The unit was clean and comfortable. As advertised, it was a short walk to the sand and water and closer still to the pools and on-grounds restaurant. It easy walking distance to a grocery store, local restaurants and food trucks, and a short drive to popular restaurants and an outdoor mall with upscale shopping and other areas of interest. We enjoyed our stay and quickly felt relaxed and happy we chose this rental.

My family stayed in this unit for 2weeks. It was just as the listing described. Very clean unit with full amenities. The unit was well equipped with snorkel gear, beach chairs, and sand toys. The A/C worked great and the bathroom was large enough, having two sinks, a tub, and shower. The unit is steps from both pools, restaurant (which is on property) and the beach. The unit is on ground floor which was very convenient with a large lanai and grass area. It was great waking up every morning, having a coffee and enjoying the sunrise. The owner was very accommodating and was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this unit.

This unit is everything! Well stocked with all the amenities and Arthur was also super quick with responses.
We really loved the ground floor steps away from the beach, pool, dining (food trucks too!) supermarket, and parking. The easy live music at the pool was a bonus to hear from the patio or during an afternoon swim. We loved to watch the sunset every evening and looked forward to walking the boardwalk every morning along the beach.
This was my 10th trip to the islands and have been fortunate to stay at some of the luxury mega resorts, however we really much preferred the smaller feel of Kaanapali Shores and how centrally located this unit was to all the amenities that we love! Not spending a lot of time to walk to the beach, car, restaurant etc was certainly delightful! We definitely hope to return soon for another stay in this unit:) Mahalo

My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed staying here for our honeymoon. The condo was very clean and the location was so close to the beach , pools and the resort’s restaurant.
We also liked that there were free towels that you could exchange daily and sunscreen dispensers located throughout the resort. The drinks at the bar were really good. Would highly recommend trying the tropical itch or the passion fruit daiquiri.
The owner was super friendly and great at communicating anytime we had a question. We were really happy to see how well stocked the condo was with movies, snorkel / beach gear and, household items.
The location was also a big plus since everything was within walking distance such as; Whalers Village, grocery stores, food trucks, and restaurants.

Couldn’t beat this location! Only a few steps from the pools, restaurant and beach. Convenience of the first floor while still feeling private. Very clean unit with everything you could need (beach chairs, toys, wagon, etc). Smooth check in process and friendly host. By far the best rental experience I’ve had in Maui and the only place I’ll stay in the future. Highly recommend!

Everything we needed! Being on the ground level, right by the pool and restaurant/bar makes it feel like you’re part of the action. The condo has a view of the ocean, it’s beautifully decorated, and has a ton of included items. Our kids loved the pool and beach toys, and we were thrilled to be able to use the wagon. Beds are comfy, appliances work great. We had such a great time!

The house has a modern beach vibe! We really loved the extra touches! We felt very appreciated and enjoyed all of it! The Murphy bed was PERFECT as if folded up every morning!
We LOVED the coffee, and Ice that was already there when we arrived as well as cooking spices!
Our favorite was coffee on the patio watching the whales breach every day and being able to just walk out to the pool and beach!

This condo was perfect for our trip to Maui! Our kids (5 & 8) absolutely LOVED being so close to both pools and the beach!!! It was so convenient having the bar/restaurant right next door too! The staff was friendly, parking was easy and Arthur was great host and very attentive!

True advantages this unit are being close to the beach and pool, ground level living and having 2 beds in the living room (teen/tweens having their own bed makes the vacay better for all). The unit has a great layout and a fabulous location to the resort amenities and the beach and it was extremely clean.
Every morning I would wake up early and walk out to the beach for some quiet time. Then in the afternoon we would walk to local beach down to the left of the resort either by way of the path or from the beach.
The unit is directly across from the restauant/bar and one of the two pools which was very convenient for happy hour.
Arthur was not only extremely responsive and kind, but he has stocked the place with so many great items that made it so easy for us having a 3 year old. There are so many toys for the beach we didn't have to pack any which was great. The convenience of having beach chairs, an umbrella and a wagon on site made everything so easy.
Arthur's list of info that he provides was very helpful. We were walking distance from the market, food trucks, Slappy Cakes, Duke's, pools, beaches and many other things. I would highly recommend this unit.

This property is so close to the ocean and pool. My kids had so much fun just running in and out of the condo. We watched the sunset from our patio every night. The condo is stocked with so much stuff and we really liked taking the beach cart everywhere. Very nice and updated too. We had many family members at the hotel and all of them wished they were in our room! We are totally coming back and booking nowhere else.

My family and I stayed here during Christmas and were extremely pleased that we had chose this rental. This property is in the perfect location. Kaanapali is in my opinion, the place to be on Maui. We were right in the middle of all the action. Shops and restaurants all around us. Black Rock right down the way. The pool with restaurant and bar was right across the pathway outside the back door. To me, the best part was that this rental is right on the ground floor, steps from the beach. Didn’t have to worry about elevators or stairwells. We rented surfboards from across the street and was able to conveniently store them over night right on the grass. Try that on an upper level. We also didn’t have to go very far because we were able to surf right in front of the property. This unit supplied body boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and even a wagon to pull everything in. There were more beach toys to choose from but that’s all that we had used. The unit is updated with a modern style and has tile floors which makes the difference with cleanliness. Arthur provided us with information about the area and made it extremely easy to access the property with all of the instructions we needed. Next time we visit Maui we will definitely choose this unit to stay at.

This is a great location for families with young children. Being ground level makes it easy to access the restaurant right out the doors. Although we were in transition of moving and didn't get a "vacation" this would be a great spot for vacation as the unit is fully stocked and easy access to many amenties, beaches, etc.

My adult children and I had an amazing week! The condo is the best location on the property, steps from the pools and beach. The kitchen had everything we needed. The Murphy bed and king bed were super comfortable! We had an amazing trip to Maui and loved the location of this condo! Beds were comfy and the pool is gorgeous and it was so nice to just walk out to the beach! We were impressed with how much was provided as far as essentials you might need. Normal stuff like pots/pans/utensils but also even had sunscreen and washing machine soap pods, batteries, bandaids, beach toys, cooler, boogie boards, dvds, books, etc, etc!!! So nice to have everything we needed at our finger tips. Communication with Arthur was great also. He replied quickly to my question. We will be back for sure!!

Arthur has thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay in this wonderful condo, you feel as though you are in your own home. The bed is so comfy and will put you right to sleep. We loved the shampoo, condition and shower gel dispenser in the shower. It makes it so easy as you don’t have to fumble with little containers while showering after you time in the pool or at the beach. I was pleasantly surprised to find everything you need for your day at the beach including a foldable wagon to carry the chairs, ice chest, umbrella, children’s toys, boogie boards and towels in a nicely placed closet that was easy to access. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook your meals including nice table and silverware. He also includes nice hand soaps for the kitchen and bathroom along with a full bottle of liquid soap to wash dishes. Another thing that was nice was the soap pods for the laundry if you chose to do any. We used the safe to store our valuables while we were out having fun. There are 2 TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom so you can enjoy a movie or just watch what’s on the tube while you unwind from your excellent day of fun. I would definitely come back to this property and refer it to all my friends so they can have a place to call home while in Maui. Thank you Arthur for letting us stay in your place away from home, it was the best!!!

This condo was perfection! Just what we needed for our active family. A great location with plenty of restaurants, snorkeling and hiking close by. The extras (cooler, snorkeling gear, chairs, etc.) were a bonus. We explored the entire island while we stayed here and would definitely come back. The sunset at this condo can't be beat!

This condo could not be any better. The location is amazing. Can walk less then five minutes for top rated coffee, a grocery store, or several restaurants. Yet you do not even need to walk far for a restaurant. Just walk out onto the balcony, which is on the ground floor, and the resorts restaurant is literally ten steps away. Also, it was delicious! Every night I was there they had live music by the pool which was behind the restaurant, right there! Could hear the music in the condo with the doors open and could hear the ocean. Walking to the beach, he is not exaggerating, is less then a minute walk. Everyone staying at the resort was so friendly. We made many new friends. They were all jealous of the location of our condo. Can’t blame them! In the condo they make sure you have a terrific time with a whole closet full of beach gear. Snorkels, sand toys, chairs, umbrella, even a foldable wagon and a cooler. Everything that is difficult to pack. The pillows were comfortable and the bed, slept like a rock. The condo was clean and everything we needed was there. I could go on and on about what a wonderful vacation this was and how this condo made our vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your second home with my family. We will be back next summer:-)

The condo, the resort and the location are great and as described by Arthur. Enjoyed every moment of our two week stay. The beach has eroded away due to recent storms however the 5 mile "Boardwalk" to Lahaina was a surprise bonus.

I stayed in Maui with 4 couples and we rented 2 units at Kaanapali Shores. This was by far the better unit. Just steps from the pool and the ocean. Furnishings look new and modern. Owners are friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend.

We come to this resort every year. This is our first time using this condo. Truly amazing. I cannot say enough good things. We really appreciated all of the extra touches. We had everything that we needed to feel at home. The bed and Murphy bed were both so comfortable. So close to the beach. We were able to see many turtles in the water just steps from the door.
The AC was not working when we arrived and called Julie and she had maintenance there within 10 minutes. Thank you Julie.
We are sad to be leaving Maui but as soon as we get home I plan on booking our next trip and staying at this condo.

Bucket List Achieved
This condo was all that we hoped for. The proximity to pool, ocean, resteraunt and other family was perfect. The condo was clean, and the many extras, from soaps to any item required for fun in the sun. The patio was perfect for having that morning coffee.
Working with Arthur while planning this trip was worry free, directing us every step of the way and supplying a wonderful list of things to do, etc. prior to our arrival. You will not be disappointed with this condo or the owner, great destination!

My husband, myself and our 2 year old daughter stayed here for 8 nights in November. This was our 5th time to Maui in 5 years and this was by far our favourite place. This was our first time staying in Kaanapali Shores.
From the very first email I sent inquiring about availability, the entire process of booking, paying and receiving our information for arrival was seamless. Arthur was easy to work with. On our arrival we were very happy with the condition of the condo. It is fully renovated and beautiful inside. You can easily tell this condo is well cared with a lot of thought and care put into maintaining it. I loved the modern feel to it, but still with a nice Hawaiian touch in terms of decor. We had requested a crib, but on arrival found there was not one. However, upon phoning the Island contact person (Julie) we had a crib set up within 20 minutes happily at 9 pm.
The location of the condo is fabulous. Literally 65 steps from the beach as advertised. 20 steps away from the pool and directly across from a restaurant, which is very convenient for those mornings when you want a nice breakfast. The beach out front was beautiful. It is also a quick drive too Whaler's village (or a 45 minute walk along a nice beach path) and also close to other stores, restaurants and Times Market are literally right across the street.
The nicest touch of all though was how well stocked the condo was. Beach toys, chairs, snorkelling equipment, laundry (with soap too!), spices etc were all in the condo when we arrived. Having stayed in other condo's where this wasn't available, I knew how much money we saved not having to buy salt, pepper, steak spice etc. Having beach toys for our daughter was great too. The DVD library was a nice touch as well.
You will not be disappointed in this condo. We intend on using this condo as long as availability allows for all future trips to Maui.

We got married at the Kaanapali Shores in April 2013 so decided to bring the family back to this wonderful resort during whale season. We are a family of 6 and we found plenty of room for all of us in this condo. We knew that at times it would be a chore sharing a bathroom for all six of us but the restaurant bathrooms are right next to the unit across a walking path so that helped.
We found the unit spotlessly clean and exactly as it was described to us but I don't think the pictures quite do it justice. The updating is extremely well done and the furnishings very tasteful. The owner/manager Arthur does a great job. I am also a VRBO owner (367619) so I appreciate good management. Arthur hits all the major items (value, quality, cleanliness, location convenience) and throws in a lot of perks too! He provides boogie boards and snorkeling gear, coffee, soap and shampoo, a selection of DVD movies, the list goes on. He also provides helpful recommendations for local dining and activities and was responsive in answering all our questions.
The condo's location is excellent, on the ground floor right next to the pool and restaurant and a few steps from the ocean. The convenience of a ground floor unit is hard to overstate. You walk right out of your lanai sliding glass doors to the grass, pool, and beach. It's great to be able to easily pop in and out for a fresh drink, snack, etc. when hanging out at the pool or beach.
We spent our first few days in Hana so we went straight to Costco after picking up our rental car and then dropped by there again on our way to Kaanapali Shores. We mostly ate breakfast and lunch in the condo, but we went out for dinner at Leilani's at Whaler's Village (always great). We walked to Duke's at nearby Honua Kai for dinner another night, had a get a second crack at Hula Pie. For breakfast one morning we enjoyed cooking our own pancakes at Slappy Cakes right across the street from Kaanapali Shores. We also drove into Lahaina one evening for amazing shave ice.
I highly recommend this property for an amazing overall experience, for its many amenities, and its helpful and personable host Arthur. I don't know of a better value to be had on Maui.

We loved our vacation stay in this room. We had a party of 5 and there was plenty of room for everybody. We loved how close we were to the pool, the beach and the restaurant. We also loved the extras such as the body board, snorkeling equipment, appliances, and coolers for beach days. We had a small problem with the safe in the room and within 10 minutes Julie was there to help. If you are considering this resort for your stay I'd reccommend this room and the owner. The room is fabulous and the owner is so easy to deal with along with his on island staff.

I just want to give a quick feedback on our stay at the Kaanapali Shores , first all the good, Great location in regards to next to pool, ground floor(generally our boys like to stay up higher but even they admitted they liked being just a few steps from pool). Unit was very nicely updated throughout with fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, the owner Arthur definitely tries to provide all the essentials to make your stay as affordable and convenient as possible.
We had other family stay in another unit which was no where as nice as ours, not updated, nor was it on ground floor, they came into our unit and were very jealous as to the difference.
Owner is very easy to work with and even sends out an introduction packet with suggestions of things to do and see, which was very helpful.
Overall Great stay, and would definitely choose same unit on our next stay.

Oh I forgot the bad, there was none, except that our trip had to end.

We were so impressed with your condo, it truly set the tone for a wonderful first trip to Maui! The condo is fully equipped, beautiful, modern, a very comfortable bed and it's ideally located. Then there are all the little things that you think of, which end up being truly big things. Spices/condiments in the kitchen, beach gear, first aid kit and the extensive list of places to see/things to do. We've shared our fantastic experience at your condo with everyone who has asked about our trip. We highly recommend this VRBO! We wished we had booked this as our only condo while in Maui, unfortunately the other VRBO did not come close to the high standards of this Kaanapali Shores condo.
