Exceptional ocean views from this 9th floor Royal Kahana unit. This spacious one bedroom can accommodate 4 people with its sofa sleeper. The well-equipped full kitchen allows you to cook some of your own meals if you just want to stay in and relax. Admire sunsets, sailboats, whales, sea turtles, sunsets, and Molokai island views from this beautiful condo. Royal Kahana offers so may amenities to make amazing Maui memories.
The layout:
Bedroom: California king size bed, dresser, 2 nightstands with usb chargers, TV with cable, ceiling fan, and sliding lanai door access that leads to lanai. There is also a digital safe for your use.
Bathroom: accessible from bedroom or living room and features walk in shower, single sink vanity, fresh towels, and luxury organic bath products courtesy of Stay Aloha.
Common area: We have an open floor plan consisting of a fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 4 people, Smart TV with cable, pull out sofa sleeper, and sitting chairs. There is a closet with beach gear which consists of beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler only.
***Stay Aloha provides a generous essentials "starter" kit. We do not stock extra and supply more than most on island hosts. There is an Aloha welcome gift for you upon arrival as well***
We do have a $60 damage insurance fee that covers up to $1500 in damage, Accidents happen, we have you covered.
***There is construction going on at this resort for stucco repair on the building. It does not disrupt any of the amenities like pool, fitness center, lobby, elevators, etc.***
The Royal Kahana has a beachfront swimming pool, beachfront BBQ area, complete on-site fitness room, ping pong table, shuffleboard, and an onsite Activities Center/Concierge. Across the street is Kahana Gateway Center, a small shopping center with restaurants such as the Maui Brewing Company. McDonalds, Whaler's convenience store, a gas station, a coffee shop, souvenir shop, and ATMS are also located in the Center.
Parking:
The resort has implemented a parking fee that is payable upon check-in at the resort. This is the only interaction you'll have with the front desk.

Beach information
*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beach’s physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. Our HOA, The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential.
This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may not be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance. Photos taken on 1/16/2023 show useable beach, but this is not guaranteed.
PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS: Due to Maui’s rural location you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. The HOA schedules regular professional pest control services for pests such as ants, roaches, and rodents however they cannot be completely controlled in this part of the world.
Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents, and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment. A few things to know about this unit: It has a nice view of the ocean but not of the sunset. The patio furniture is at least 15+ years old and one chair is broken.
The utensils in the kitchen are cheap, knives are rusty with broken tips(couldn't cut a tomato). I do not think anyone has used or uses the kitchen while staying there. There is the bare minimum of plates, cups, etc..not well stocked, run dishwasher everyday.
Most every VRBO I've stayed in has condiments/sandwich bags/foil, basic kitchen supply's and most have sunscreen/lotion etc left by previous guests. Not this unit, everything is stripped and thrown away after each guest.
Check in is at 4:00pm, not a second sooner, even though cleaner was done at 2:00pm, we met her, we were not able to go in before 4:00pm. Any other VRBO are more than willing ot accomidate if available it seems.
Pool and BBQ area is very nice, great sunsets from down there. Also, there is no beach access from the property, just an fyi.

We had a great stay at Royal Kahana! The condo was exactly as described and was stocked with everything we needed for the week. We especially loved relaxing on the balcony and watching the waves, and we couldn't believe how many turtles we saw! We would absolutely stay here again our next time in Maui!

Everything about our stay was enjoyable. Wi-Fi login was problematic. We were given the incorrect information. The book in the room quickly solved that minor problem. We would recommend this property very much and would definitely stay again.
