Great stay for family of 9 ages 4-73. Beautiful apartment (though there is some wear and tear). Comfortable beds. Appreciated the provided beach chairs, sand toys, and games. Easy check in process and the complex has great amenities and a good beach. Good communication with the owner through VRBO though I must comment that on our 2nd day of the trip I got an email that my reservation had been cancelled and when I called to see what was going on only after 10min of being on hold found out that email was because that specific company no longer had a relationship with the owner and therefore was no longer managing my stay and therefore it was “cancelled” in their system (it was managed by another property management company).
Only other comments- Water pressure is a bit too strong in the showers. Kitchen needs more utensils.

Very clean and accommodating. Great communication with the owner. Beautiful views and constant breeze where condo is situated. We had a lovely time. Breakfast on the lanai every morning was peaceful and views breathtaking. Will definitely recommend and return someday.

Walked in and looked like online pictures. Looked closer and furniture/chairs/ carpet was filthy. Some of the chairs were a bit broken. Whoever does the cleaning the floors and outdoor patio were filthy dirty and all of us needed shoes on the entire time or your feet were black!!
Beds were good in all rooms…extra towels instead on 1 per person would have been great as there were NO rugs on any floor except the dirty one in family room which no one could sit on.
All and all the location, view were wonderful

Entire 3-generation family of 6 people loved the spacious condo, loved the easy access to the beach and location in West Maui, loved the views at all times of day. Condo was well-stocked and had all necessary appliances and utensils. Very comfortable sleeping and seating accommodations. Would certainly stay again!

You could not ask for more with this condo. It's spacious, clean, modern and has an amazing view.
The property itself is well maintained and up to date. There are several pools and hot tubs. Duke's is a nice restaurant (but pricey).
The beach was nice and we saw many unique fish while snorkeling.
I couldn't recommend this enough!

Even though Maui in Feb was only 70-80 degrees with some high winds and crazy swells, Honoa Kai still had it all. Snorkeling on nice days when safe, surfing on bad weather days for the experienced surfers, great pool options for all, close to shopping and great food with in 5-25mins away. This was the second time we stay here and will do it again for sure.

The Condo was spacious and clean. Although there were 9 of us staying there, you wouldn’t know it. There was plenty of room for getting together. The parking garage allowed easy access via elevator to our condo. The community property was beautiful and the swimming pools and ocean were enjoyed everyday. There were plenty of beach chairs for us to use as well as sand toys for the kids.
My only disappointment was the refrigerator, which was out of date with no water option and the ice maker was broken, property management brought us bags of ice which helped.

This was a beautiful 3 BR, 3Bath condo. The deck had beautiful views of the ocean. It was nicely located within walking distance to a few restaurants. It was nice having Dukes Restaurant on site for easy access for food and drinks. The kitchen was well supplied for the meals that we chose to prepare ourselves. The beach out from was nice to hang out on and the beach was very walkable in both directions. The pool appeared to be nice, although we did not use it. There were 6 adults in our party and we felt we had plenty of room to spread out and even get away for a little quiet time if need be, within the condo. We would definitely stay here again.

This is an absolutely stunning condo! The View is so spectacular its hard to leave. We would definitely stay again. We had everything we needed for our group of 8. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved that it also had a beverage cooler. The hall closet even had sand toys, beach chairs and a cooler. The washer and dryer were great to have and it was nice having access to a vacuum when we need one. We loved this place and Shafeeq was awesome to work with.

We loved our stay at HK 829!! The beach is beautiful. Great snorkeling right
Off the beach and waves for boogie boarding. Both pools were nice and having Dukes take out is so convenient. The condo is really clean and nice. Plenty of space on the lanai to hang out and enjoy the gorgeous Maui weather and sunsets. The kitchen is well-stocked as is the “beach closet”. There are boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, umbrellas and other things you need for a comfortable day at the beach. We loved it and will go back!

We usually spend some time at a 5-star resort in Mexico each winter. This condo was equally as good. The location right on the beach made it easy to enjoy the ocean every day, and we utilized Dukes restaurant on the property several times. Although we had booked for ten, we ended up with six family members staying, and the condo was roomy enough for everyone to have private space when they needed it.

Totally enjoyed this property! It was very clean, top of the line appliances, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, tvs in all rooms, plenty of paper towels, trash can liners, toilet paper, books, games, well stocked kitchen and wonderful views and a spacious balcony. My family very much enjoyed this unit( we ranged in age from 9-67). Host was quick to answer any question I had. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return!

This resort is close to shopping, having the Duke Restaurant right there was the best. The pool just gorgeous. We has a group of 8 and the whole trip was amazing, get on the plane today!

We had a wonderful stay here! The unit is gorgeous, even better than the pictures, with sweeping ocean views from every single window. This was our first time renting this specific unit, but our third time at Honua Kai. The unit was perfect and a 5 star experience, but I’m giving it 4 stars due to some issues with Honua Kai. At least 3-4 times during our 7 day stay they did not have any clean towels available down by the pool for half the day and one day it was all day. We also had an issue with security where they refused to let me leave a unit key for my husband (he came in a few days later than us) because his name wasn’t on the reservation. We have the same last name and I went down with my ID and asking them if I could leave him a key. Frustrating inconveniences. All in all, loved the unit and the location is great but I’m not sure we’d stay at Honua Kai again.

We loved staying at Honua Kai and this condo is one of their best. Nicely decorated, separate baths for each bedroom, two main suites, a fully equipped kitchen, beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. And the coffee downstairs was delicious! We would definitely stay here again!

Great time at the property. The condo is very comfortable and has everything you need if you have kids (sand toys/chairs, pack and play) for a great trip. The sunset and beach view was awesome. You’re high enough up that you get an unobstructed view. Pool was great for our kids. Beach was fun for the kids to play on but was tough to swim because of rocks. But many other nice beaches within a short drive. Would definitely come back.

From the moment we walked in the door we were in love. The views are incredible and we watched the sunset many nights from the lanai. You can relax listening to the music amped from Duke’s during sunset and then gaze at the stars afterwards. The owner was very communicative and the place is just as described on VRBO. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our 2nd time staying at Honua Kai Resort & Spa, great family oriented resort with awesome play pools & slide for the kiddos and Duke's which was one of our favorite evening dinners, Seafood Risotto was the Best!! Close to Lahaina and Napali Bay where we spent most of our play time on the beach & surf. Only con would be initial arrival having difficulty with property mgmt addressing some of our condo needs and too much time spent attempting to locate our reservation when in the end it was booked under the owners name and my family on the 'Guest Tab'. By 3rd day all issues addressed and we all had another awesome vacation! Thank You Shafeeq for sharing your beautiful condo!

Shafeeq was very welcoming to his condo (#829 Honua Kai) eighth floor center with a wonderful view of the grounds, ocean beyond, and evening sunsets. The unit was clean and well supplied, including a closet full of beach stuff. We were 5 adults and 2 kids and found the space perfect for our needs. During our stay, we had an issue with the freezer which was remedied in good order by the property manager.

I can't even begin to describe this amazing vacation in this condo in Maui!! The oceanfront view from his lovely balcony beckoned us every morning for renewal and anticipation of our glorious day.. And the sunsets from this balcony over the ocean were magnificent!
We have 6 people, and it's been perfectly comfortable and luxurious!!
The great things to do here in Maui are endless, and the restaurants are over the top!! Duke's Restaurant right here at this resort is a sought out restaurant for people in Maui.
We are already planning our next trip to this exact resort and condo!

Our experience could not have been better! Owner was very responsive, property manager was prompt and thorough. Condo had all of the essentials and a bunch of extras! Sand toys for my little one, snorkel gear for the family, beach chairs, towels and even a cooler. The pictures do not do this properly justice, it is way better! Very roomy, beds were top notch and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to do a little cooking and they even provided us with complimentary coffee. Also really close to the Kapalua airport so getting there was really easy since we started our vacation in Honolulu. I highly recommend this one!

This was our second visit to Honua Kai! This unit by far is the BEST! The owner was very pleasant to work with and very responsive. I had previously inquired with several other owners or property managers on other units and got zero responses. The online calendar is kept updated as well. Shafeeq responded almost instantly as well as followed up prior to our visit and calling to check how we were doing during our visit. You could tell he genuinely cared about our experience in his home. The unit itself is stunning! The pictures do not do it justice! It's 10X better in person! The unit is well maintained and stocked with everything including extra towels, beach toys and beach chairs and a cooler. We had three couples plus two kids and there was plenty of room. We never felt cramped. What we appreciated was that one of the bedrooms had two queen beds, plus the other two bedrooms have a king in each room. No one had to sleep on the couch. We did have concern about the construction going on the property next door, but it never bothered us nor did we really hear it. The property manager who provides the keys and tour upon arrival was great too! They called during our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and even offered to mail us something we had accidentally left behind. We loved the option of staying in and cooking meals as well as Dukes! And the best part of all was the 180 degree views of the ocean! We have never seen so many whales! Each day we would see 15-20 whales from the lanai. We will stay here again for sure! It is a beautiful home and it was our favorite trip by far!

Enjoyed the beautiful condo and the gracious host, Shafeeq. The property is very family friendly so for someone travelling without kids, might be a bit much as to noise and activity. The pools, the property staff, all incredibly nice and hospitable. The beach swimming was rough because of the rocky drop off. Went to other beaches to enjoy swimming and snorkeling. Great time!

Honua Kai is a amazing review. Gigantic property at a great location with amazing pools and perfectly manicured beach close to stunning snorkeling.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is two fold. One, the bedroom hears a lot of elevator noise from it going up and down. Can be quite bothersome for a light sleeper like me. Two, the bathroom is small and needs to be updated. No bathroom access from master bath. But the kitchen is wonderful and the view spectacular.

Our family stayed here for 8 days in July. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The unit was super clean, had an amazing view of the mountains, and it had all of the amenities we needed for our vacation. The owner answered every email and call with all of my questions, and the management company met us at the door to show us around. I would recommend the Honua Kai and our unit to anyone looking for a beautiful Maui location. The snorkeling out front was spectacular and the restaurant, Duke's, was our "go to" restaurant when we were tired from our travels and just wanted to stay close for the night. We would definitely go back again!

A ton of positives to this resort and condo. The entrance to the resort is amazing! My family of 4 found the snorkeling right in front of the resort, to be some of the best on the island. Within an hour of arriving at Honua Kai, we snorkeled and saw every fish from Finding Nemo, including Crush the turtle. The pools at the resort are perfect for the entire family, and we all went down the water slide. If you are a runner, just hit the beach walk right in front of the resort, and head south. If you do the whole out and back on the beach walk/run, you will get about 6 miles, and then head back to the lobby for pineapple infused ice water. The gym at the Honua Kai, had excellent equipment. The only down side to the 10th floor room, was some elevator noise when others were traveling to the 10th floor. This must be a new noise, and Shafeeq is on top of making sure it is short lived. Shafeeq made us feel as if we were his friends, who were staying at his place. Super easy to talk to, and very thorough in making sure every detail was taken care of. The bed was super comfortable, beautiful linens, and the condo was very clean. If you are into boogie boarding, head to DT Flemming beach, just north of the Honua Kai. A very clean, and beautiful, public beach with the most excellent waves. There is a grocery store with in walking distance from the condo, and Dukes restaurant is perfect for a dinner out.

This Condo is Awesome. The owner is such a great guy! I truly enjoyed my stay. The floor I was on was so quiet! The staff at front desk were friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed Dukes restaurant as well as exploring the market on the premises and local grocery store along with fruit stands in the area. I wish I could've stayed longer. I felt like home away from home:-)

We are a family of Four and the condo was perfect and the amenities were great. The pools were amazing, snorkeling at the beach in front of resort was some of the best around. The facilities were clean and beautiful with great views of ocean and mountains. The resort was great for families with younger children. I highly recommend !!!!!
