The location is great! Unfortunately, after traveling for 48 hours the unit was not cooled but rather all the shades were open and all the windows closed. About 95 or 100 degrees inside. This was disappointing. One of the reasons we rented a one bedroom unit was to be able to close the door of the bedroom which can not done as the window air conditioner is only in the living area. We had to use the standing fan to get the ac into the bedroom. The mirrored wall makes the online photos look VERY spacious. The unit is compact! The unit was not newly renovated. The bathroom was clean but the floors and hid a bed were sandy
All in all we managed okay. After asking for pillow cases, we just borrowed some from family. .

This is a great spot, and the view was amazing.
It was pretty clean. Like most, the floors will make your feet black. But clean sheets, bathroom was good, kitchen, good.
Don’t shop for groceries at Walmart like we did. It was a madhouse. Go to the Waikiki Market down the street… excellent. Had everything and more.

The view from this place is fantastic!! The pictures do not do it justice. Great location. You can easily walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. There is a large lanai that has plenty of seating and tables to eat your meals and look at the views. We had three adults and two teenagers in our family and it was a little tight, but the view and the large lanai make up for it. We would definitely recommend this place!

Amazing view of ocean from apartment.
Very central location to beach and both ends of Waikiki. Food trucks are excellent next to hotel. This made it a great location to stay and explore Waikiki.
May be just an overlook this time, but cleanliness down a bit, dirty linen still on fold up sofa bed, bin not emptied and freezer not cleaned.
Very tall building so we were swaying and a couple of us felt a bit motion sick.

We had some major hiccups with cleanliness but have addressed it with the property manager, Mark. He was always open and helpful. He asked if we wanted someone to come, we declined as we were there just 3 nights. It was truly disappointing as the unit itself is cozy with good furnishings and at a good location.
What makes this unit so special is the view, even better than what we have had in the past at Cleghorn Street.
The downstairs check-in was easy as was using the parking in the building. The front desk staff, which have nothing to do with the unit except check-in and parking, were very friendly and offered even a wine opener when we could not find one in the apartment.
If they could get the cleaning in order, we would be more than happy to stay once again in this unit. Just a recommendation: when an apartment is tiny, then it needs shelves to put your stuff on (e.g, bathroom, maybe something above the toilet) and lights in the kitchen ... just to mention a few aspects.
One could make a true jewel out of this place .... and sorry for being straight forward. Eventually, the owner should spend some time himself in the unit, as an anonymous guest ...

Really loved this place. The views are amazing to wake up to. The location was walking distance to most things we wanted to do! We even discovered a little bar two blocks away that we loved - Wang Chungs. The rooftop pool is awesome and spacious. Would highly recommend.

I am always looking for a place with a view when we travel and this unit's view was even better than represented in the photos. The unit was just as described and was so close to the beach. Having access to the pool and hot tub on the roof and on site (paid) parking was an added bonus. We highly recommend.

The Pacific Monarch was a great place to stay! The check in and out was super easy and stress free, and the VIEW! the view in the listing, is the actual view you get from the unit! The photos are very accurate, and it was just the right size for our family of 5. The hosts were very communicative, easy to reach, and nice! The rooftop pool is an awesome way to chill after a long day around Oahu, and the view from there is spectacular as well! I will definitely look up Mark and David for my next stay on Oahu!
