Haena Beach Park is the access point for Tunnels beach, located roughly 700 yards to the east of the parking area. During the summer months when the ocean is calm Haena Beach Park can offer good swimming, but the beach is exposed to open ocean and has a temperamental beach break. Winter months seldom offer good swimming; instead most visitors will make the trek up the beach to Tunnels for snorkeling or wading in reef protected waters.
Haena Beach Park includes a camp ground and the beach is also supervised by life guards. The Maniniholo cave is across the street..
