Cute and cozy space, just blocks from the beach. Kailua town was not too far of a walk. We did not feel the need for wheels, it was close enough to stroll around town on foot.
We got there a couple hours early and were able.to put our stuff in the room while waiting for proper check in time.

This is my second time staying at this VRBO. You could not ask for a better setup and location for your Kailua stay. The hosts are wonderful and friendly and respect your privacy. The accommodations are beautiful including the cute outdoor patio. And they’ve thought of every amenity you might need to enjoy the space as well as the beach. I could not recommend this place enough!

This was a perfect tropical sanctuary for the two of us. We were within walking distance to downtown Kailua Town and to Kailua Beach. We enjoyed the outdoor garden area - perfect for reading, with the soothing sound of the water fountain.

Lovely and quiet near town. Walking a bit challenging without clear sidewalks so we drove instead but were able to walk to the beach easily. The patio was a hidden gem. Mahalo!

I loved my experience, staying at this beautiful and quiet spot. I enjoyed everything from the homemade scones to a little garden area where we were able to use the BBQ. The location was also a close walk to the beach and to the food locations in Kailua. Great value.

Nice little cottage by the beach. Owners are very nice and respectful of your privacy. It’s a very lush property with lots of trees and plants so there are some bugs but they never bothered us really. Location is perfect, beach is a 5-6 minute walk and maybe 10 mins to Whole Foods. Would definitely stay again.

Paul and Rachel have a beautiful home in Kailua. The Ginger Suite was very comfortable and cozy. They’ve thought of all the little things. It has everything you need. A nice little breakfast bar, beautiful beach close by and Kailua is full of great restaurants and shops, I highly recommend!

We so enjoyed staying at this comfortable property. Being that it is located in town where we used to live made it easy to visit familiar areas (especially the local beach) and explore places we hadn’t seen before. Accommodations very cozy and inviting and ammenities to assist in our stay were great. Sorry that we didn’t get to interact with the owners more so didn’t see them before our departure so will follow up with a note once back home. We would definitely consider staying with them again.

Me and my wife spent a week here. It was amazing! The location was perfect. We were so close to the beach and so close to all of the shops and restaurants in Kailua. The room was very clean, the amenities were wonderful, and the owners were very friendly!

We are fairly frequent visitors to the islands and prefer staying in rentals over hotels but have found it more difficult to find places. We were excited to find this rental and it was perfect for the two of us. The accommodations, and the access to the property owners was fantastic. We were provided a list with suggestions for restaurants, things to see and do and local information which was super… we checked out a lot during our stay.
We appreciated the coffee bar and the first day breakfast provided - fresh fruit and scones. Having the microwave, small fridge and toaster oven was perfect for all our needs (keeping water cold as well as the few groceries we purchased from Costco to have available). The location provides easy access to the beach and to town. We walked everywhere!
We enjoyed our morning coffee and snacks in the private garden area and were thankful for the bug spray because they were biting especially in the mornings and evenings.
We will definitely keep this location in mind when we return to the islands. Great hospitality, location and accommodations.

This is a lovely property walking distance to the beach and to shops and restaurants in Kailua town. We spent a few days decompressing after a two-week trip around the islands with three grandkids and their parents. Absolutely loved the small, private courtyard, which was perfect for the two of us to enjoy breakfast and an afternoon cocktail. The hosts were awesome and made us feel so at home. We maybe chatted them up a bit much, but they were so friendly and interesting, we felt like old friends. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Ginger Studio! The room is as described but even nicer in person with the other amenities. The property is well maintained with lots of landscaping and I loved the small fountain that blocked some of the background neighborhood noise. There is off-street parking and a really nice outdoor patio area surrounded by landscaping that makes it feel really isolated. Kailua beach is just a block and a half away, and there are boogie boards and beach mats for your use…
We walked into town several times for meals and coffee.
This was really a perfect stay for us in a perfect location. Paul and Rachel were very friendly and available without being intrusive - all of the information we needed was provided in advance, so there was no reason to contact them, but we enjoyed visiting with Paul when our paths intersected.
We will definitely be back for another stay (as soon as possible!)

This is the second year in a row we stayed in the Ginger room. We love the location close to the beach and Kailua downtown. The lanai gives you a feeling of space. Exactly as advertised.

We were in Oahu for a Wedding. This is a great little spot. Had everything we needed and hosts were prompt. We needed an iron and they responded quickly and made sure we had a spray bottle and board as well. They were on it!
Plenty of boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas. The bed was really comfortable and the beach was truly steps away.
Great location. We’d stay there again.

The property is in a perfect location, especially without a car. Kailua Beach was five minutes away and Kailua town was thirteen minutes. Easily walkable!
The studio is perfect for two people, with small fridge, a microwave, a toaster oven and a coffee maker. There is no laundry facilities but two laundromats are close by. The hosts were pleasant and a quick text away. The gardens and your own little patio is a bonus. We had a lovely time and will definitely return.

We have stayed at many VRBOs. This was certainly among the top experiences. Everything was even better than advertised. The location was ideal, easy walk to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The private, outdoor garden patio was a beautifully maintained space that made the studio apartment seem much larger. Paul and Rachel were excellent hosts with good communication and responsive to our questions/needs. We unquestionably would come back. Mahalo!

I’ve stayed at at least eight places in Kailua, and this was the best by far—easily walkable to the beach and town, beautiful and quiet property, friendly owner, comfortable bed, fresh fruit provided, toaster oven and microwave and refrigerator for light meal prep, shady private parking steps away, beach umbrella, chairs, mats and even boogie boards. My gosh, what more could you want??

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheffield Bed & Breakfast. The studio is perfect size for a couple with a little patio and a tucked away secret garden that’s perfect for morning coffee or eating outside. We hungout there a lot - super peaceful and beautiful. The location could not be better - we walked to basically everything in town and it’s a 5 min walk to the beach and the beach Is gorgeous. This little studio comes w everything you need including beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella. Paul could not have been more welcoming and everything was seamless. He gave us a great reco for exploring the North Shore which we took and loved. Great stay, can’t say enough good things. Thank you!!

Rachel and Paul were the best hosts! Their property is in the most convenient area in Kailua and just a short walk away from the best beach on the island. The ginger studio is perfect for two people with a spacious room, bathroom, and private lanai and patio area. My friend and I loved picking up our food to go and enjoying our patio surrounded by lush tropical plants especially at night time while it was lit up! I just wish it was a king bed rather than Queen but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to return here every time I come to Oahu. Thanks Rachel and Paul!

Kailua is on the prettiest side of the island, and this property is just gorgeous. It’s a very short walk to a beautiful beach in one direction and a short walk to restaurants and shopping in the other direction.
A few small things: if the bath towel rack is moved up about a foot, the bath towels won’t cover the toilet paper. :)
Also, I bought an ice cube tray for the makeshift freezer but alas, it was too large. Ice would be very appreciated in the hot tropics.

We had a wonderful stay. It's a short walk to a nice quite beach. You can also walk to all the restaurants and bars in town. The overall location is nice if you plan to explore all of oahu. It's a short drive to a bunch of nice hiking locations like diamond head and koko crater. The room was clean and the host provided beach chairs, towels and boogie boards. This was a quick trip to Kailua to visit my daughter who attends UH, and to see family and friends. Excellent location, and an easy walk to the beach and into Kailua town. Space is small but comfortable, and we did enjoy the outdoor table and sitting area. I traveled during Covid, which made it difficult to meet and converse with the owners, but they seemed nice and cordial given our limited interaction. The downside would be that the space wasn’t very clean. I had to sweep the floors upon my arrival (covered with sand and dust), and the small table and mirror in the living area were very dirty. The space is also pretty loud. You can easily hear your neighbors talking and their TV sets. The kitchenette is sparsely stocked and could really use a sharp knife for cutting fruit and other foods. Serving spoons, ice tray, and other basics would be helpful.

Arrival was very easy. Off street parking and the process to get in was incredibly simple. Having high speed internet made my stay very easy. I was able to walk to beautiful beach and did several walks to the beach. Getting to the beach is a bit of effort because of the private property that obstructs the easiest route. But, I was able to walk to the beach easily enough. Highly recommend.
