The rental unit was a 5/5. Clean, updated, A/C in both living room and bedroom worked well, had many kitchen and beach items, and the view from the lanai was wonderful. Loved this unit. It was located right on the water and had the perfect ocean view. NOTE: There is no beach access at this property but their is a pool. Overall, the property was well maintained and close to everything; restaurants, shops, beachlets, parks, grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. Nice and quite too. We loved our 6 nights at this special spot. We arrived very late so waking up the next morning was a beautiful welcome. Very quiet small complex which is exactly what we were looking for as we needed to decompress from our work schedule.
The unit is great, every we needed and then some and the bonus of having a/c was a great way to live comfortably during our visit.
We would come back and stay again on our next visit.
Can't go wrong with this space and location.

We didn’t spend a lot of time at the condo but it was a great location to return to each night. Condo was exactly as described. It was only myself and another adult. The condo sleeps 4 people. I probably wouldn’t stay here with my kids as there are quiet hours and children are only allowed to play on specific areas of the property. I loved that there were lots of extras! Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas etc. Kitchen also had everything we needed. Betty and Mike take a lot of pride in their property and it shows. They were great about answering all our questions as they came up. Condo is close to restaurants/food trucks. Beaches are within mins depending on what kind you are looking for. Overall it was a really great experience and I would recommend staying here and I would stay here again myself!

This was a great spot to stay in the Kona area. Minutes from shopping and restaurants and a great home base to explore the island. The condo had everything you would need provided from towels, kitchen suppliers, and tons of beach gear (coolers, snorkels, umbrellas, and chairs). The grounds were great right on the ocean with a swimming pool. Access to beach front to explore the lava rock tide pools and access to the saltwater pool. We will be back when we return to Kona.

The location was great and the property well kept. We enjoyed sitting on the Lanai every night watching the sun set. The sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks was so relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was there are no curtains across the sliding glass doors. This took away from the privacy as people were able to see in during all times of the day.

We were impressed with the location on the ocean and the seating provided to relax near the waves and watch the sunset. The pool was nice and the location near the ocean was great.
The unit was great, plenty of space for the two of us. Lots of nice touches like laundry detergent, sunscreen, makeup station. Having a washer/ dryer was great, too. We will definitely try to reschedule here on our visit.

My husband and I loved our stay here. It was the perfect location & had the convenience of being close to restaurants & activities. You are in the more touristy area of the island but this condo was very quiet and well maintained!
The owner has snorkel gear, an ice chest and beach chairs also provided if you choose to use them. We felt the pictures provided are an accurate representation of their condo.
We loved having coffee & breakfast on the lanai everyday followed by happy hour in the evenings.

The tile shower area was nice and clean. The kitchen and living area were more spacious than expected. Loved that it had a washer and dryer. Somehow, I didn't realize that was available until we got there. They also provided an assigned parking space. The balcony deck was the perfect place to have several barbecued meals. Floors were filthy and sticky. Owners ask you to remove shoes, which I appreciate. After walking barefoot in apartment feet were black with dirt. Had to foot wash every night before going to bed or putting on shoes.
Bathroom floor sticky, looks like cleaner only users swifter mop which makes floors sticky.
Towels were the worst!
View from sliding door/ lanai was the building across the lawn. If you walked out on grass area or one person sat in a far corner of the lanai closest to the grass, you could see the ocean.

First the bad: NOTHING! Now on to the good: Great location on Ali'i drive close to many beaches and shopping but just far enough from the pedestrian traffic. Perfect size for a couple and a well equipped kitchen (no oven though, but that wasn't an issue). Lots of beach equipment! Check-in was a breeze and simple. The first floor was a plus and you have a partial ocean view, but it's a quick 1 min walk to the pool and ocean viewing area with lots of tables and chairs. We have stayed at many condos globally and this one is top 3, especially for the price. Highly recommend and will stay again!

This condo was absolutely perfect for our 9-night stay!
It's just south of the little strip of restaurants & touristy shopping in "downtown" Kailua-Kona. It was a little further than what we would consider walking distance, but it's doable if that's your jam.
The condo is a 3rd floor walk-up and it's 2 buildings back from the parking lot. A bit of a haul with luggage/groceries/gear - but totally worth it once inside the condo! Absolutely beautiful views of the ocean from the moment you step inside! Ocean view from the kitchen/living area, ocean/property/mountain views from the lanai, the shower & the bedroom! And you can hear the ocean from everywhere, all the time. Even if you choose to use the A/C & close the windows & sliders.
The split A/C units (one in the living room, one in the bedroom) work very well & are quiet. We only used it at night & we were very comfortable. It was late June/early July; when it's not the middle of Summer the ocean breeze is probably enough to keep the unit comfortable.
The furniture is very comfortable, including the bed & pillows. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need. We had one maintenance issue but we contacted the property manager who responded within 10 minutes & the condo owner remedied the issue the next morning.
The condo complex is very quiet, very well taken care of & the small beachy area was an excellent place to hang out & catch the beautiful sunsets. Pool is nice & also well maintained.

We are from Australia and loved our stay. Hoping to come back in the future. The only negative was the location was different to the map on Expedia so we were 3km from the pier. But it was easy to check in, parking included and comfortable apartment. There was work happening on the stairs while we were there but that didn’t affect us. It’s good to see they are maintaining the property. It was great having an esky provided as we could take cold drinks on day trips. Kitchen had good cooking utensils.

We stayed for a week in June and it does get hot and humid in Kona. The place doesn’t have AC and is furnished with all the winter fabrics… The couch is covered in fleece blankets. We had to buy our own linen bedsheets because the original bedsheets are polyester and trap heat. The duvet is also very much heavy weighted and not meant for summer. The place has multiple fans so that helped.
Other than that the location is good, and having a kitchen is very handy. We did see some pests but that is inevitable in Hawaii.
The host is easy to reach and accommodating our request to move the dates of the reservation.
