The layout:

Bedroom: Ocean view room with California King size bed, dresser, 2 nightstands with usb chargers, TV with cable, ceiling fan, and sliding lanai door access that leads to lanai. There is also a digital safe for your use.

Bathroom: accessible from bedroom or living room and features walk in shower, single sink vanity, fresh towels, and luxury organic bath products courtesy of Stay Aloha.

Common area: Ocean view open floor plan consisting of a remodeled kitchen with stainless appliances, dining table for 4 people, Smart TV with cable, pull out queen sofa sleeper, and sitting chairs. There is a closet with beach gear which consists of beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler.


***Stay Aloha provides a generous essential "starter" kit and we do not restock essentials. We supply more than most hosts on the island. There is an Aloha welcome gift for you upon arrival as well***

We do have a $60 Damage Insurance Fee that covers up to $1500 in damage for our guests. Accidents happen and we have you covered.

***There is construction going on at this resort for stucco repair on the building. It does not disrupt any of the amenities like pool, fitness center, lobby, elevators, etc.***

The Royal Kahana has a beachfront swimming pool, beachfront BBQ area, complete on-site fitness room, ping pong table, shuffleboard, and an onsite Activities Center/Concierge. Across the street is Kahana Gateway Center, a small shopping center with restaurants such as the Maui Brewing Company. McDonalds, Whaler's convenience store, a gas station, a coffee shop, souvenir shop, and ATMS are also located in the Center.

The resort has implemented a parking fee that is payable upon check-in at the resort. The fee is as follows:

Beach information

*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beach’s physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. Our HOA, The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential.

This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may not be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance. Photos taken on 1/16/2023 show useable beach, but this is not guaranteed.

PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS: Due to Maui’s rural location you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. The HOA schedules regular professional pest control services for pests such as ants, roaches, and rodents however they cannot be completely controlled in this part of the world.

Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents, and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Very nice, clean, fully equiped apt. Excellent Pacific Ocean, Mountain view. Very good location in a nice neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants, stores, bus stop and beach. Loved it. Thank you for hosteing us.

This unit was everything they said it was! Everything worked as it should and was in good condition. Communication with managers was always timely and well explained. Cost was higher than we had ever paid but at least it was in good clean condition.

We stayed at this property for 6 nights & wow! The ocean was so close & very easy to hear, no matter what time of the day it was. Very nice pool & pool chairs were abundant. The king bed was comfortable. Easy access to a grocery store that has everything (2 miles away). Coffee shops fairly close by; plus a McDonald's too. Of course, don't forget to explore Maui!

Had a wonderful stay in Kahana!!! You couldn’t ask for a better view! The unit had everything we needed for our time there. The pool was the perfect temperature and the barbques were so clean. It is a very well maintained building. The owners were very responsive ( within minutes).if we had any issue. We were very happy we chose this unit for our vacation and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or re book it!

We loved the property. The sunset view and moon light on the ocean is remarkable. The apartment is clean and very functional. The size is very comfortable. We had the best memory of Maui during our stay. We will come back again!

Great place, right on a good beach, very nice swimming pool, and outdoor grills to cook outside. It is not a large resort with all the extra frills, but it is in close proximity to other resorts and to more great beaches on the NW side of Maui for snorkling and diving. The beach in front of the property was in very good shape and it is accessible in spite of the signs that say to the contrary. The apartment is very clean and great for a couple. There is a closet full of snorkling and beach equipment. Everything was here that we needed.
