as always WBH is a great vacation spot - ocean front, big pool, not in crowded tourist are, small complex. Specific unit (#119) had some issues with cleanliness,and vey poor landscaping beside the lanai.

This unit had pretty much everything we needed for our stay, and is in an awesome location for exploring Maui. Beach walking and finding turtles on the beach (we counted 29 one evening!), was a daily routine. The unit was clean and comfortable - ground floor allows quick and easy access to the facilities and beach. It does however need some updating! Cups, glasses, dinnerware and cutlery was a mishmash of all types and styles. Furniture is showing its age. Not a show stopper, but would be nice to see an upgrade.

This is our third or fourth stay with Rentals Maui as the accommodation provider. They have always had the rooms very clean, and have responded to any requests we have made quickly. There seems to always be someone nice on their phones. We'll be back next year!

My 4 kids and their families attended a reunion on Maui this past summer. We had a great time enjoying everyone's company. We snorkeled, swam in the ocean and pool, barbequed next to the pool, attended a magic show and in general just had a blast.

The complex is amazing. Great location with a wonderful pool and bbq area. The garden is spectacular with the beach just steps away. Our children loved it.Our condo unfortunately had an odor and a maggot infestation. Management worked to resolve the problem and it was a challenge.Despite this hiccup we would return. This place is a gem.

The condo was clean and had everything we needed to make meals. They had beach chairs and towels for use. The location was great! Very close to everything we wanted to do and things that were 30mins out had a beautiful drive!

This unit needs some upgrades. The lighting is bad, the fans are cheap and noisy. The AC units work well. I like the pool. It’s in the quieter side of Kihei but there are homeless people hanging around to get free meals at the church.

It doesn't seem like the condo has been updated in a long time, curtains had holes in it and the lounge chair was dusty and disgusting.
After we requested they replaced the lounge chair with a new one.
Other than that it's a great location, right on the beach. Kitchen and living room area is good. The place is well stocked beach essentials like beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas etc.

Wonderful, outstanding place to stay. Rentals Maui is easy to work with and answered all our questions. Location is great easy access to beach. Pool area and grilling area a plus. Supplies provided should be adjusted to length of stay we ended up leaving extra toilet paper not sure if it’s saved for next rental or thrown away and that would be a waste.

Wonderful property, central to food and shopping areas. Condo was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed watching the sunset from the beach that was just a walk away. My child had a great time playing in the pool and I enjoyed sitting out in the patio, surrounded by beautiful plants. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

This was our second stay at the same location, everything was perfect, great kitchen,we loved our vacation there and would recommend it to friends and family.The only thing I would recommend is an update on the curtains, in the bedroom they have holes and are dirty.Beside that, great place!!

Waiohuli Beach Hale is a great complex - terrific location, splendid grounds, ocean front and a fantastic pool. However the quality of the individual units varies good to not so good. For example unit 119 had 2 unmatched wine glasses, 5 bbq tongs but no kitchen tongs, a bbq spatula but no kitchen spatula, a cheap,old toaster, no telephone, shower/tub combo that needs replacement, bathroom cabinets showing wear; much cupboard space taken with old unused appliances e.g. old electric can opener, front door outside light not working (Rentals Maui advised but not fixed by the time we left. Good AC in bedroom and living room. New sofa and chair good; new bed good. (note: had stayed in this unit a few years ago; it is somewhat better now.) Highly recommend Waiohuli Beach Hale complex but be careful what unit you get (units 111, 117 and 118 are 3 that we know specifically as "Excellent".The questions below should differentiate between the complex overall and the individual unit.

Had a wonderful time with family with many good things to say about the rental. Only things we were disappointed with was the beach itself having lots of rocks (making it extremely difficult to get in the water without water shoes), and location made the winds kick up lots of sand during the days. The sand storms were very strong and caused everyone to be uncomfortable while on the beach. Water was also murky and not the pretty “Hawaiian postcard” water you typically see throughout Hawaii. The rental had a good amount of space for our family of 4, had all the kitchen supplies we needed, a wonderful lanai to enjoy mornings on, and a great outdoor bbq area. I know it is not the responsibility of the rental property, but it would have been nice if kids beach toys, functioning boogie boards, and more beach towels were provided. Just a recommendation ;)

I was not impressed with my unit at all furniture was very outdated we had one of the kitchen table chairs break on my husband while we were eating breakfast, thank god he had just sat his coffee down. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, to the point we went out and bought a foam pad just so we could sleep at night (which we did not leave we left with a local family member). It seem to me that this is a investment property only, owner doesn’t seem worried about the upkeep of the unit as long as it’s pulling in money. Which is unfortunate for whoever stays in this unit. Although I was not happy with the unit, the location was perfect. The pool being right out front was nice, and the beach just being steps away located really close to town, walking distance from coffee shops and the grocery store. I definitely would not recommend this place for kids, I felt that I was constantly redirecting my kids because the complex is full of a lot of older people that constantly complained if the kids were out front playing, be sure to look over all the complex rules, kid really have no option but to sit and be quite so they are not disturbing other residents. I would not recommend this complex to family with children, definitely not recommend unit D119 unless u like to feel springs in ur back both on pullout and master bed, it was so uncomfortable.

Our condo was amply supplied with most of the typical beach necessities including coolers, ice packs, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. Ample beach and bath and kitchen towels. Beautiful location, the grounds were picturesque, the beach view was fabulous. Our condo felt a little small for four, the couch bed not adequately padded. We wound up buying a topper.
Previous residents left seasonings and other kitchen basics and there was an abundance of left over products in the bathroom too. This area is quiet, serene and very relaxing. It was a great experience in Maui.

Rentals Maui worked with us in 2020, and again in 2021, scheduling and rescheduling our condos with efficiency. We enjoyed our family reunion with 11 other condos being rented from Rentals Maui for our family. The units were clean and well maintained. The location to the beach and the clean pool were perfect for our group. The BBQ area and tables were a big plus. Photos and property descriptions were accurate.

Loved the unit; loved the site and setting; loved the location. We love Kihei, but it can be difficult to find a quiet spot on the beach side of the road. The pools is work-out length which is really nice. We are definitely coming back here. The place had all the beach stuff you could want, but I would suggest an upgrade to the furnishings. A lot just seems tired such as thread bare sheets, dangerously dull knives, edge-worn couch cushions, etc. There was a beach umbrella pole but no umbrella ... odd. All that aside, if this was the only unit available at this site, I would still rent it for a week. Great free parking too.

Our stay at this property was great. Awesome location including being only steps from the beach. Very nice BBQ area and swimming pool. The condo itself was also very nice. Never had any pests bothering us and was fairly quiet. The only issue we had was not enough kitchen towels and not the most comfortable bed and pillows. But even with those issues we would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

Points to make, location to beach wonderful, floors where dirty. The air condition is NOT adequate for the main living area, the screen door did not work, the master bedroom bed needs to be replaced. The air condition in the master worked great. The kitchen remodel was fabulous. It was nice to have the swimming noodle, the ice chest and chairs. Walking distance to a grocery store really helped. We will be back.

We have been to WBH 4 times, 3 times in D-119. After this last say, we will pick a different unit. It's very outdated and dirty. The furniture is old and packed with dirt/dust, the carpet makes your socks brown and the kitchen is old and lacking. Looking at some of the other units in the complex this time we decided to go to a better unit next time we visit. Also, this year they were doing construction in the unit next door. 8 out of our 9 days there were overwhelmed by the sounds of tile saws and dust. Our email to the rental people went unanswered. I would suggest checking with Kathy about construction prior to booking.

1. UNIT #119 REQUIRES UP DATING, THE KITCHEN IS OUT DATED. 2. THE UNITED IS USING A POTABLE DISH WASHER THAT HAD ONE WHEEL MISSING. 3. MOST OF THE KITCHEN DISH WEAR HAD TO BE WASHED BEFORE IT COULD BE USED. 4. THE MAIN TV SET HAD POOR COLOR AND A THE PICTURES HORIZONTAL HOLD HAD PROBLEMS. 5. THE PATIO DOOR WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SHUT AND COULD NOT BE LOCKED USING THE KEY. 6. WE HAVE STAYED AT THE COMPLEX FOR THE LAST FOUR YEARS IN THREE OTHER UNITS. WE LIKE THE COMPLEX AND WOULD STAY AGAIN. BUT WILL NOT STAY IN UNIT #119

This is a nice, quiet resort in a good quiet location set back from the main road. Large pool and onsite barbecues are great. Beach in front of property is good for walking, but not as swimmable as the main beaches, which are a short drive away. The carpets were worn, the sofabed mattress smelled, and the bed linens were stained. The portable dishwasher works well, but is missing a wheel. Kitchen cupboards are old and smell quite bad inside. Nice that air conditioners were in both the bedroom and main living area. Would happily stay in this resort again, but in one of the recently updated units...not this one.
