We had a great stay at the place. Great location. Very clean. Provided beach equipment such as chairs, umbrella, and cooler bag which was very convenient and useful. Communication was good. Unfortunately WiFi was not working during our entire stay but that’s due to ISP problems, atleast the TV worked and there were good channels.
overall would recommend for sure if staying in Kihei !!

This condo is in a great location and is clean. All the items needed for a great beach vacation were included. If you plan to cook a lot, I recommend getting a knife from Ross or the cheap Costco pack because all the knives are dull. Other than that, it's an excellent place for a small family.

Jerry’s property was perfect for my family of 3 (2 adults and 12 yo). You know you picked a great place when you only needed to communicate with the owner before check-in and at checkout.
The property had everything we needed for our 7 night stay in Maui. We ate out A LOT (supporting local businesses) and having a full kitchen to reheat leftovers were perfect.
When headed to the beach the unit has 4 beach chairs/towels, 2 big umbrellas, and a soft sided cooler. Charley Young Beach was a 5 min walk from the front door to the sand.
You also had plenty of food options that was a less than a 10 minute walk north or south of the property for breakfast, brunch, lunch, shaved ice, ABC store, or dinner.
Having individual AC units in the main living area, and in the 2 bedrooms, kept everyone comfortable and cool.
A dedicated parking spot close to the elevator was super helpful. The property itself provides grocery carts next to the elevator to bring up everything you need to the top floor for Jerry’s unit. The one quirky thing about the building is that there are half floors on each level (not sure what to call it exactly). So we took the elevator to the 4th floor, then had to walk up 8 steps (exactly) to get to the 4 1/2th floor where the unit is located. Just something to keep in mind. We actually took the stairs every time, with the exception of checking in and checking out.
If we ever come back, we hope Jerry’s place is available. Mahalo Jerry!

Property was perfect for our needs . Very clean and close to all amenities . Only downside was not enough parking close up . We ended up with 2 vehicles and parking was a fair walk each time . Other than that I would definitely visit again !! Aloha

Gerry was an AMAZING host and his place was just perfect for us. VERY comfortable beds, VERY clean, and GREAT location, a very short walk to a kid friendly beach. Our daughter also loved the pool! The complex was also very quiet. Thanks again so much, would highly recommend!

The condo was great, loved the decorations, great Hawaiian feel to it. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Had beach chairs and umbrellas for use on the beach. Good sized cooler for packing lunches for a day trip. The only thing missing was a bar of soap for the showers, not a big deal. Had a great time!

We were two friends traveling together and enjoyed each having our own room and bathroom. The beds were comfortable, A/C was cold, good wifi, nice pool/hot tub, great proximity to beaches and restaurants, laundry/dishwasher in unit, pleasant and easy to communicate with host. We loved our stay! Jerry was so nice and communicative. Check-in was super easy and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. My family felt right at home and you can walk across the street to the beach and snorkel! A VRBO is sooo much better than staying at a hotel.. which we did on Oahu. My parents said they would totally come back to Jerry's place vs going to one of those big resorts which are WAY too crowded. I can totally see myself booking this place again.

Our unit was just as described and fit our needs perfectly! Spacious enough for 4 adults plus our infant. Jerry was a dream to communicate with and the condo was stocked to the brim with essentials (and bonus items like spices and Tupperware!). Location is amazing, across the street from stunning Charley Young beach, a short walk to central Kihei where the action is, and 20 mins from airport. Couldn’t have asked for more!!!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Jerry's piece of paradise. It was so easy to communicate with owner and we never had any issues. The condo was very clean upon arrival, beds were very comfortable, we woke up well rested ready for more adventures or relaxation. We found the kitchen well stocked with utensils and cookware. We can't wait for a return trip to this piece of paradise.

From check in to check out everything went smoothly.The host was just a text message away although we had no issues it was a good feeling.Everything we needed was already there,,nice beach chairs and other than a few groceries ,we needed nothing,it was all supplied ie paper towels,laundry soap etc. The condo is in a nice quiet area ,we felt very safe. Charlie Young beach across the street is beautiful,family friendly and much nicer than some of the smaller beaches. Its just a beautiful area. Everything is in walking distance for anyone who gets around reasonably well but it was nice to have a car . Parking was close and hassle free,,the pool area is really nice and a pleasant place when you want a break from the sand.. I highly recommend this area and Condo.

Finally we got to travel to the US again and Jerry helped us to have an excellent time in Hawaii.
The location is just perfect, beach on the other side of the street and foodtrucks around the corner. With a car everything is really close.
The condo was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. We could have used four extra towels. We are a family of four so only four large towels provided a small challenge for us.
We didn’t go to the pool as we were at the beach all the time. The chairs and the umbrella helped us to relax in comfort.
We will certainly consider this condo for any future travel, it’s great!

Great property. Parking spot is close to elevator. Every room has an AC unit. There are beach chairs provided. Pool and hot tub easy to find and relaxing. Jerry was very communicative about the check in procedure. A book is in condo to help with check out and any issues may have. Nice to have in laundry unit. Jerry provides a lot of nice amenities such as sunblock, lotion, laundry detergent etc. Definitely recommend.

Location couldn't be more perfect. Walking distance to wonderful beaches, shopping, and restaurants. We didn't really need to use the rental car very much. We will definitely rent this place again!

Jerry’s space was absolutely amazing! The inside felt just like home and was a great place to unwind after long days at the beach or exploring the island. The location couldn’t have been more perfect with plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a beach right across the street where we saw many sea turtles! I would highly recommend anyone looking to experience Maui to stay here.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay in Kihei, Maui! Property is a short walk to Charlie Young beach which was a great, not-too-crowded beach that was easily accessible. The condo was comfortable and had most of what we needed(besides food and toiletries) for our week long stay. The owner is communicative, thorough and friendly. Not a “high end” property, but very comfortable and affordable! It is a short walk to food, convenience stores and other beaches/parks. We would stay again!

This condo was wonderful! Absolutely perfect! The decor is so pretty and it was all very clean. We were beyond comfortable. It has everything you need, beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, beach cooler, bathroom amenities, kitchen well stocked, wifi, AC, and so much more. The owners thought of everything! There is even a wagon under the bed, which we didn't realize until our last day when we were cleaning up.
It is an easy walk to Charley Young Beach right across the street. Restaurants are in walking distance as well. Jerry was so easy to work with. I had to call him a couple of times for very minor things and he was so sweet and always answered the phone, or emails.
Jerry and Betty - you made this place feel so much like a home, we did not want to leave! I had some friends with two horrible vrbo rental situations, so we can't thank you enough for being legit and honest people to rent from.
We will definitely be back and plan to stay here again.

Our stay at Pacific Shores was relaxing and close to everything we enjoyed previous years in Kihei. The condo was well equipped and the lay out was ideal for two couples. The beds were very comfortable and central air made the inside temperatures perfect after spending the day time on the beach. The pool area was well maintained and we enjoyed the hot tub. Pacific Shores would be on our list if we travel back to Maui in the future. We would have liked a safe for valuables however, Jerry and Betty had a back up plan which we did not have to utilize. I loved my stay at Jerry and Betty's condo in Kihei. Location was perfect, so many things (grocery, ABC stores, shopping) within walking distance. Excellent pool with a hot tub. I loved this condo because I traveled with my boyfriend, my brother and his wife. All the other condos I looked at with two bedroom/two bath had a loft with twin beds upstairs. This condo was perfect because of the two full bathrooms and two queen sized beds. Small kitchen, but that didn't bother us, because it still had all things necessary to make food instead of constantly eating out. The condo was well stocked with extra supplies; ie toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags ect. There was plenty of towels, beach towels and even boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas. So nice to have that equipment when you're heading to the beach. Jerry contacted me immediately after I booked the condo with his email with any questions. He was always informative and responded quickly.
One minor bump in our trip was the dryer was broken upon arrival. I mainly do VRBO when on vacation, so that when I stay somewhere, I am able to do laundry as I need. Jerry tried to resolve the problem right away, but the dryer needed a part and so it was not usable for our stay. We used the Lipoa Laundry Center twice to wash our things. Kind of a bummer, but oh well. These things happen.
Overall, was a wonderful stay (even with the "accidental" ballistic missile threat; side note, it was nice to have cable to watch the news) and would stay there again. Mahalo for the awesome condo.

What we loved:
1. North facing deck - shade all day long. The apartment does not get too hot.
2. Air conditioned bedrooms. Individual controls. (There is one in the living room as well, but you don't need it.)
3. Well equipped kitchen.
4. Walk to the beach, surf shop, shops, restaurants.
5. Bedroom doors - no loft, no sliding walls.
6. Attentive host.
7. beach equipment.
Reasons you may not want to choose this apartment:
1. You want to sun bathe on your lanai - this one is shady all day long :) The pool area has loungers and is a great spot to catch some sun.
2. You want your whole family to eat on the deck: This one is good for romantic dinners for two. Four people need to eat inside at the dining room table or down by the grill area of the pool.
3. You want to watch the sunset from your lanai: You have a nice view of a mountain and the evening sky, but to see the actual sunset, you need to cross the street to the beach - less than 5 minutes to walk from your door to the sand.

Our experience at Pacific Shores was fantastic. Our condo was lovely and clean. I am very thankful it had air conditioning. I felt the condo had everything I needed. The pool area was tidy and offered shade to escape from the sun when needed. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope we can afford to come back in the next few years!!!!

The four of us had a great stay at Jerry's place. Walking distance to a beautiful beach and lots of shops and restaurants around, but the condo was calm and quiet in the evenings and at night. Perfect space for four people. Short drive from the airport. Condo was well-kept, very clean, had all kitchen utilities we needed, A/C worked great. Overall a perfect stay, would definitely book again!

Four of us (two couples) stayed at Jerry's condo at the Pacific Shores for a month ..Jan 5 2017 to Feb 2nd. His condo was fantastic. The property itself is located close to beaches and shopping. The pool at the condo is good to have a refreshing dip in and there are four BBQ's. Some seem to work better than others...BBQ number 4 was our favourite. It was difficult to light some of the others. As for the condo, nothing disappointed. The kitchen, while small, had really good quality pots and pans, a great fridge with an ice maker, and plenty of cutlery and dishes. The beach gear was a very pleasant surprise too -- four Tommy BaHama chairs and two Tommy B. umbrellas, a number of coolers and two boogie boards. We appreciated the chairs and umbrellas in particular. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens and the A/C worked well. Jerry was always responsive to e-mails, right from the start when booking to when we'd moved in and I couldn't figure out how to get the Cable working. I just hadn't read the instructions closely enough, but Jerry told me how to do it, via e-mail, promptly. Speaking of Cable...it's got all the channels plus Netflix and a PVR. The condo was quiet and we all appreciated the keyless entry system, which meant we could all go our separate ways, if we wanted, and not have to worry about keys. I would definitely rent this condo again...and once plans for 2018 are finalized, Jerry can expect tp hear from me!

1st time staying in Maui and 1st time VRBO rental.
Great experience renting from Gerald and Betty Ramirez. Their place is very clean and well equipped. The complex pool/BBQ area is a major bonus. Located across from Charley Young Beach made it very convenient as well.
PS.. My 10 year old son ranted about the very fast internet ;-) I could have easily worked if necessary.
