This unit was perfect for a couple's getaway to Maui. The view from the unit is gorgeous, location is right next to Whaler's Village and many shops/restaurants, and the beach and pool are both easily accessible. There is no washer/dryer in the unit but there is a free washer/dryer in the common area just outside the door which is easy to use and close. Tennis and pickleball courts were easy to reserve, the communal BBQ is right at the bottom of the elevator, and the staff was all friendly. We will definitely look to stay here again!

Love the convenience of this property. The pool & ocean are steps were steps away from our condo. Lots of shade around the pool and free chairs to enjoy at the ocean. I loved being so close to all the restaurants in Whalers village T night and being able to enjoy breakfast & lunch on the scenic lanai of our condo! The grounds are beautiful and tranquil. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Can’t wait to go back again next year.

If you've stayed at the Whaler before, you know that most of the units are pretty much the same layout, IE studio or one bedroom style. This unit is in better condition than most, and very clean with a great view of both the ocean and the mountains. It was very quiet as well. The unit came well stocked with most things compared to other VRBOs I've used. Of course, the location of the resort is great! I would say, however, that the shining star of this property is the owners. Our trip had been booked prior to the Lahaina fire and not only did the owner communicate what was happening with the unit, but with the entire area as a whole. I felt well informed and that I would not have any issues with my booking. I would not hesitate to stay at their properties again in the future and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks for the great stay!

The studio was perfect, we love the whaler and it was perfect for this trip, we vacationed with our whole family this time. Very well stocked kitchen and that made it nice for when we wanted to bbq. Also a nice, clean room, but the bed mattress was hard and is not comfortable.Thank you for letting us stay at your place. Hope to be back soon!! Mahalo

This is a great location for our stay for Ka’anapali golf! Everything is in walking distance that we needed even though we went each day to explore the island. The ease of the beach, pool and restaurants make this ideal for families! Doug is an exceptional host, you will want to stay here!

Everything about the Whaler was lovely as usual with one caveat. The pool was closed for half of our stay for cleaning of the pool deck. It clearly needed it but we were not informed of this prior to coming.

We had a fantastic stay at this condo. Everything was exactly as we had hoped for. The view is incredible and the location is perfect. Loved being on the 10th floor away from the people. All you need to bring here is sunscreen! The owner has it all set up so you can just come and relax. Highly recommend!!

We loved our stay in June at the condo! It was nicely decorated, had a great kitchen, comfortable bed, and an outstanding view. The grounds at The Whaler are beautiful, and the beach is fantastic. It was so peaceful sitting on the lanai, listening to the sounds of the fountains in the ponds and the waves crashing on the beach, as well as enjoying the view with the sailboats anchored off shore. The location is perfect as you have everything you need along the beach walk including shopping at Whalers Village and snorkeling at Black Rock! We definitely plan on staying here again.

I almost don’t want to share good info about the Whaler because it’s getting harder to book. Location is perfect. Views are amazing. Room was well done and very comfortable. Closet was FULL of chairs, noodles, boogie boards, mattress pads, cooler, and blankets-so everything extra you could want.

My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing Maui visit in the lovely studio apartment of Doug and Cessna. We have visited Maui several times and always stayed in a hotel. For the past 6 years or so we have enjoyed renting through VRBO wherever we go and wanted to see what Maui could offer. After doing our due diligence, we selected Doug and Cessna’s place. While we loved everything we read and saw, we were a bit concerned about the size of the property and being in a high rise. A few minutes inside and our worries disappeared.. The balcony was a perfect place to spend time with a fabulous view of the ocean and enjoying the sound of the waves. In the evening you can catch unprecedented sunsets. The apartment is efficiently designed with all the modern conveniences you could want.
You could walk either direction from your “home” and find excellent restaurants. Downtown is fun and vibrant and only a short drive away. But you will not need to worry because Doug and Cessna will leave you complete and thorough instructions on anything you care to ask. And if you think of something, just reach out to them and they will respond immediately. I’ve still not completely recovered from the trip and I am ready to go back. You will be happy you chose to stay here. Oh, P.S. I always want to know about the comfort of the beds! It was wonderful!! L & L from Austin

The condo was as advertised. Absolutely beautiful views of the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other side. We saw a lot of whales right from the balcony. Right next door to shopping and restaurants! Thanks Doug for the awesome condo.

We have been coming to the Whaler properties for 30 years. Have stayed else where on Maui as well but not as well situated as this little location. Never been disappointed. This studio was very nice, updated and nicely appointed. It had one beach chair that was nice the other was old , rusty and small. It would have been nice to have a beach umbrella as well.
To rent these items on site was 90 a day. For the room costing 600 + dollars a day with VRBO charges, taxes and resort fees, Nice chairs and umbrella should be included in the room. Other than that we throughly enjoyed our stayed.

Doug and Cessna provided a unit that exceeded our expectations. Unit was spotless and is the perfect location for all your beach, pool and restaurant needs. View of Lanai with sunsets was exactly what we expected. Condo grounds and pool area was spectacular in view and cleanliness. Less than 5 minute walk to Whalers Village to find any and all amenities couldn’t have been more convenient. Fitness facility was very clean and provided great equipment versatility for our daily workouts. Would definitely recommend this unit and look forward to out next visit.

Of course, the location is amazing and convenient to Whalers Village. The overall property is extremely well run. We were afraid the pool would be too small to be comfortable but it was great! The individual unit was awesome. Updated, clean, lots of beach toys. Great view from balcony.
