Great place other than one issue.Only major downside was having to reset the AC timer every 2.5 hours at night. I feel so sleep deprived. The house would turn into a sauna as soon as the AC timed out. And took an hour to cool down again. It made for very long uncomfortable nights.

We picked this property due to proximity to a beach we love. In fact, it is right across the street. Close to shopping and a short bike ride to the main Kona tourist areas. Great location, great property, would do it again.

We absolutely loved our stay. The unit was clean and comfortable and really lovely, and the location across from an incredible beach for snorkeling and surfing could not possibly be better. We snorkeled a few times a day, and a few of us tried out surfing. It was really lovely being able to shower off outside afterward and then enjoy the pool and hot tub as well. Literally the only thing that I would add to this unit is an inexpensive drying rack for the balcony. We were traveling with another family, who rented a similar unit below us and that also really worked out well. Mahalo for a beautiful stay!

This condo was great for the two of us. We each had a bathroom and plenty of closet space. We loved that it is outfitted with everything you need. We used the cooler and beach chairs a lot. Inside eating is limited to the counter, and the stools are too high and hard. Otherwise, it was very nice.

Our family of 5 (9, 12 and 14) stayed here for 4 days. The kitchen was well set, the rooms and bed set up was great, there were beach / pool towels and some snorkel and fin gear. The walk to the beach was 2 minutes and there were turtles, great snorkeling and some surf. We would definitely stay here again.

The condo was great, spacious enough for 2 couples to move around without being on top of each other. Location is literally right across the street from beach park with great snorkeling. There is a great view from the lanai! Nice amenities like beach chairs, umbrellas. People should know that once you are south of Kona, Alii drive is adjacent to the ocean so you will have a road between homes and the beach. We were aware and had no issue with this because the view was still epic and the price very reasonable for Big island lodging but someone in our party was surprised by this from the photos. Also right down the road from a shopping center with a grocery store and drug store, dining options, coffee shops and even a farmers market, which proved very useful and let us experience the area like locals, which is how we like to go. Hosts were actually staying in the condo next door, were very nice but entirely unobtrusive. Oh, nice pool too.

Such a lovely stay here at the condo. It's so beautiful inside and had everything we needed and more! We ate 60% of our meals within the condo and still didn't find use for most of the things the condo comes equipped with.
Cooler, chairs and sun umbrella were clutch!
We did love the location to the snorkeling beach but overall wished we were closer to things we ended up doing (volcanos, hapuna beach, waterfalls). Still, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Beds were pretty comfy and being able to do your laundry was a real plus!

We liked this place except for the usual quirks that baby boomers don't usually deal with like no key to the pool, changing the pool key to a lock box code without notification. A/C didn't work the last day.

Second time we’ve stayed at this property. We love the quieter end of Ali’i Drive. Located right across the street from excellent snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach. Just a short drive up to Kailua-Kona shopping/restaurants, or south for shopping, dining, golf in Keauhou. And no review would be complete without mentioning the fact that Jason & Rachel are the best hosts ever!

My family love snorkeling and being able to walk across the street in the early morning to beat the crowd is great. A shopping plaza is just 3 min drive has some good dining options and grocery.

Our family with two young toddlers recently stayed at this condo, and it was an absolute dream! The location couldn’t have been better – just steps away from the beach, which made it so convenient for morning strolls and sunset views. The lanai was the perfect spot to unwind after a day in the sun, with the most breathtaking view of the sunset every evening. Watching the sky change colors from the comfort of the condo was truly magical.
The space itself was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living area was cozy and inviting. The beach gear provided (chairs, towels, umbrella) was a nice touch and made our beach days even better.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, beachside retreat. I can’t wait to come back!

This property couldn't have been any better. Of all of the places I have rented, this was the most equipped with everything anyone could want or need. Plenty of towels, plates, dishes, electronic chargers... you name it. Chad was most helpful to us in getting us in the unit early. I would stay here again and again! Thank you Chad!

Ground floor description is not accurate. There is a flight of stairs down to the unit. The ONE TV is not a smart TV and requires 3 remotes to operate. The thermostat is either controlled remotely or broken. It kept turning completely off and trying to reset itself. Messages to the owner/property manager about these issues went unanswered.

We stayed the week here for our first trip to Hawaii! The house is beautiful and everything we needed for the week was there. It is steps from the beach and perfectly located behind Kahalu'u Bay Surf and Sea. They had everything that we needed to try out all of the activities on the beach. Ben made sure everything was ready and was incredibly responsive to any questions. Including the best surfing times.
Christopher at the shop was always friendly and helpful. We took surfing lessons and Eli and Tony were amazing instructors. They taught our whole landlocked family how to catch waves.
This was the perfect stay and I hope to return soon!

The stay was very nice. The property manager was very responsive. We had a small issue with one of the smoke detectors kept beeping like a low battery. Reached out to the property manager and they came and replaced it.

This rental was a decent value per night and has some nice amenities, like the hot tub, pool and BBQ. The bathrooms were nice, but for some reason there was quite limited hot water. The furnishings were also nice. The guest bedroom mattress was very stiff though.

The condo was clean and sweet and very comfy. We enjoyed the weather, turned off the a/c turned on the fans and opened the doors for sweet plumeria scented tradewinds. The area is deeply historical, I encourage everyone even thinking about staying here to read about the heiau's across the street and the history of the immediate area, it is deeply enriching to the experience. The condo is right on ali'i drive (the main road) which was busier than I thought it would be so we had to laugh at the amount of road noise and daily leaf blowers, but it's been some time since I've stayed in Kona town. I grew up in Puna so it was the most "city" experience I've ever had on the island, but the ability to walk across the street to a very safe beach for snorkeling was totally worth it since I was there with multiple generations of family. Thank you to the ohana who rent out their condo, it was a very pleasant stay, very convenient, we spent all our time at the condo on the lanai. Mahalo!

We didnt want to leave and we want to go back already! We are a family of 5, with 3 young children. In addition to the beach, my husband and I enjoy nice restaurants, and being able to relax and enjoy a few drinks together in a nice atmosphere, shopping and exploring and doing family activities and things with the kids.
Gail's condo was 100% exactly what and where we needed it! It was spacious, clean, comfortable and well laid-out. It had everything we needed and more, including a gorgeous view from the lanai and a great pool and hot tub, that the kids really enjoyed. The location was fantastic and right across the street from a wonderful little beach, and a short drive from everything else we needed! The property manager was super helpful and our stay could not have gone better. We are so thankful that we found this location and highly recommend it to anyone, with or without kids. We stayed 7 nights at this great property. The condo was very well situated to walk across the road and enjoy world class snorkeling. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything that we could want. Having snorkeling gear here was a bonus so we didnt have to pack our own. They had beach towels, chairs, and coolers available in the condo for you to enjoy your day at the beach.
