Perfect place to stay. Thecsunsets were gorgeous, and we had the best spot to watch. The mornings were just about a good, seeing the sun come up and watching surfers out before it was light enough to see. Just perfect!

The property was well cared for and we absolutely loved the view. It was nice to have the pool and also the sandy area with loungers. Everything that we needed was available in the condo. We did eat breakfasts in the condo and it was nice for having our coffe on the Lanai. We also enjoyed being able to have cocktails and watch the sunsets. We saw many people using the grills. We never used them but talked to others that did and they said it was so convenient. It was really nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit and also beach towels and a couple chairs for the beach when we went off property.
My husband went for walks in the morning and said he thought this condo was better as some only had the lava rocks and no sand or chairs! Would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a convenient location and a great view!

We stayed for one week and thoroughly enjoyed the location and grounds. We enjoyed the beach area next to the ocean with the lounge chairs and bbq. It was a great area to watch the sunset. The other people staying in the complex were super friendly and we had great conversations one afternoon by the pool. The check-in process went flawlessly and the communication with the property manager was excellent. The unit itself had everything that we needed and the lanai had a great view of the pool and ocean.

Kona Isle is a great property to stay in, the grounds are beautiful the condo is very nice, has everything you need. The communication was great very easy check in, organized. Even though we didn’t use it, there was all kinds of snorkelling gear and beach chairs. The location was central and close to all things that we wanted to see and do. This our second time on Hawai’i Island but first time in a Knutson managed property. The condo we rented was in a nice location. It has an awesome ocean view. At least three occasions we watched dolphins in the ocean from our lanai. The dolphin “shows” alone were worth the price of admission.The unit itself was clean and fairly well maintained. Knutson offered help if we needed it. There were no issues that required immediate attention or affected our stay. Yes, we would recommend a Knutson managed property to our friends.

Pictures and description matched the in-person experience. I appreciated the beach materials and cookware available to make the stay convenient for all activities! At one point we thought we were locked out on the patio but the owner was responsive and immediately helped resolve the issue. Hoping the washer is cleaned d/t mildew smell, but everything else was great and we would stay there again!

This was a great condo to come back to after a day of exploring to watch the sunsets over the water. There is an area right on the property at the shore with sand and chairs behind a seawall of black lava rocks from which to watch the sunsets or night sky. My wife saw whales from there. There are barbeques there as well. People there are very friendly to newcomers. It was very quiet there in the evenings and night.
This place has a dedicated parking spot like everyone else appears to have so there was enough parking to go around for all. Nobody else was ever parked in our spot.
Inside the condo it was clean and has some tasteful Hawaii décor to help get you in the local spirit.
It's well stocked with everything you'd imagine a condo would have such as towels, dishes, frying pans, etc. It was great to have food in the fridge, and do some cooking there to save on the restaurant time and bills.
We found the body surfing boards and took one out to Kua Bay and our son says the body surfing was the best part of the whole trip!
The host Michael proactively contacted me a few days before we arrived to let me know the check-in process and how to access the keys to the condo.
If we return to Hawaii in a few years we'll stay there again if this condo is still available.

We had a wonderful stay here for 2 weeks. The unit itself was exactly as described; light and airy decor, well stocked kitchen and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the lanai every morning and evening. The sunset view is amazing! We also really liked spending time by the pool and on the lounges under the trees, listening to the waves.
The condo complex is very conveniently located, close to beaches, restaurants and stores.
We enjoyed every minute and would love to visit again!

We have stayed at Kona Isle before and love the location. We loved that this unit is on the ground floor, but it had some problems. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, but unfortunately it was TINY (the washer/dryer in the kitchen took up a lot of space). Very little counter space and only 1 person could fit at a time. The old electric stove was either too hot or not hot enough. The air conditioner was LOUD--you had to speak loudly to be heard over it. The king bed made the bedroom feel too small. Overall, clean, well-stocked, but VERY SMALL. The 2 of us felt cramped--I would never attempt to have more than 2 in this place.

Property listing indicated the unit was air conditioned. This was definitely not accurate. There was a portable air conditioner in the bedroom but nothing in the rest of the unit. It was miserably hot, over 80 degrees, in the unit the entire trip despite the use of multiple fans. Almost to the point of being unbearable. We would have asked to move but were there during Iron Man so knew there wouldn’t be anything available.

Have stayed at this properly several times before but not in this particular unit. Ground floor convenient for use of pool, shoreline relaxation, and proximity to bbq. Whoops , forgot to mention sunsets. Although there wasn’t air conditioning, unit had 3 overhead fans, and a portable oscillating fan that kept condo very comfortable. Appreciated extra large side by side refrigerator/ freezer. Well appointed furniture and tasteful touches. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We really enjoyed this property. Very clean and well kept. A couple of considerations however for those with mobility issues, this is a third floor unit with no elevator access. I have a bad knee and by the end of the trip my knee was shot from all the walking and sightseeing, so the stairs were a bit of a pain point for me. Also, the unit is beautiful and we really enjoyed the view from the lanai, but the windows for the bedroom are louvered windows and do let quite a bit of sound in from outside, so if you're a light sleeper, I recommend running white noise on your phone or running the fan on a higher setting. The beach chairs in the closet, and the cooler that was available made our stay a lot easier to plan without having to worry about renting or purchasing things we would need to leave behind. Also want to add that Knutson and Associates was fantastic to work with, and provided such clear instructions for making our stay as worry free as possible. They also provided ample communication to ensure our needs were met.

Our stay was very nice. A few suggestions -
The shower head and 1/2 shower door was different. The floors were always wet and difficult to get a 'good' shower. Strange not to have a bathroom fan.
Additional TV Instructions, other than local TV, would have been helpful.
Washer/Dryer instructions would have been helpful. Strange that it would take 3 hours to do one load. Not sure about the hole behind the washer/dryer, but we did end up with one cockroach.
Instructions for the dishwasher would have also been helpful. We handwashed everything and never needed the dishwasher. It was at your request to run it.
The homeless encampment was a bit uncomfortable at first but we learned to deal with it.
Very disappointed that there was not a recycling location on the premises.
ALL in all D1 was wonderful and we would rent it again.

However, the condo was just barely clean; the shower had sand and hair in it, the baseboards look like they’ve never been cleaned, the floors will turn your feet black, the light fixtures have layers of dust. It’s a great deal for the price but if you’re looking for clean, this isn’t your spot.

My husband treated me to week-long stay for my birthday. It was wonderful! The pride of ownership is obvious as the condo is beautifully updated and was as depicted in the photos. We especially enjoyed the sunsets while grilling next to the shore. The location is perfect and there is a bus stop next door if you don't feel like walking (although we walked often, the bus is free and we took it from the airport). The only problem we had was that we had to go home. We plan to stay for a longer period next time.

My family and I loved staying at Kona Isla C38! I looked for several weeks for a beautiful rental and am so glad I chose this rental. Knutson staff were extremely professional, prompt, and helpful with all my questions. The rental was beautiful and clean with all the amenities we needed. We only needed to bring our pick of groceries! The additional mini fridge on the balcony was great for keeping our drinks cold while we enjoyed the gorgeous view of the water and sunsets from our balcony lanai. The beds were very comfortable, the space was roomy with a classy and comfy design throughout. The shower also had nice pressure and lots of hot water.The air-conditioning worked well as did the fans. It took me 30 years to return to Hawaii and this place was a perfect location to spend a very relaxing month. The grounds were well kept up with a very nice pool area in addition to a sandy area under palm trees right next to the water where I could sit in a chair and watch the sunset. The outside grill area was clean and easy to use with tables to eat at as well. The manager on site was very pleasant and helpful. Having a designated parking spot was also a plus because we could come and go without worry about finding parking when we returned. My whole family loved staying here!

The view, sunsets and location can't be beat. Perfect size for two guests. Only 2 things that need improvement and it would be perfect. The bath towels need improvement - they are very worn and stained. The bedroom is too hot. The A/C in the unit is located in the living room and cool air does not reach the bedroom which is located in the back of the unit. The bedroom needs a portable A/C - fans do not keep it cool enough.

Had all our "checklist" items except a dishwasher. Cozy condo on the ground level. Easy access to the community's pool. The beachfront has plenty of seating for sunning, shade for spending a quiet time reading, and grills which we utilized for our own 'restaurant' made meals. We recommend this rental. This condo is in an older complex (Kona Isle) but had a remodeled kitchen, bathroom and nice tile floors. Condo has AC and plenty of fans.
