Hidden away in the outer rim of The Fairways community in the coveted Mauna Lani resort area sits this spacious and modern 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 2-story townhome. This area along the south Kohala Coast of the Big Island is regarded as having the finest weather and beaches that Hawai'i has to offer. With over 2000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space, this home is the perfect spot for a fun-filled and relaxing holiday in a tropical paradise.


This townhome has recently been renovated to offer the stylish comfort found at the nearby 5-star hotels but with the convenience of a fully-stocked home, and the amenities of a premier resort. The floor plan here is ideal for privacy and comfort with both bedrooms upstairs away from the main living area and on far ends of the home. The overall design of the home seamlessly blends the island aesthetic with modern contemporary touches.


The newly furnished Lower Lanai offers a completely private outdoor living space including a dining area for 6 with a wet bar and Viking grill, adjacent to an outdoor living room with sectional furniture that can be configured to your needs. This entire area faces the lava field and tropical vegetation without pedestrian or car access and without any visible structures, it’s the perfect area to host family BBQ’s or drinks with friends, or to just spend some quality alone time. The Upper Lanai is located above this one, directly off the Master Suite, and offers the same private and stunning tropical views with loungers and seating.

Upon entry, the first thing you will note is the dwelling’s open and bright floor plan, with open-cove ceilings and a lofty two-story central stairwell up to the two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. Immediately off the Entry Hall is a powder room for guests and laundry room with all products provided, as well as direct access to the attached garage for loading up the car for your daily adventures or to just head to the beach with the equipment and toys that we provide. Besides offering private enclosed parking, the garage has a closet filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, blankets, coolers, snorkel gear for adults and kids, boogie and body boards, a surf board, paddle board, and 4 bicycles all for guest use.

The entryway leads into the Great Room with plenty of seating for living and dining, and direct access to the Lower Lanai. The completely updated and fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, island-bar seating, and new stainless-steel appliances. The kitchen is fully outfitted with chef-quality cookware and knives, new dishes, silverware, stemware and bar ware, and is fully stocked with all the appliances, tools, and secondary items needed to prepare gourmet meals at home. The adjacent dining area offers formal dining for 6 and a glass slider to the Lower Lanai and BBQ. The living area has seating for 6 with a pull-out sofa bed available for a third couple or children, and features a new 65" 4K UHD LED LCD television for movie nights and gaming.

The central stairwell takes you up to two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms:

Master Suite: main room features a King bed with a new high-density foam mattress topper, large new 4K UHD TV, ceiling fan, and multiple pillow options for all preferences. The adjacent lounge has a trundle/daybed that offers two Twin beds for parents who prefer to sleep near their children. One side has a glass slider that opens to the Upper Lanai facing the lava field and tropical vegetation, the other side is a hallway with a large mirrored closet that leads to the en-suite Bath, which includes a powerful whirlpool bathtub and oversized shower, double vanity, and private toilet. All bathrooms feature products by Malie, a local Hawaiian company that creates organic spa-quality bath products with the scents of the islands.

Guest Suite: main room features two Double (Full) beds with new high-density foam mattress toppers, new 4K UHD TV, ceiling fan, and multiple pillow options for all preferences. Includes an en-suite bathroom with shower and tub, all bath products by Malie.

Additional amenities provided: sturdy fold-up desk in Master closet, pack & play for babies/toddlers, ironing board and iron, luggage racks, moveable large room fans, heated hair-styling devices including hair dryers, curling iron, and styling brush, lighted/magnified vanity mirror, and various games and toys. The attached one-car garage is available for your use, with storage for all the beach equipment and toys we offer for guest use.

Your stay includes access to the private parking lot directly in front of the Mauna Lani Beach Club, located just a 7-minute drive from the home. There is a highly acclaimed ocean-side restaurant and bar (Napua), coral reef snorkeling, a white sand beach and a large partially shaded grass area. Covered cabanas and sunbathing lounge chairs are on the beach at no charge, exclusively for guests of Mauna Lani.

The Fairways at Mauna Lani is just a 30-minute drive north of Kona Airport in the beautiful Mauna Lani resort, and is ideally situated between the Fairmont Orchid Hotel (10 min. walk, 3 min. bike ride), the Shops of Mauna Lani (20 min. walk, 5 min. bike ride), and the Mauna Lani Auberge Hotel (30 min. walk, 10 min. bike ride. The Fairways is an impeccably maintained, luxury gated community on over 20 acres adjacent to the Francis H. Brown North Golf Course, one of two championship golf courses within the resort. Amenities at the Fairways include a large and luxurious free-form swimming pool, rock waterfall spa, a large BBQ pavilion and sun deck, and a fitness center with air conditioning, all set within a lush tropical landscape and just a 5 minute walk from the home. Within Mauna Lani you can dine and use the services at the two hotels; shop, dine, and buy groceries at The Shops; enjoy the Beach Club and explore the lesser known 49 Black Sand Beach or one of the five white sand beaches and waterfront. There are historic petroglyphs and ancient fish ponds, and various free cultural activities offered at the Shops. Meet turtles swimming in the ocean, sunning on the rocks, or those that are part of the Mauna Lani honu preservation program.

Checking in & out was super easy and the owners did a great job communicating all needed information before we arrived. This is a great option for anyone looking for a laidback getaway on a really beautiful area of the island.

We were on our honeymoon and we really enjoyed this townhouse! We loved all of the well equipped beach gear and bikes. Having the beach club pass was a huge perk! We were hoping to have a location on a beach or walkable to the beach, but this did not have either. we did drive down to the small beach at the end of the road to watch sunset which was beautiful. We did have to bike or drive to get to where we were going. The owners were super responsive and communicative. They literally had everything at this place! Very well equipped.

Beautiful, clean home. Lots of little extras to make the stay special. I think we used the beach chairs and towels everyday! We had planned to explore more beaches, but when we realized how nice the beach club was with great snorkeling, we went there several days. The pool and hot tub were great ways to round out the evenings. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and supplies. Parking was convenient. And beds were comfortable. It was a great home base for our adventures. Thank you to owner for all his tips and suggestions. It made for a wonderfully fun and relaxing vacation for our family.

Do not hesitate to book, this unit and amenities are spectacular!! Inside the unit, the kitchen is well-stocked, and the cookware and appliances are a step above your typical rental. The beds and linens are super comfortable. My favorite spot in the condo was the lanai off the primary, the 2 loungers were a great way to enjoy some fresh air outside. Plus the pool and beach access for this property were just perfect. We love this spot on the island, it is very close to all the best beaches and other resorts. The owners are very organized and thoughtful. Superb!!

Great condo! Very private and quiet unit, nice to sit on the lanai off the bedroom and enjoy a view of greenery and lava fields. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed and more. Hosts have put much care and attention to detail with extra touches like night lights, charging blocks, and a garage with bicycles and plenty of beach gear. Pool is nice, a short walk, and easy to access. Condo has a relaxing vibe and appealing décor. Very roomy. Master bedroom and bath are huge and comfortable. Jon was extremely communicative and responsive, instructions and communications were detailed and easy to follow. I like this area because it is close to the nice beaches, a short drive to Waimea, and there are tons of great trails at the resort. Close to a nice grocery store where you can get food to go or stock up on almost everything you need. Also there is a great beach (walkable or about a 2 minute drive) just down the road where I would watch sunset every night. This beach connects to trails all along the shore and you can walk and whale watch. Thanks for a great stay! I would definitely rent here again.

If you are looking for a clean vacation rental with a fully stocked kitchen, and beach equipment for adults and kids, this is the place for you. It is conveniently located near many snorkeling locations, the easiest being the Mauna Lani beach club. Land lord was very welcoming and responsive.

The owners went above and beyond to thoughtfully stock the property with essentials. From the Kona coffee to the aloe Vera in case of sunburn, we felt welcomed and comfortable in this home. The space was large enough for our family of five and provided many spaces for gathering or resting. We look forward to staying again and would highly recommend this property!

This condo was perfect. A great location to explore from. All the little things such as a well stocked kitchen for cooking; all the beach gear including bungee cords for surfboards; the bikes (teens could explore independently) and all the little instructions thoughtfully placed made our stay seamless.
