This place was just what I was looking for. Easy parking near the location I wanted. Access to the beach and was able to see the sunset from my patio every evening. The place was very clean and available on time. The owner was also very responsive when I had questions. Absolutely no complaints and I will be coming back next year!

This place was wonderful! Everything in the place felt new, and the view from the lanai was beautiful. It was an easy walk to the shops, beach and the amenities in the village were great. The host was very good at communicating and was there for us if any problems were to arise. I highly recommend staying at this place!

Amazing unit, with amazing ocean views, and stunning gardens around. All the facilities are beautiful, several pools, and a great lounge area, right beside the beach. Beach is a few minutes walk from the unit. Wailea board walk is just around the corner. Unit is well equipped with anything you would need, including great beach equipment. Very well set up, open beautiful space. True to pictures. Wonderful stay!!! We wil be back for sure.

There was a plumbing issue where a good bit of sewage water was seeping and pooling out the base of the toilet. I was sensitive to the owner’s problem, cleaned it up (and cleaned if off my family), tested that the pooling occurred when flushed, removed everything from that bathroom and said it was off limits, firmly closed that door and then quickly bought Lysol spray. I emailed the owner directly that same morning. The owner was appreciative that we stopped using that bathroom to avoid plumbing/leaking issues with the downstairs condo. As we were checking out, a plumber was waiting to get in. I’m happy the next guest was able to avoid this issue.
I asked the owner how these problems are normally managed on VRBO and she politely told me that ‘stuff happens’ and she hoped I enjoyed my stay. No offer for any of my inconvenience at all. If you encounter issues, contact VRBO directly. They will be faster to respond and offer alternatives.
Pros:
1) Balcony was spacious.
2) The pub-style chairs on the balcony provided nice, elevated viewing.
3) Remodeled kitchen and bathroom
4) Pavilion by the main pool was nice.
5) Beach chairs/umbrella/cooler
Cons:
1) No elevator (had to haul beach chairs/umbrellas up two flights of stairs).
2) Bed linens were visibly tattered.
3) Not enough drinking glasses.
4) Odd décor (an 18 in porcelain mime doll on display in the dining hutch)
5) Broken blinds
6) Freestanding, communal BBQ was down the road, and was in front of some parked cars

We stayed here in late February to early March, and the weather was beautiful. The condo has a gorgeous view of the ocean, perfect for sunsets on the lanai. Keawakapu Beach is perfect for swimming and splashing in a few small waves. Children will love it. We’ve stayed at Ekahi many, many times and this was the most relaxing.

Oh the whales and sunset. We were here 5 years ago and a little older but nice nice condo except for new pullout. It is awfully uncomfortable. Great location and pool complex. It is the whales and sunset viewvthat makes this GREAT.

We had such a great time at Ekahi 51E. Family of 4 (kids on the sofa bed - very comfy with foam topper). Stunning views from wake up until sunset. Coffee's and happy hour's were two of our favorite parts of our stay. 51E has everything you need for an incredible time on Maui. We go every year and stay at the Ekahi with other friends and families and it's absolutely perfect. Great pools and steps from one of the best beaches on the island. Robin is a great host and a pleasure to work with. Would absolutely stay at this unit again !

We were working/volunteering in Maui during our 2 weeks stay so didn't get to enjoy the condo as much as we like. But it was very roomy and relaxing when we came home each day. We loved to watch the sunset each night and the kitchen was fully stocked so we could cook a simple meal. Thanks for hosting us. We would love to return.

Just a concern—air conditioner unit had a hard time with cooling down unit due to such high ceilings-
Maybe replace beach chairs with new ones and add some snorkeling equipment along with a few boogie boards

Beautiful condo on second floor with lovely lanai and beautiful sunsets. There were 2 problems during our stay - the first was a broken washing machine - we were told to call Molly if we needed any laundry done but we called twice and no one ever returned our calls. Second, there is a serious cockroach problem in that unit - our friends stayed in a different unit and didn't have that problem. We asked for more traps and never received them. They just weren't that responsive with voice mails. It was just gross to wake up in the morning and find roaches crawling all in bathroom over our toothbrushes, and in the cutlery drawer. We left no food out - it was all in the fridge. Otherwise the location can't be beat with ocean view, pools, pickleball etc.

Perfect spot for a couple or small family that wants to experience the beauty and ambience of Wailea without spending a fortune. This condo was just as advertised, with amazing views of the ocean, Lanai/Kahoolawe and fantastic sunsets from the kitchen and lanai. The owners provided great wifi, plenty of towels, beach gear, and everything needed for cooking meals. There are multiple pools on the property just a short walk away, including the beach side pool with covered dining pavilion and outdoor kitchen. A private gate from this pool lets you access one of the nicest beaches on Maui. Condo is also a 10 minute walk from the shops at Wailea, where you can find restaurants and a nice market with prepared food and meat/fish to cook up back home.

The location of this unit is great - beautiful views of the ocean. When we arrived at night, the unit was hot and smelled heavily like mould. The couch and furniture look dirty and from the 90s and it wasn’t the most pleasant first impression. Curtains in the bedroom have rips in them. The first night the AC in the main bedroom started dripping non-stop and soaked the carpet below it. At 3am I was frantically grabbing towels trying to dry the carpet. I think this is why the unit is smelling mouldy - my guess is this isn’t the first time it happened and there is likely mould in the carpet. The smell was quite bad.
I let the owner know about the AC and he had a repairman come and look at it. Unfortunately I was the one who had to spend the morning waiting around for the repairman - would be nice if the owner had someone on the island to manage things like this, as the last thing I wanted to do on vacation was manage a trade. I was however, happy he had the dripping fixed, as it was hard to sleep with non stop dripping.
This unit has a lot of potential - but needs some updating and a deep clean. I would absolutely rent in the Ekahi again, the pool and communal bbq eating area is amazing. I would just look for a different unit.

The condo was lovely and just what we needed for a very relaxing vacation. The grounds are beautiful. It is within a short driving distance from all types of restaurants and yet away from the hustle and bustle of Kihei. The beach access from the property is about a 5 minute walk from the condo; a lovely place to sit and watch sunsets. Ulua beach, just a bit up the road, was a better place for snorkeling, but Keawakapu beach is a beautiful, long beach for walking and swimming.

It was a major inconvenience since the sofa bed was not working. They got someone to fix it temporarily but it was still a big hassle to get it open and close that we literally avoided sleeping on it. The main curtain was broken but promptly fixed two later. The master bedroom mattress was saggy from the center.
Unit was big and clean and had it all for a good stay including cooking stuffv & appliances were good too..although the dishwasher wasn't cleaning well. Overall the renovated unit is great for a stay. Watching sunset from unit was also amazing.
Excellent location. The clubhouse is just picture perfect with ability to go for a swim and then watch the sunset by the beach. It also has cooking facilities, storage for your cold beverages & is very nice for gathering at the end of the day.
Overall, good unit to stay but definitely wish that the sofa bed issue hadn't been there.

We had a fantastic time in Maui and were so sad to have to come home. The Ekahi Village is a wonderful complex with a great pool and club house right on the beach. 51E had everything you would need for your stay including towels, extra pillows, a cooler, etc. The owners have made it easy to check in and the unit was very clean. We will definitely try to rent here again.

The unit was nice with a great view. However, furniture is tired, especially the couch. Not being able to barbeque was a big drawback. There was NO small ice chest! The beach chairs and umbrella are on their last legs. Dishwasher didn't get dishes on bottom clean, so we hand washed the rest of the trip. The slider is REALLY hard to open. In fact, I'm not sure gals would be able to do it on their own. The bed, however, was incredibly comfortable. Towels were plentiful. Having 2 bathrooms was great.

We actually stayed at two condos on this property during our stay and this one was much larger than our other condo. The extra big lanai and vaulted ceilings really open the space and give a roomier feel. Bathrooms were large. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils as well as basic cooking needs. Everything was very clean and it was a bonus having a washer and dryer in unit. They had beach towels, boogie boards, beach toys, beach chairs and umbrella available for use which was very nice. The ekahi village itself is lovely and the pools/ beach are amazing. Very family/kid friendly. It was so nice to be able to have option to cook at the condo or bbq on the lanai. We would definitely stay here again!

This condo was everything we could have wanted for our honeymoon celebration! It is super clean, very spacious, and has all of the amenities we could have ever asked for! This is one of those places where I almost don’t want to leave a review because I liked it so much I don’t want to compete with more people for availability. It was just right in every way that we were looking for. It felt open and breezy but private. You really can see the ocean, another island, and the sunset, not just some weird camera angle. It was close enough to the beach that an easy walk down was enjoyable and when you weigh that with the price it was totally worth it. It was clean and quiet. You know that feeling of relief when you walk in the front door of a vacation rental and you immediately know this is what you were hoping for and you didn’t let the family down? It was like that, not the four seasons and exactly what we wanted.

This was a very comfortable condo for us. The beach toys, chairs, boogie boards were really nice to have. The location of the complex was perfect with a great beach. The bed was very comfortable and the pull out sofa was comfortable due to a memory foam topper. The decor is a little outdated which was little off-putting at first but we got used to it and the view was what we were looking at! The lanai was beautiful. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Owners seem very nice and caring.

Had a great trip in Wailea - the family rented several condos in this complex and it was great to be in the same area and enjoy the amenities being close together. The beach here is great - we walked over to the Andaz for some of our meals. The patio area had a nice bbq and a great view! We will be back to this one!

Unit was exactly as pictured and described in VRBO listing. Very spacious, clean, renovated condo with open floor plan and large lanai. Well-equipped kitchen, large/new stainless fridge/freezer. Bathrooms were large and beautifully done in travertine. King-sized mattress was very comfortable. The local contact, Molly, was super helpful by phone when I arrived my first evening and couldn't figure out the A/C. A/C wasn't powerful, but it was sufficient for comfortable sleeping. Note: the compressor unit is on the lanai outside the bedroom -- it didn't bother me as I sleep with earplugs, but something to be aware of. Suggestion for the owner: include instructions for using the a/c remotes, as it's not intuitive. Thank you for a wonderful stay in 51E -- looking forward to returning again and will recommend to friends!

Spent a full week on Maui, staying at 51E. It is a very comfortable and roomy condo with a beautiful view. The location in Wailea is perfect. Close enough to the beach, but still has a private and somewhat secluded feel to it. We hope to stay here again very soon.

This was a great find in the Ekahi Village. The condo has a great layout, is nice and clean and also offers great ocean views. It’s a 5 min walk to the beach or the boardwalk. We really enjoyed our evenings on the lanai. All the appliances including the bbq are of great quality and work well. Overall, a great experience and a place we can recommend to others.

We've stayed at Wailea Ekahi several times over the years and have always enjoyed it. Staying in 51E was no different. Lovely condo, great view, patio with BBQ was terrific, pools are very nice, and the beach below is the best in Maui. The only thing wrong was the AC in the LR was not working. Otherwise, we had a great vacation!

We had a great time in this comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully appointed unit. It had everything we needed for the pool and the beach, and all the comforts of home with appliances, comfortable furnishings, and a nice bed. However, it was a nagging concern that the local contact person did not return our first-day texts or calls when we were trying to figure out logistical questions caused by conflicting information about keys and parking passes, and did not respond when the screen door required repair (it would not unlock and we had to prop it open during our entire stay). The owner did reply promptly to email, but the complete lack of response from the local contact worried us in the event that we needed on-island help. Assuming the on-island contact issues are resolved, this is a wonderful place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location and unit. We've stayed in this "village" before, which was also very nice, but this one was more than enough space for me and my husband. Very quiet and clean, with a very well-supplied kitchen, if you plan to cook. There is a nice view from the balcony with a small table suitable for enjoying a drink or meal. Be prepared for a slightly long walk uphill from the beach/pool. The only reason we may consider another hotel or village in the future would be for an adult only pool (there were a lot of kids using the pool near the ocean) but the village does have a few smaller, "quiet" pools on-site for use, just not near the ocean.) There is also one of the best snorkeling locations for seeing turtles on Maui right in front of the village!

loved our stay at Ekahi Village 51E. Open, spacious floor plan, views from every room, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, quiet & efficient a/c, large washer/dryer. There were beach chairs, a large umbrella and ice chest to use. Easy walk down hill to the beach. It may be more difficult walking back up for some people but we enjoyed the beautiful landscape along the way. Hopefully, we will get to rent this unit again!

This trip was my third trip to Maui, HI. My sister, mother and I had a wonderful time at Ekahi Village #51E. We had good views of the ocean and spectacular views of the flowers in the gardens from the lanai. The staff at the Ekahi Village made us feel welcome very day. The grounds of the Ekahi Village were very well maintained. The pool area of the Village is very nice for sunbathing and they have three swimming pools to swim in. The location and the condo's amenities were described correctly. The condo is on the second floor so there are some stairs to climb. The condo was clean and well maintained when we arrived. (We elected for no housekeeping service for our stay so we were careful to take off our shoes when we entered and generally tried to pick up after ourselves.) The owner was friendly during the booking process and helped us fill an empty propane tank for the nice gas BBQ on the lanai (Probably gas tank valve left on when last renters left). I would recommend the condo for any of my relatives and friends. We had a great time listening to the birds, looking at the beautiful flowers, and looking for whales from the lanai. I am looking forward to my next stay at 51E!

We were so lucky to find this condo in Wailea. Robin was courteous, quick to respond and wonderful to work with. The unit itself is very spacious and well equipped with everything you need. We loved being able to grill on the deck and dine while watching the sunset. The ocean views from both the bedroom and living room are beautiful. Beach access form the ocean-front pool is so convenient, you can walk all the way down the beach to all the other hotels. Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

This condo is in the gorgeous Ekahi complex, and was very comfortable and clean. It has a beautiful lanai that stretches across both the bedroom and the living area. We had wonderful dinners out on the lanai watching the sunset and I even saw whales one morning from the lanai with my binoculars! Great gas grill for cooking yummy dinners and the kitchen had all that we needed. The beach chairs and umbrellas available were also a nice amenity to have on hand. We have stayed in other condos in the Ekahi complex that had more recent kitchen and bath remodels, but this condo was very clean and the extra space and gorgeous views were more important to us than marble countertops. It is at the far end of the complex, but away from the road so it is still very quiet. There are some cute little green birds that have breakfast in the orange honeysuckle flowers just outside the lanai also, which was sweet to wake up to every morning. A short walk to the beach which I enjoyed, going through all the grounds was lovely, and it's only five minutes, but might not be great if you have problem walking. There is a smaller adult pool very close to the unit. The only thing that could be improved would be if the condo had a few more towels on hand, but there is a washer and drier that can be used if you run short. Overall, a great place to stay and I would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay at this condo in Wailea. The ocean and garden views were great and it was nice being able to watch the sunset from the living room and lanai. The place is very spacious and comfortable and the remodeled bath was nice for showering off after swimming in the ocean. The beach and pool were a very short walk away, which is nice too. The beach was really enjoyable, not crowded and very clean and beautiful. I really enjoyed the catwalk at the beach which takes you on a trail passing other resorts and winds along the ocean. Overall a great place to stay for a relaxing and peaceful vacation. I will definitely come back to this place and recommend to my friends and families.

We were amazed by the beautiful ocean view when we first stepped into the condo's spacious living room.
The condo is very spacious compared to the other condos we stayed in Ekahi before. It has a big living room and dining room. The bedroom is a good size, too. It has two big bathrooms along with big closet space. Although we only used the master bathroom most of the time, it is really nice to have two for families with kids. The whole setting at this condo is lovely and comfortable. We sat at the lanai and enjoyed coffee made from the Keurig coffee machine every morning. We utilized the BBQ stove a lot for dinner. Every day, I spent a lot of time reading books and enjoying the spectacular ocean view on the lounge at the lanai off the bedroom. The plus side of this condo is that the bedroom also has great ocean view that I miss so much after I returned home. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities I need. I made fresh smoothie and juice from the fruit I bought from the farmer market. What a great treat in paradise! The Ekahi complex is like a paradise garden.
While walking to the beach from the condo, I was amazed by those beautiful tropical flowers. It is a very short walk to
the beach and at the beach my husband and I usually walk toward the south side along the famous Wailea beach walk for miles and miles. The condo is very quiet, no street noise at all. The only sound I can hear is the birds chirping on the trees. The big flat screen TV gave us good entertainment at night. We feel so relaxed here and really feel sad when we have to leave. We will definitely come back to this nice unit with our next Maui trip and we will definitely recommend this condo to our friends and families.

Everything is pretty much as shown, but we found 4 cockroaches inside the condo and 1 on the lanai. The ones inside were dead or dying. The one on the lanai was very alive. One was about the size of my husbands thumb, and they fly! Very gross!!

We stayed at this property from March 30th to April 6th, 2011. The property was very clean, well maintained and quite spacious. We were travelling with two young kids, so we appreciated the size of the unit. The kids slept on the pullout in the living room. The walk to the beach was only a few minutes and we made excellent use of the on-site swimming pool closest to the beach access. The view from the property was truly spectacular.The owners were attentive and promptly responded to our concerns. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at this property.

Love the condo's on the beach in Wailea. We had not stayed in Ekahi before and were very happy there. A little walk down to the beach. Nice pool and beach. There is a break in the beach path before you get to this complex, but you can just walk along the beach. So, you can walk to the other condo's, village and hotels along the beach walk.
The condo itself was very nice. High ceilings in living room make it seem very spacious. Furnishings are pleasant, bathrooms nice. The sofa bed was fine for our son. Has nice water view. Large lanai. you do look down into a gully, but soon forget that when you are sitting a watching the view and it gives you privacy. Very quiet, top floor. Robin could not have been nicer or more responsive. We would definately choose this unit again.
