Fabulous views, privacy and quiet were foremost for us in choosing where to build our dream home in Hawaii. We looked for several years before finding this special Maui hilltop location on the side of the volcano. The main villa sits at the top of the hill, with the privacy protected by an entry gate.

We aspired not to live in a tailored gated community but rather to a feeling of informality in a serene, natural more rural setting. It was also important to us to be free as possible from the noise arising from airports, close neighbors and road traffic. Our 2 ½ acres feels secluded, and we hear the birds and the breeze rather than road noise.

We chose Maui's north shore because our family is very active in sporting activities, and we manage to surf, windsurf, kite board, boogie board, snorkel, stand-up paddle, fish, and run (in the pineapple fields). Our location is reasonably central so that trips to Makawao and to the top of Haleakala volcano, to Hana, to Makena or to Lahaina are all easy.

When you walk into Pinnacle, you'll be in the Great room, looking through the house, across the pool to ocean and mountain views. It's truly breathtaking! There are very few places on Maui that can offer such a vista.
This home was constructed with top quality materials and fixtures. The layout runs along the edge of the hill, so that all rooms look out to the view. Most guests tell us that they rarely leave the property, since they're so happy relaxing by the pool, enjoying the view.

We stayed at Pinnacle for a week to celebrate our anniversary and we can’t wait to come back! The property is phenomenal in every aspect. You’re greeted by towering pine trees on the drive up and the most beautifully landscaped and secluded setting imaginable. The house has high end finishes and just feels very luxurious throughout. The view is stunning and truly 180 degrees. There are no visible houses in any direction so it’s truly unobstructed views of the north shore and west Maui mountains where we watched the sunset nearly every day. We toured the entire island and the best view, hands down, was from the backyard of Pinnacle. The location was perfect for us - 3 minutes to the Haiku market grocery store, top notch sushi, food trucks, 5 minutes to Hookipa Beach where sea turtles and surfers hang out, 10 minutes to mile marker zero on the road to Hana, 10 minutes to Paia which has tons of restaurants, coffee shops and beaches and 20 minutes to the airport. Check in was a breeze and the hosts provide excellent service. We can’t recommend Pinnacle enough and can’t wait to come back!!

Rented this property for 8 nights in May 2021 with my wife and two young kids (3 year old and 6 month old), and we absolutely loved our stay. The mornings were wonderful to wake up to sunrise and west maui Mountain View’s with birds chirping and cows grazing in valley below. Our 3 year old son loved to get into the hot tub every morning by 6:30am to play. Evenings were beautiful to watch sunsets and enjoy some drinks and food. The kitchen is well equipped and made breakfast and dinners a breeze, especially with outdoor grill as well. There is a handful of beaches all within 5-10 minute drive you can easily get to. I highly recommend this property, especially if this is not your first time on Maui and you don’t have as much to go see and would rather relax most days…because it’s so hard to leave the property!

Chose the Pinnacle to celebrate our 20th anniversary (a year late due to COVID & the shutdown) and we couldn’t have been more pleased with this wonderful opportunity to stay here. There is a reason it’s called “The Pinnacle”—it doesn’t get any better! It’s the peak. The top. The best! We are just so thankful the owners are willing to share their spectacular home with us. It’s heaven on earth!

This property was exactly what I hoped it would be. It truly has a "million dollar" view and the pool/hot tub setup is just perfect. The house itself has the amentities you expect and it is truly quiet and private. Well worth the rental fee for a week in Maui. It is what you expect that it should be.

This was our second time renting Pinnacle Main, and we enjoyed it as much as we did last year. The place is incredibly clean and well kept. No equipment is missing in the kitchen, and everything is on tip top shape and excellent condition! We feel very privileged for having been guests in paradise for the second year in a row!

We stayed here April 7-14, 2018 with two teenage kids. The home is extremely well kept, clean and very well equipped. The view is most beautiful and just as advertised in the pictures. We loved hanging out on the patio and enjoying the pool and hot tub. A small grocery store is just a few minutes drive away, and if you are looking for a low-key, laid back vacation, this home is ideal! Keep in mind that the home is located on the North Shore, which means more rain and about a 45 - 60 min drive to the swimmable beaches and other attractions of the south shore. Although the home is huge and seems to be equipped to house at least 8, it really only sleeps 4. One of the bedrooms is not as attractive as the other two; if you are traveling with younger children it shouldn’t be a problem at all. Room assignments were a bit trickier with our teenage kids, as nobody wanted to take the third bedroom. If I had to suggest one improvement to the house, I’d upgrade this bedroom and bathroom a bit. However, once everybody had settled in, there was no more issue with this bedroom, and everybody had a very relaxing vacation at Pinnacle Main. We can’t wait to come back.

I wish I was back there!!! We had the best vacation and the Pinnacle Main was perfect. Loved, loved, loved the house and the views!!! The pool and hot tub were very nice, although we only used the hot tub once. We didn't do a whole lot of anything except relaxing, which was desperately needed. Thank you so much for everything. You were so wonderful to work with and we will use you again when we come back. Appreciate everything, especially the late checkout. So glad that worked out.

We really enjoyed the home. From the double gated entrance, to the circular driveway, to the incredible view from the infinity pool and hot tub. The house has been appointed to meet anyone's needs. We've stayed in a few luxury homes and this one definitely had the wow factor with that view. We lost count of how many rainbows we saw. The area is nice and quiet and we met the neighbour next door who grows tropical flowers and we said that she should put a flyer in the home and the cottage to let future guests know. Her tropical garden is right next door and is to die for. She sells every Saturday for $10 a bouquet. Haiku is a cute little town. We bought a few groceries at the grocery store there. We also went to Nuka and had a nice dinner there one night. We do recommend that you grocery shop in either Kahului or Paia. If you're looking for cheap sunscreen check out Target! Paia has an amazing grocery store Mana Foods and we wish we would have discovered this place earlier on our trip. We also enjoyed the store Pearl in Paia as well. Up Haleakala is an amazing little town called Makawao. Enjoyed a few stores there and artists galleries. Picked up some local art as well. We drove up to Kula and Haleakala. We usually stay in Wailea at the Andaz but we brought the Andaz to us in Haiku! It was nice to have the serenity peace and luxury all to ourselves. Can't wait until next time. Thanks for an amazing getaway.

Thank you so much for allowing us to experience the Pinnacle. It was by far one of the best houses we have stayed at on the islands. The pool was our favourite part and watching the early evenings sweep across the island. Breezes in the sugarcane fields. Just magical! I think our best area to visit was Paia, to have our morning latte and stroll through the shops. One of our best stays. Can’t say enough! We may be looking at the property again by years end i am sure. Will keep in touch. Mahalo
