Every morning was a burst of excitement for the day as we drank our coffee on the balcony soaking up the most beautiful sunrises breaking through the clouds alongside Mauna Kea overlooking the beautiful green golf course. This condo is equipped with all the amenities of being home and on vacation, so much we didn't want to leave. There was plenty of room for my 2 older children, husband and parents. Geoffrey has put a lot of thought into the decorating of the condo to make it feel like paradise. It embodies all things Hawaiian, from the paintings, furnishings, right down to the bedspreads. Thank you for opening your condo to enjoy our vacation! Location: 10 min walk or 3 min drive to the beach. There you can rent a paddleboard or jump on a glassbottom tour or just enjoy the beautiful serene beach (or even sunsets). Plenty of sea life, we saw a manta ray swim by, fish and a turtle relaxing on the sand. Also a 5 min walk from the condo is amazing shaved ice, delicious coffee shops (even a Starbucks, but Island Vintage Coffee was delicious) and acai bowls, as well as a general market for immediate needs. A 25 min drive into Kona you have costco, walmart, target, all the big names. A 10 min drive toward Waikoloa Village toward 49 Black Sand Beach, you'll find Manuelas Malasadas (some of the best we had!) A short drive to Mountain Thunder Coffee in what is considered Cloud Forest. Overall, if we ever revisit Big aisland, this place would be our pick time and time again! Mah

This property was absolutely perfect for us! The access to fun shops and tasty dining was fantastic. It was all close enough that we could send our older kids over to the markets on their own, which they loved. The property is close to many incredible beaches, which we can never get enough of! The property owner was very kind and super easy to work with. I would book this place again in a heartbeat.

Apartment was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Location was very close to markets and beach. The patio had great views of mauna kea in the morning, and if you get lucky on a clear night you can see a good bit of stars. One note was that the wifi was spotty which made it difficult to work, but otherwise we had a fantastic stay.

Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and beach. Loved being entertained watching the golfers from the lanai. Kitchen has all appliances and tools needed for meal and drink prep. Used the air conditioning the first evening just to get the condo cooled off, but the breezes were perfect the rest of the time.

If you chose to rent this property, I’d recommend documenting some video and photo evidence of the place at check in. We had a nice stay but after we got home we were charged hundreds of dollars for a damaged cooktop. We used the cooktop one time to warm up frozen vegetables. The irony of the situation was that because of flight delays and rescheduling, we were actually only in the unit 4 out of the 7 days we had it rented. When you add in the charges after we got home, it ended up being a VERY expensive 4 day stay. We had no recourse other than to pay the charge because we had nothing to prove we didn’t cause the damage. Fairway Villas is lovely and we’ve rented atleast 5-6 units here over the years and will be back in the future. We will chose another option next time.

Nice condo in prime location with a beautiful view of golf course and mountains. Needs some minor repairs which didn't affect our stay at all. Gym and pool were great, and walking distance to shops, groceries and restaurants was a plus!

On arrival, we discovered the AC was set at 88 degrees with window blinds left open. Outside temperature was about 90 degrees. Condo felt like a sweat lodge and was not fit for habitation. We didn’t know how to adjust the temperature setting on the AC. It was a Nest thermostat we knew the owner could control remotely. I called the owner and left an urgent message. I also called the VRBO help desk. They tried but could not help. They left messages for the owner via text and phone. 3 hours later, I received a cryptic text from the owner. I called the owner who complained he had multiple messages from VRBO. He had not listened to my voicemail. I explained the situation. The owner did not express concern or regret. He was concerned with how expensive his electric bills were and the difficulty of managing a vacation rental. He was not responsible for setting the thermostat or for his cleaning crew’s actions! He did not feel it necessary to check the AC setting before a new guest arrived. There was no concern for our comfort. The owner was condescending, patronizing and insulting. Eventually, I told him he was not helpful and hung up. Through trial and error, I changed the temperature setting. After reducing it to 74 degrees it took 10 hours to cool down. Our first day and night were a dreadful experience. The owner doesn’t understand property management or customer service. If VRBO continues this property listing, they should require local property management by professionals.

Property was great. Suggest yo put condo number in welcome documents. It only has parking space number which is 37 and that is not unit number of 33. I had to ask neighbor for help.

Thanks! The beach supplies were on point, cooler was well needed. The home is clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen was stocked with seasoning and well equipped with kitchen supplies although I didn’t get to use the kitchen much this trip. Queens market was walking distance, we survived on cheap delicious spamsubi’s 🍣. If I stay on this side of the island I recommend this home.

We enjoyed our stay and had a great time on the Big Island. It's a nice area and the condo is well equipped. We had some issues with the A/C as it seemed to have a mind of it's own (Nest). The TV operation is somewhat confusing as well. The owner was very responsive to questions.

We had a large group stay here and it worked out great, especially with the extra space in the loft. Location was excellent and we regularly walked to beach and nearby shops/restaurants. Boogie boards, cooler and chairs for beach were great, though we would have appreciated some snorkel masks. Had a couple minor maintenance issues during our stay, but owner was very responsive in getting them resolved. Shower in main bathroom suite is tiny - some other units in Fairway Villas have been renovated with bigger showers that would have been nice. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this place and happily come back.

The townhouse was very well equipped, everything we needed for a day at the beach to doing laundry. The host provided a comprehensive binder with information on the condo and nearby area that was very helpful. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped with extra items such as spices, oils, and rice, that we didn’t have to buy and use only once or twice. The condo was walking distance to the nearby A-bay beach and King’s and Queen’s shopping areas and had a beautiful infinity pool and hot tub for use from 9am-9pm. I would stay here again if we ever came back to the Big Island. The only issue we had was that the AC wasn’t working when we arrived (husband reset breaker and it started working again), and for 3 of our 7 mornings, we could hear the golf course maintenance in the early morning.

The condo was well suited for our party of 6. Plenty of beach supplies in the condo. The views were peaceful. Short drive to our favorite big island beach, hapuna beach! Condo was very clean. We went in June and did not need ac. The breezes coming through the condo were delightful! I have already recommended the condo to a friend visiting the big island next year. Would definitely without a doubt stay here again.

April 2022
We really enjoyed our stay. The property manager (owner) was very accessible to help address things that came up while we were at their place. The location is superb. The petroglyph fields right out the door were an awesome place to walk with my young son each morning.

April 2022
We travelled as a group of 4, had a wonderful time exploring the big island. The condo was comfortable and spacious and we spent a ton of time On the lanai that faced the golf course and had a great breeze. The infinity pool and hot tub/bbq area was an added bonus. The only downside was there was only 1 bed for couples. The other downstairs bedroom should have a queen for a second set of couples. Other than that it was an excellent location. We had a wonderful experience.

Great condo on the golf course, with amazing Kohala and Mauna Kea views. The complex is conveniently located within short walking distance of shopping, dining and a great beach. Amenities include a pool, BBQ area and a well equipped indoor/outdoor fitness center. Had zero issues during my stay, would definitely come again!

We were marooned on the Island (thanks winter storms in PNW, airline Staffing shortages and Alaska Airlines for cancelling soooo many flights to and from Hawaii and Alaska...) so we booked this condo very last minute. We have stayed in the Waikoloa Beach area many times but never this particular community. It was great and would stay again. Loved the heated pool and the golf course view from the lanai!

It was very clean and comfortable. It was great to have beach gear like boogie boards, towels, and chairs to use. The pool at the condo was clean and nice as well. It was a quick walk to shops and dining and a good location on the island to drive to Kailua-Kona, Waimea, and Hilo. We hope to stay here again.

January 2017
Loved the Fairway Villas property; two bedrooms plus the loft suited our group very well. Could use a few technological upgrades - faster modem, for example - but I'm being first world fussy. Excellent location, and I would definitely stay at the unit again.

January 2017
We found this condo lovely, spacious and clean. Well stocked with beach gear including snorkelling equipment. Great lanai overlooking the golf course and mountains. Spent many mornings having coffee and enjoying the views. Comfortable beds with nice bedding. Enjoyed having wood floors. Very convenient location. Can walk to the shopping centres and a short walk (15 minutes) to Lava Lava Beach Club or Marriott Hotel for happy hour. We attended many happy hours right on the beach (Lava Lava) enjoying the sunsets or at the Marriott and it was nice to have a short walk back to the condo. I would highly recommend staying at this condo.

There is so much to love about this property. The decor strikes just the right balance of attractive and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked, both with need-to-have and nice-to-have items. Bed linens, towels, and household supplies are plentiful and good quality. Beach chairs, beach/pool toys, boogie boards, and coolers are generously provided, as well. The hosts have taken care to give good and helpful information in their intro packet: info specific to the condo, things to do, and emergency instructions. But...future guests should be informed of some potential issues. Firstly, like me, you might assume that "air-conditioned" implies that you will be able to operate the AC at a level that is comfortable for you, as has been the case at every vacation rental I've ever stayed in. You would be mistaken. In the instructions, which you won't see until you have remitted final payment, you'll find what appears to be a mere request: "Please do not run the thermostat below 76 degrees." However, you may find, as we did, that your use of the AC to your reasonable level of comfort will result in the owner PIN-locking the thermostat. I was eventually able to persuade the owner to unlock the thermostat, due to very real health issues that preclude my becoming overheated, but it took hours for him to respond to my request, and he then intimated he should have been privy to my personal health details. Secondly, upon our arrival, we found sandy floors, dirty/greasy silverware in its drawer, hair and grime in the master tub, and grime in the corners of both bathrooms. The dryer filter was full of sand, and the drum of the dryer had quite a bit of sand in the bottom, as well. It rankles a bit to have to clean a property upon arrival when you've prepaid a large fee for the place to be cleaned when you leave. I did feel sympathy for the owner, who can't always be on site to check on the cleaning service, but some accountability is needed in that regard. In summary, if you don't mind relinquishing control of the temperature in the condo, and if you're okay with doing some essential cleaning tasks when you arrive (while being charged a hefty cleaning fee upon your departure), you'll be reasonably satisfied with this rental. Its annoyances will certainly not ruin the fantastic experience of the beautiful Big Island for you, but you may find yourself wishing that what was likely the largest expense of your vacation had not included so many inherent vexations.

Excellent place to stay! Well appointed design and layout of unit, nicely furnished and well stocked kitchen! Best beaches on island with great shops and restaurants !

September 2016
The Collin's condo offers a nicely furnished and plentifully stocked kitchen, and linen and beach paraphenalia closets. The unit is on the kohala coast which has great, sandy beaches without the crowded feeling of the Kona area fifteen miles to the south. Its location is also right off the entrance to the Rte. 19 ring road. The best "sightseeing and "cultural" stops are on the wetter east coast which is reachable within under or just over an hour; that includes Hawi to the north east Honokaa on the northeast coast, and the fantastic throwback city, Hilo. Around the later are the Botanical Gardens, Pee'pee Falls, the Liiuokolani Gardens and some small museums. The ring road south takes you to the Painted church and the Place of Refuge within the same time frame. The longest but most rewarding trip is of courser to the Wailea crater---just under 2 hours. The restaurant food in the immediate area was okay but overpriced. My favorites by far were three spots outside the Waikoloa complex: the Seafood Restaurant and Bar on the main street (Rte 270) of Kawaihae - 20 minutes north; Young's Korean Restaurant in the Waimea Plaza, it looks like a small cafeteria from the window, and: Kuhio's Grille (Hawaiian) in the Kuhio Plaza off Rte 11 just outside Hilo. A real supermarket treat is the takeout "poke' from the takeout/deli counter; my favorite Was the KTA market in Waimea (25 minutes0 away on Rte 19.

August 2016
We stayed in this beautiful condo for a week . Had a minor issue with a burnt out light in the bathroom that Geoff arranged to be fixed right away. Location was fabulous. Condo was very clean and nicely furnished. Beds were very comfortable (extremely important). This was our first time renting a condo through VRBO. If every condo rental is half as awesome and accommodating as this one was, we will never go back to a hotel! Great instructions and recommendations for things to do and see. Loved it and would love to go back!

Our stay was wonderful - owners were attentive and helpful and the condo was great! It is a wonderful and quiet unit - very clean, comfortable beds and lovely new flooring. The loft is a great feature for kids. The complex is in a perfect location close to great beaches, restaurants and shopping. It is landscaped beautifully and the views are lovely. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to return in the near future.

Firstly thanks to Geoff and Jen for the accommodations and for being readily available by phone or email. They resolved all concerns and answered all our questions. This condo is in a great location, a quiet complex with a lovely infinity pool and great BBQ facilities. Our lanai overlooked the golf course-we enjoyed breakfast there each morning. The condo is spacious, clean and very well maintained. Also available for the beach were towels, beach chairs, boogie boards etc. The condo has available internet, a very well stocked and beautiful kitchen, and a real island feel. We loved it!!

January 2015
First off just wanted to say thanks to Geoff for being so accommodating. He went out of his way to help us find a good deal on a rental car as well as tried to help us find a room for one night elsewhere since we were staying one day longer than his condo was available. We stayed here over Christmas 2014 and had plenty of space to spreadout and get comfortable for our 9 nights here. The condo is exactly as advertised, it is clean and has a great location to shopping and dining. Very quiet gated community and since this on the top floor of the building you don't hear anyone else above you. The price was excellent and would highly recommend staying here. Probably the only downside is that you aren't on the beach but you are only 2 minutes away from a beach and only 10-15 minutes away from arguably the best beaches on the island.

September 2014
Awesome condo with all amenities, including beach equipment, very close to some of the best beaches on the Big Island. The condo was spacious, clean, well-maintained and very quiet. Located in a nice gated complex with pool, BBQ and fitness centre! Two nice shopping centres (Kings and Queens) within walking distance for groceries, shopping or dining. This condo spoiled us so much that we couldn't help comparing it to the condo we rented later in Waikiki. Interaction with Geoff was very easy. Many thanks Geoff for a great stay!

July 2014
We were very happy with our whole process of booking our vacation with Geoff. He was extremely flexible and helpful in setting us up for our week's vacation in his wonderful condo. It had everything you could possibly need .... a true home away from home! My whole family enjoyed the comforts of the condo as well as the space to relax and not be on top of each other. The condo is located in my opinion, to everything we wanted to do and see. We put 1500 miles on our rental car while on the Big Island and after traveling and seeing the sights it was nice to come back and relax and have a meal in the condo. Like I said, it had everything you could possibly need. Thanks again Geoff for all your help. We hope to return to the beautiful island again some day, and hope that your condo will be available for our return.

April 2014
We really enjoyed the villa! It had a very nice layout with 2 bedrooms and a loft bedroom. Many nice amenities such as the Sony music player that you could WiFi into with your iPad, phone, etc and play Hawaiian music, washer/dryer, all kinds of beach equipment, snorkels, boogie boards, coolers, etc. We didn't have to buy anything except food. This place is a gem and very close to all the action and sites on the Big Island. It was a very quiet complex and the infinity pool and use of their grills on site was just fabulous! The whale watching was tremendous in March and we saw many breaches and a calf/cow swimming close to the boat. You can get on the boat within 3 minutes of the villa too. The convenience to the King and Queens Shops was really nice for some shopping or a quick bite to eat. Also a grocery store for those last minute supplies. The owners were very friendly and prompt in answering any questions we had. We REALLY enjoyed our stay in the Golf Villa. Thanks Geoff and Jennifer !!

April 2014
My family and I stayed at this condo for a week and really enjoyed it. It is very clean and comfortable. The location is very close to both the Kings and Queens marketplaces which was nice. The community pool, barbeque and fitness areas were all nice and clean. All our interactions with the owners were pleasant.

March 2014
We spent a very enjoyable 6 weeks in this condo at Fairway Villas. It was fun to sit on the lanai and watch the golfers as they putted on the first green. The owner was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to emails. The condo was well located within a few minutes walk to 2 shopping centers with grocery stores, restaurants and a variety of retail outlets. A gym and swimming pool were located a few yards from the front door. The condo was spacious, clean, well-maintained and very quiet. It was abundantly equipped with towels, bedding, dishes, beach towels and toys. There is even a playpen and baby seat. The furniture was comfortable and could accommodate several people. We would definitely stay there again.

March 2014
We stayed at 4 different places and this was our favorite. It is everything the reviews says it is and more. Great location for beaches, shopping, golf and restaurants. Has air conditioning and a super comfortable bed. Clean and updated, all the comforts of home. I couldn't complain about a single thing. In my opinion, the photo of the living room made it look a little "stuffy". What it doesn't show is the large sliding glass doors in the living room that open onto the lanai, with a beautiful view of the golf course.

February 2014
On our first visit to The Big Island, we were lucky enough to find this condo on VRBO. We had friends staying at The Fairway Villas and they told us about the great location. We were delighted upon our arrival to see how lovely condo B33 is! It’s light and airy and beautifully decorated, with very comfortable furnishings. The owners have put great thought into decorating their condo with Hawaiian flair: adorable bedding, wall hangings, and much, much, more! The kitchen is fabulous, complete with every gadget you’ll need, spices, condiments, coffee, and a huge refrigerator. (Our friends had to supply absolutely everything including salt & pepper in their condo!) Having beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, coolers etc. available to us, made going to the beach so easy. Their ‘brochure’ provides information about beaches, shopping, restaurants, and many activities close by. They even include a section named “Our Favorite Things” that was very helpful and we took full advantage of. All in all, it was a wonderful time in a wonderful condo. Thank you Geoff & Jennifer for sharing it with us!

December 2012
We absolutely love this place! Geoff had everything we could possibly need to day trips to the beach including beach chairs, coolers, papertowels, etc...The kitchen was beautifully furnished with all dishware/cookware and some comdiments, spices, etc...We ate most of our meals in the condo and it worked out really well since most places charge $16 for a basic hamburger! All we needed was a quick trip to the Waikoloa Village market to stock up on everything we needed for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Makes you feel like your in you own kitchen. The condo itself has a ton of room, with nice furniture/decor combinations. It was a total pleasure to be able to stay at this property. The only negative thing on our trip is that we did not want to leave! Mohola!

November 2012
We were wowed by the comfort, appeal and spaciousness of this beautiful well-appointed condo from the first moment we entered. It had everything we needed for enjoying the great outdoors of Hawaii. The amazing view of the dormant Kohala and Mauna Kea volcanoes drew us out onto the large lanai in the morning. It was fun to watch golfers striving for the nearby hole. Just behind the green, the historic King's Trail offers multitude of petroglyphs, primitive shelters and a challenging walking terrain. A few minutes on foot thru a manicured tropical landscape takes you to a great assortment of stores and restaurants of Queens Market Place and Kings Shops, which holds a farmer's market on Wednesdays. Not to be missed is spectacular palm-fronted Anaehoomalu Bay, where we never failed to spot and swim with green turtles just south of Lava Lava Beach Club. Hawaii has so much to offer for everyone. Each night, exhausted after a day full of activities, we were looking forward to relax in the comfort of this condo and have a home-cooked seafood dinner off the grill by the pool. And perhaps, jumping into the pool or soothing the sore muscles in the nice hot-tub nearby would provide for a great ending to another perfect day on Hawaii. Thank you so much, Geoff, for your hospitality, kindness and patience in answering all questions prior to our arrival. We had the time of our life and would love to come back in the near future to your piece of paradise.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
