Honua Kai Resort K430 Reviews

We had a great stay in the condo at Honua Kai. We have visited this resort several times and rented many different condos at this specific resort. The condo had all of the basics we needed and we were comfortable. The carpet was very dirty but everything else seemed clean and comfortable. We went out and purchased a coffee maker because the unit only had an Keurig that uses K cups. Our family doesn’t use single use plastic that gets heated. We also like to enjoy local coffee while on the islands. Other than the slight inconvenience everything else was wonderful! The property management company provided excellent customer service and communication.

The resort is in a great location with easy beach access and nice pool area. Being close to Duke’s Restaurant is also a bonus. It would be nice to have cushions on the pool lounge chairs especially since it’s billed as a luxury resort. The valet service was awesome. The staff were as friendly and helpful as could be! The room could use a hug. There were lots of dings in the walls, the carpet is worn and there’s a tear in the couch. The dining cushions were taken to be re-covered. They weren’t replaced or returned during our stay. The kitchen is well appointed which we appreciated. All in all we had a terrific stay, and will probably come back!

Love the Honua Kai facility. Stayed there several other times; always in the main towers (Hokulani). Unit K-430 was as shown in the listing however we missed having a view of the ocean, and the bathroom was VERY small as was the bedroom closet! We felt like the units in the Konea Building were more “budget” minded and a generally smaller. That said, however, it was clean and as adveryised

Nice unit, always a great location on Ka'anapali Beach, but needs extra TLC in cleaning. Wall to wall carpet needs cleaning, living room sofa needs cleaning, replace bathroom towels. They smell old. Need bleach when washing or about time to update to new towels, we use Costco towels for our rentals. Touch up big paint chips above toilet in bathroom. Otherwise, all good. Quiet and convenient location in building.

October was a magical time to visit the island of Maui. The property where we stayed was the perfect apartment for our family of four. It was a one bedroom for myself and my husband and a large pull out couch for our two boys who are aged 8 and 12 years old. Every single day our kids were smiling, and they simply enjoyed every minute of our vacation. The facilities had a pool, but most importantly access to a nearly private beach, where we played for hours every day and watched the sunset. Our apartment was facing the sunrise every morning, which I thought was really perfect because in the shade in the afternoon if we wanted to sit on the lanai and enjoy some afternoon snacks, and relax. The kitchen was stocked with all of the necessities so we could cook meals at home. The property management staff were extremely accessible and helpful and responded immediately to any of our calls and messages without any delay. All in all a 10 out of 10 experience. Extremely comfortable and perfect for our location.

Our family absolutely loved our week at Honua Kai! The kids loved all the pools and how close you are to the beach. The room was perfect, such a nice balcony to eat on and all the kitchen supplies you need. Everything was clean. The view off the balcony is nice this direction too, even though you're not looking at the ocean of course. The property manger called during our stay to make sure everything was going well. Nice having Duke's on the property. It is a bit pricey so we ended up only eating there once, but it was great. We were there 2 weeks before the devastating fires, and are thankful we got to experience Lahaina town (about 10 min away) the way it used to be. Can't believe it's gone now. Sending prayers to those in Maui! I'm not sure what tourism is going to be like in the near future in Maui, but I would highly recommend this resort/room 430 if you're considering visiting Ka'anapali sometime in the future!

The property Honua Kai is very beautiful with water features and lush vegetation. The pools are very nice however they are not heated quite enough compared to other high end hotels in the area. The Unit was nice but could use a few little fixes. The towel rack in the bathroom kept falling off the wall and the curtains in the living room are not attached up at the top in a few spots, some of the furniture is scratched or torn but overall the Unit is very nice and well stocked with everything you would need. The biggest issue we had with the unit its self was the VERY poor lighting in the bathroom. It was impossible to apply makeup or for my husband to shave. The only other mirror in the entire unit was inside of a dark closet that you would literally have to stand inside to use(also horrible lighting). There is a long wall at the end of the galley kitchen that could easily and attractively support a full length mirror or even the back of the bedroom door and I hope for the sake of the nest guest they consider my suggestion. It may sound trivial but we would not stay here again based on 7 days of very bad lighting. I found Tiffany, the property manager to be very pleasant and easy to reach by phone but I was not really able to communicate with her via VRBO as she did not respond to my messages. The only other thing I would mention is that the swimable beach (without a coral reef) is about one mile down the beach walk, not directly in front of the hotel. Overall beautiful!

We had a great time. Property manager went above and beyond. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect accommodation.

Check in was difficult. We had to go to concierge 3 times to get our wristbands and parking pass. Difficult to communicate with anyone re our rental.

We are a family of 4 ( with two young boys) and this unit served our purpose well. Everything was working, no issues with AC, bugs and what not. I really appreciate that I can make breakfast meals and do the laundry. The beach chairs and umbrella were really useful.( Aulani charges $100 for two chaise lounges and an umbrella. ) No need to pay for parking. The laundry and detergent pods were more than enough. Overall, great resort. Unit is definitely a step up to a regular hotel room for half the price!

My family and I had an excellent stay here, we enjoyed the convenience of the kitchen having two small children. The property was great as was the location.

Great property and location. Resort was fun for the kids with the many pools and beach. Short drive to Lahaina for additional activities. Would stay again.
