Kihei Akahi is a great location across from a good swimming beach, grounds are kept spotless, pool, barbecue, tennis courts are great features. For the condo itself, it has everything you need for the beach (chairs, towels, snorkel gear, umbrellas, boogie boards) which is great not to have to rent or pack. The kitchen was well stocked, with both a nespresso machine and traditional drip coffee machine, cooler bags and ice packs for grocery trips, and all the required gear for cooking and/or eating in the unit. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the lanai, great view. AC in both living room and bedroom is a rare find and was a nice touch. Bed was comfortable and we were able to do laundry in the unit. We would stay here again, owner was very responsive and friendly, with a super easy check-in process.

Everything about this property and specifically this condo was truly awesome!!! The condo is beautiful, so clean and well stocked with everything you need during your stay. Amazing view of the ocean and the epic sunsets. Easy access to many beaches, equipment rentals, restaurants and shops.
The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained and the condo owner is very responsive and provided all information in a timely manner.

We enjoyed staying in this great little apartment for our Maui trip. The decor was Hawaiian, and so nice! It was clean, in the perfect location, had comfortable furnishings, safe and walkable to a wonderful beach, many shops and restaurants. It included beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, and had a wonderful ocean view. The pool and grounds were kept immaculate. Elevator and close reserved parking nearby. Communication with the host was great. We would definitely like to return to Maui and would choose to stay at this apartment again.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED this condo!!!!! We spent 12 nights there and weāre so very happy with our stay. The condo is STUNNING and just as perfect as the pictures. The location is absolutely incredible close to the beach (Great beach gear is provided). We loved how close the condo was to wonderful eateries. We canāt wait to go back and ABSOLUTELY want to return to the condo. James oversees the condo and is SO good at communicating and being available, heās super responsive via text, and details everything SO well. He was so kind allowing us a later check out time so my daughter could have one last surf day as we had a red eye fight. He is so kind and responsive. This is a place you DEFINITELY want to book if itās available!!!!!! This was such a wonderful place to stay, fantastic experience!!!!

The entire unit is stocked with everything that you could think of! What a great property with amazing views - centrally located in Kihei. Quiet and clean - the entire complex is so great and all of the people that we met were so nice! Thanks for an amazing time - we'll be back!

My wife & I had a very nice two week stay in your unit. The condo is extremely clean & well equipped. The king size bed was comfortable for both of us. The split A/C in both the MBDRM and living room was great! The view of the ocean and the evening sunsets from the lanai is serene. The beach right across the street only a few foot steps away is convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in the Kihei Akahi before and absolutely loved it. The place was exactly as pictured. Kitchen was well stocked and AC kept the place nice and cool. There was plenty of beach accessories including chairs, umbrella, etc. The place was very clean and decor has been nicely updated. The view of the sunset is also amazing! The Kihei Akahi building is well taken care of. The pools and BBQs are cleaned daily and the grounds are well maintained. It is located very conveniently across from a few amazing beaches as well as plenty of restaurants which you can walk to. It is also a very short drive to a couple awesome beaches in Wailea and MÄkena. Definitely recommend!

We spent most of the day out and about. It was nice to come home to a clean condo, with air con.
The appliances were awesome and there was a nice selection of kitchenware.
A few complaints:
The bedās mattress was too old and hard.
The couch and Chairs in the living room were not very comfortable.

This being our second time in Maui within two years, my husband and I had a very nice stay at this property.The condo is in a very central location to just about anywhere you would want to travel to, on the island.
The check-in process at the office was simple and the staff, very friendly and helpful.
James is awesome. He is very professional, and friendly. He answers messages very quickly and is very supportive of questions and / or concerns.
This property is extremely clean. The king size bed is impressive and was comfortable for me and my husband. As were the fully stocked amenities provided. The air conditioning in the bedroom, the living room, and even on the lanai were icing on the cake! This condo has been renovated to fit your 2023 expectations and is perfect for two! Or a family with a couple of small children.
The view of the ocean and the evening sunsets make it worth every cent. The morning view is serene, beautiful and all around peaceful with colors of the island staring back at you like a beautiful portrait or postcard.
The beach is right across the street only a few foot steps away. May be a three minute walk. And there are many restaurants and shops within a five minute minute walk.
My husband and I would definitely stay here again and will forever have the view from inside this gem, and the love of Maui, forever in our hearts.

The condo is centrally located in Kihei, within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Very convenient! The condo is clean and tidy. There are beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and beach towels for the beach days. We also enjoyed the sunset from the balcony. Communication with the host was perfect. We were very happy we found this place for our Maui trip!

First time to Kehei, we were West Maui fans (still areā¤ļøš). We loved the location right across from Kam II. Walk to beach is down hill so walk back is uphill, combined with sand and sun itās a bit less enjoyable but still very convenientš¤© Complex was very tidy, quiet and overall well maintained. The unit itself was just as pictured, but the view is waaaay better in person-really! Overlooks the upper pool, and out to the ocean. Well stocked kitchen. Bed, linens, towels and furniture were fine, nothing fancy but what youād expect. Side note I loved the pillow selection the bed is king sized and firm and stable. Husband likes a soft bed but I appreciated it. Ac unit in bedroom was wonderful as well as the one in the main living area. Beach gear we used was in perfect condition (2 backpack chairs, umbrella and boogie boards). Beach towels also provided and in-unit washer/dryer was super convenient! Would def stay here again, great value! Things to add for convenience: 1. a drop area or tray for things like phones, chap stick, keys, wrist bands sunglasses. 2. Wall hooks for hanging hats and beach wraps, and more sturdy ones for hanging toiletry bags. 3. A shot glass or two! Stayed in 2 condos this trip to Maui and neither place had one? Mahalo for sharing your home and mahalo to the manager!

I was a little hesitant to rent this condo as there were only 5 reviews at the time I was looking and they were all outstanding. Were they all from friends/family or were they legit reviews? I had a couple questions for James, the owner, and he promptly answered them. I was still unsure but my wife said to go ahead and book it and I'm glad I did. The pictures don't do the condo justice, it looks even better in person. I'm not going to describe the condo as everything in the condo description is spot on, James paints an accurate picture of his place. I guess the best descriptor is the condo does not look/feel like a rental, it's more like a home. The ac in the bedroom and living room cool it down quickly and aren't really necessary in the evening due to the trade winds. It's centrally located to Lahaina and Hana/Haleakala and roughly 25 minutes from the airport. I will definitely stay here the next time I come to visit family and highly recommend it if you're coming to Maui.

My dad & I had an amazing stay at this property. All we wanted was somewhere nice/comfortable to sleep & a location that was close to the beach, & this place went above & beyond! Itās walking distance to many beaches as well as restaurants/shops. The place itself was clean, spacious, & had an awesome view of the ocean. The host, James, responded to all our questions very quickly & was super accommodating! We were restricted with things we could bring on this trip but luckily this place had everything we needed (towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, body boards, etc.). If we go to Maui again this property will definitely be our go to!š

This is by far the best renovation I have seen at the Kihei Akahi. The condo was spotless, all supplies and beach gear included, and the king size bed very comfortable. With the windows open at both ends of the unit you get a nice breeze and the sun shade for the lanai is a plus on warm afternoons. You can walk across the street to a great beach where I saw two turtles within 20 minutes of my arrival. Good restaurants nearby along with an ABC store so last-minute needs can be met quickly. Owner was very responsive and great to work with. Bring earplugs in case the resident roosters are up early, otherwise the noise from the proximity to the elevator quiets way down after 10. We were not bothered by other guest's noise at all. One nice touch is the Amazon Echo Dot which we moved from room to room so we could listen to our own music easily. All in all, a great stay!

James the owner was very attentive.He made sure he followed up after we arrived, to make sure everything was good. The morning of check out, he texted us to wish us safe travels and to see if we needed anything. I informed him on how wonderful our stay was and that when we come back to Maui we definitely want to stay there!! Also the property managers and maintenance crew were really nice and helpful! We were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the condo, in the amenities and location. The condo is well stocked with kitchen supplies and has nice towels and nice furniture. It is easy to walk across the street to a wonderful beach and walk on foot to great restaurants and breakfast places from the condo. James is a great host and he will always answer your text messages and phone calls to make sure everything is great. Nice kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc and we loved the view!!! Excellent place to stay.

My husband and I just had an amazing week in Maui and this condo was a clean, comfortable, well-equipped home base with thoughtful extras, a convenient parking spot, and gorgeous views morning, noon and night! The lanai has a panoramic view of the sky, ocean (we spotted a couple whales spouting at a distance and used the binoculars for a better view), palm trees, flowers, birds, and well-maintained pool/BBQ area. A few steps from the entrance, overlooking the parking lot, there's an amazing view of Haleakala (especially morning sunrises). There's no air conditioning in this unit, but ceiling fans and a constant cross-breeze through screened louver windows and lockable screen doors kept us at a comfortable temperature.
This condo is also conveniently located within walking distance of great Kihei beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and easy driving distance to explore the rest of Maui. James, thanks for being such a responsive host and for sharing your beautiful place with us!

I booked this place before there were any reviews and am I ever glad I did. The location is amazing, walking distance to tons of beaches and restaurants. The view from the lanai is outstanding and a perfect place for morning coffee and watching the sunset. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The condo has been recently updated with a modern feel and awesome art work on the wall. Great to have a parking spot, barbecue and pool available as well as a tennis/pickleball court! The gardens are beautifully kept and have such an amazing assortment of plants. We loved this place and canāt wait to go back!

My family and I stayed at this condo for the first part of our vacation in Maui. We had an amazing time! The condo has an incredible view of the ocean, we watched the sunset from the balcony every night. It is clean, well stocked, comfortable, and very modern. The property is also very well maintained and beautiful. We really enjoyed the gardens and the pool! I was a little hesitant to book this place because it didnāt have any reviews, but it was even better than we expected. Thank you, James for a wonderful stay! We hope to return again soon!

Was able to book this unit on fairly short notice. The location was perfect as we were close to beaches, good quality restaurants and grocery stores. All within walking distance. Nice view of the courtyard and pool as well as being able to keep an eye on the whales which were very active on our stay. Condo was equipped with everything we needed along with a couple of beach chairs and an umbrella which got used every day we were there. Was really nice having a designated parking spot to come back to after a full and busy day!! Will defiantly look at staying again when we return. Thank you James for making communication easy along with everything else!!!

All the comforts you need in one newly renovated (except bath which I was advised is coming in April) condo! Way more space than I needed. Could sleep 4 very comfortably. The full kitchen has every tool and dish needed to prepare meals, if that's what you choose..otherwise, within walking distance to good food (shameless plug for Kinaole food truck and 808 Deli), redline rafting is nearby for your adventurous spirit and the beach is just a mere 3 min trot down the road. Don't miss out on this comfy, ocean facing property!
