the lobby and also has a perfect view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the a/c works well. Dave was great to work with and always quick to respond with any questions we had. We will definitely come back

Our stay was fantastic and really enjoyed our condo. The view of Hanalei Bay was beautiful everyday to wake up to. The grounds were gorgeous and we were close to everything we wanted to do. Second stay at this unit, amazing third floor view. Close proximity to pool and ice machine. Bit of a walk to the barbecues until we figured out the shortcut through the pool area. Kitchen is basic and utensils and pans are a bit thin but enough for the task. In all you'd be hard pressed to find a better unit and view for the price so we would book again in a heartbeat and will every second year.

Beautiful location/property with an amazing view of the mountains and bay from the lanai. Waking up to that view from the bed was a treat. Property manager was prompt with responses. Checkin process was easy. Unit was clean and bed was comfortable. Only down side was the washer/dryer in unit was not operable during our stay. There are other coin operated machines available for use in the adjacent building but it would’ve been nice to have one in the unit, especially after a day of hiking, beach, pool, etc. Overall, we had a great stay!

The view out of the window was spectacular. The property was nice, quiet. We had no trouble finding chairs by the pool or shade at the beach. The restaurant on site was great for dinner and drinks with live entertainment.

Beautiful, clean, quiet property, with pristine views in all directions. Miles of walking paths either down to beach or toward town. Incredible views from the lanai. Staff on site are all very friendly, and helpful. You feel like family! This was truly special and memorable getaway for us celebrating 20 years. We are leaving today to see the south side of the island and my husband does not want to leave! He loves it here so much!

Just celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary in Princeville, Kauai at Hanalei Bay Resort. Truly paradise! The resort was so peaceful with areas to watch the sunset, very nice pool and hot tub, and excellent beach area adjacent to Hotel One. We were able to use their poolside bar and grill while on the beach, which was very convenient. The condo had everything we needed, and was very clean and simple. The bed truly is super nice and comfortable, with a perfect view! Pillows and sheets were nice as well. Owner was very accommodating to our request for a slightly late check out. We already hope to return to the North Shore for more hiking of the Napali Coast and will definitely plan to stay here again!!

As a general note on the resort or Hawaii, there seems to be not much recycling going on. We are used to do composting and recycling to reduced our impact on the environment. Recycling should be the norm these days. And please during your vacation buy local to Hawaii if you can.

Location of hotel in best part of Kauai, close to the best beaches and town of Hanalei. Hotel staff very nice, easy check in and self parking a plus as lot was close to unit. Communication great with host and would rent again in a second.

1. The views- absolutely the most beautiful- both sunsets and sunrises too- and yes we were perched up high so we had first class views of Hanalei Bay. And the snorkeling was so first class-lots of beautifully coloured fish & tons of turtles. The suite had everything you need- lawn chairs, boogie boards, 3 sizes of coolers, big screen TV, the kitchen was fully equipped and the lanai that overlooks Hanalei Bay- oversized! This 20 acre piece of paradise was perfect in every way- the front desk made check-in easy and our host Dave always answered our questions promptly. All in all- a 10 out of 10- we will gladly book for next year as well. Can’t wait. Dave- we thank you for such a beautiful holiday- Les and Lori- Calgary, Alberta, Canada

It was so nice to get up in the morning and look out at the beautifully landscaped resort, Hanalei Bay, and the mountains - we spent a lot of time on our lanai enjoying that! In general the unit was well supplied, but could use a couple of additions in the kitchen (no frying pans, no flat spatulas for flipping, etc). But we would definitely rent this unit again!

The property was beautiful and had a lovely view. In the future if we visit the island, we plan to stay on the south rather than this, the north side. Being vegan I had a very hard time finding anything nutritious to eat, even at the grocery stores, and every restaurant (non vegan) constantly had long waits.

Great spot in the stunning North Shore of Kauai. One of the most beautiful views you can get out of a room! It was great having a kitchenette as well to prepare meals. Plus, having access to the Hanalei Bay Resort is a bonus too!

Amazing 10 days. Could easily stay months without getting bored. The view from the unit is epic. We saw a single and double rainbow over Hanalei bay on two separate occasions. I am a botanist and I found the grounds to be better maintained and containing more species than some botanical gardens. The pool and hot tub are sublime, for those that like a natural pebble bottom pool. The waterfall hot tub with sand bottom is simply amazing!
The kitchenette and washer dryer give you everything you need for a long stay. The WiFi signal was fast and strong. The room looks classy with the TV tucked away in a wood cabinet with doors. Very comfortable bed perfectly positioned for enjoying the view in ultimate comfort. The Large Lanai is gorgeous any time of day and the table is perfect for enjoying a take-out meal. while observing the sunset or lighted pool at night. Excellent access to parking. The walk to the beautiful beach is shaded, paved and an excellent mini-workout. The staff was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay in this unit again. The check-in was quick and frictionless. Everything was really perfect. I am still feeling so relaxed and happy after this trip.

Perfect place to spend a week on Kauai north shore... beautiful accommodations, resort, easy access to a touring, nice to have a kitchenette, also. View is beyond gorgeous and made merely relaxing on the lanei a joy. We also had the good fortune to meet the owners of this rental who happened to be in Hawaii simultaneously— they were gracious, welcoming and offered great dining and beach suggestions.

As the resort opens more fully, I’m assuming the eating, drinking options shall improve. I could have used laundry soap( 1 load). It wasn’t available at the laundry rooms at the resort as advertised, but no biggie. Thanks Dave, you are a great host.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dave's unit at Hanalei Bay Resort! The views were even better than what the photos depicted, the bed was super comfy, and the towels were fluffy and smelled wonderful. One thing I would like to point out is that coffee in the room is NOT supplied. This was a surprise, since we've stayed at VRBO's several times, and it's always been supplied. However, this must be a new thing, since the next unit we stayed in on a different part of the island only supplied one "complimentary" day's worth of coffee. We were able to purchase some coffee from the front desk for our stay. Also, there was very little toilet paper in the room, and no facial tissues, so we had to use toilet paper. Since we spent very little time in the room except in the evenings, it turned out not to be a problem. The resort itself is stunning, the staff is wonderful, and the location of Dave's unit has plenty of close parking and is situated next door to the office. We were pleasantly surpised to find that the Happy Talk restaurant is open even though we only had time for one meal there during our visit. We had a great stay and would definitely stay in Dave's unit again!

The first thing you see when you walk into Dave's unit will take your breath away- the view of the mountains and bay as a backdrop to the lush landscaping of HBR. We lingered, probably a bit too long, on the spacious lanai each morning over breakfast. We came to Kauai for our Sacred Hawaiian wedding on Anini beach and this condo was the perfect base for us. The washer and dryer and kitchenette served us well. There is ample room to organize all your belongings and lots of beach supplies were provided. The unit was conveniently located near the pool and lobby/restaurant. The bed was very comfortable, the furnishings very attractive.We would definitely reserve this unit for a return visit to the North Shore.

This is a condo owned privately that is in the Hanalei Bay Resort which is in Princeville (therefore you do not have to worry about waiting to get to Hanalei unless you want to visit the town. The resort provides information on the opening/closing of the convoy). Spacious and absolutely beautiful overlook on the porch. Walk to the beach, great pool. Beach towels provided. Make sure to check times restaurant is open- live music was amazing.

My wife and I love our stay at this property! The view of Hanalei Bay from the lanai and room was truly amazing and one we will never forget. The room is clean and spacious and well equipped with everything you would need. The bed is very comfortable and hard to leave each morning. Air conditioning in the unit kept it cool during a very warm evening. The beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards were nice to have and in good condition.
The resort itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The pool and swim up bar were nice for the evenings after a day at the beach. The Happy Talk Lounge is a fun place right on the property to get drinks, food, and listen to live music.
Dave, the owner of the unit was very kind and helpful and quick to respond. I would recommend staying in the unit and my wife and I can’t wait to return as soon as possible!

Great place to stay for a relaxing week! Dave’s place is right next to the restaurant, a 1 minute walk away from the pool, and an 8 minute walk from the ocean. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the deck, which has a beautiful view of the pool & ocean. We loved having a drink out there in the evening and listening to the live music from the restaurant. The place was very clean and had everything you needed! Highly recommend for a hassle free, relaxing week in Kauai!!

Hanalei Bay Resort is minutes from everything hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, shopping, dining and all of the beaches. The amenities and service are excellent!!!!
