Great condo, great location with pool. The check in process was difficult as the padlock code didn’t work, so we had to call Vacasa to get inside. Will book again if we decide to go to Kauai.

Rick has done a great job setting up a beautiful stay. We had everything we needed. We took the trail (starting close to the back porch) which leads all the way down to Wylie/Annini beach a few times. It's a bit of a hill but it's a very nice shaded walk with beautiful trees along the way.
Some people have mentioned about the hot water in the shower running out...that is to be expected, just don't take VERY long showers and space them out as a couple and you'll be fine.
We enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the mornings...it's very pleasant.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this compact condo! Rick has clearly gone to great lengths to provide everything vacationers could need from a small cooler chest for outings to a complete assortment of shower products and ample back up of tp and paper towels. The small kitchen set up was just right for prepping meals to cook on the grill by the pool. Overall great stay and we would book this unit again!

The home was very clean and it was clear that cleaning is thorough. Well appointed kitchen, every appliance, tool, storage, dish, etc that we needed was there. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of seating in the dining and living rooms. And so many hooks (and dressers, closet hangers) all over the home for hanging stuff- I often find that rentals lack this, and especially for a neach vacation (and a lot of wet stuff), that was so appreciated! It's a very short walk/hike to Anini Beach, and other public beaches are within a 10-20 minute drive. We also used the pool in the complex several times, it was great. There's a grill in the pool area, which we also used a few times.

We absolutely loved our visit at this apartment. It was incredibly well equipped with everything we could imagine that we would need for our stay - we especially appreciated the coffee machine, the washing machine/dryer, the snorkeling gear, the dishwasher, the relaxing porch, Scrabble, and the well stocked bathroom. The location is also so close to so many wonderful and useful places: Foodland, Farmers Market, beaches, wonderful local towns, ice cream, and so much more. The house had such an adorable, local, and relaxing feel. We felt instantly at home and did not want to leave. We would happily return!

The condo was perfect for our group of 6. It was clean and well appointed. We liked the location, within walking distince (if you don't mind going up/down short but steep trails) to two beaches, a grocery store and several eateries/coffee shops. We did do a fair amount of driving to explore other beaches and other parts of the island, but didn't have to. Communications with the host and house cleaner were great and they were helpful when we needed help finding extra sheets. I'd definitely stay here again.

My husband and I had a fantastic time staying at this apartment! It was in a quiet area (minus the chickens in the morning), but close enough that it was just a quick trip to Lihue or Hanalei. The kitchen was fully stocked with pans, plates, and anything you need to make meals - which we took advantage of. Communication with Rick was quick and easy. I know other reviews mention the lack of A/C - as long as you keep the windows open for airflow and turn the ceiling fan on, you will sleep great! Similar to the West Coast of the U.S., most of the island doesn't have A/C unless you are staying in a hotel.

Overall this was a very nice place to stay. The closest beach is a steep walk down a hill but it wasn't very hard to get to and it was lovely to be at. Roosters will wake you up at dawn but I think that is just a feature of the island.
My only complaints were the lack of air conditioning, which leaves the house feeling and smelling a little moist. Also, the walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors cough and sneeze through the walls.
Overall it was worth the price and a good value.

The location of this property was excellent. The unit was stocked with necessities such as dishwasher and washing machine pods. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans, dishes and dinnerware for our party of eight. The only thing that was missing were beach umbrellas and a few beach chairs. There was one beach umbrella but the bottom piece was missing. All in all this is a fabulous place to spend your Kauai vacation.

Positives: Beautiful updated space with a lovely lanai. Very clean. Well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Fantastic lighting. Spacious. Great shower in master bath. Good amenities. Strong wi-fi (if you have to work). Easy trash and recycling disposal. Great beach equipment. Plenty of towels. Good toiletries. It's just a really good space. Easy access to everything on the north shore.
Things to know (beyond owner's control): It can be noisy from both the street and other occupants. Harder to remain cool during day (so go to the beach or head out for a hike). Parking tough if you get in late, but not impossible by any means (would be better if people stopped taking two spots).
Areas for improvement: Again, this rental is near perfect, and I hope to stay here in the future. These are just a couple of things that would have made the stay actually perfect. A small stash of coffee to get started would have been nice. The towels may need a refresh soon because the damp air made them a little musty (they were definitely clean). A couple of power strips would be nice for charging, etc. Wiping down the tables on the patio in advance of arrival.
All in all, this was a wonderful stay and I very highly recommend this rental.

We had an amazing week-long stay at this great spot! It was five minutes from Hanalei Bay and an easy drive back to Lihue for the airport. The Princeville area has everything you could want. Short walk down to a public beach from the condo but basically private as we were down there in the mornings by ourselves to take in the calm ocean view. Our host, Tony, and his wife live downstairs and we're so welcoming and accommodating while we were there. They even helped us celebrate my wife's birthday which ended up being his also! Just lovely people. This was a perfect spot for us to come home to after days of hiking, surfing, snorkeling and many other activities. Two minutes from the shops, store and restaurants at Princeville. Will stay there again!!

The property is very conveniently located with lots of great snorkeling and hiking nearby. The property contained everything we needed to cook meals, It was very clean, comfortable and ready for our arrival. There is a large veranda with comfortable seating. The pool is large and well maintained. The landscaping is lovely. I would stay there again on a future visit.

This unit was nearly perfect for our stay. The unit is in a secluded and quiet area. All the amenities were a great addition, such as a kitchen, in-unit laundry, and even beach chairs and snorkels.
The only cons were the lack of A/C. There were a lot of fans but it still didnt feel comfortable to sleep at night with the heat. The shower also runs out of hof water by the time a second person is halfway thru their shower, so you have to shower quickly.
Overall, we did really enjoy our stay here and would come again!

My husband and I vacationed in Kauai for the 3rd time in 6 years. We got married in Poipu in 2018 and fell in love with the island. This trip was our 2nd time staying on the North shore and it did not disappoint.
Hoku Lani was perfect for us. The location and property were wonderful. There are so many beaches within a short drive of the property. There is a beautiful golf course within walking distance. There is also shopping with a grocery store, post office and restaurants within a mile. We walked there a couple times during our stay.
We highly recommend Hideaway Pizza, Happy Talk lounge at Hanaoei Bay Resort and 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. The Sugarcane Blaze cocktai at 1 Hotel Hanalei is a Must try. If you love Mexican food, try Pacos Tacos in Kapaa…muy delicioso. I had the chicken taco salad and my husband had the carnitas burrito. Both were excellent!
There are so many places I could recommend but I’d run out of room to write :)
The hosts, Tony and Judith were very hospitable and friendly. The condo provided all the amenities to enjoy while at the beach or pool. The pool is very close and water temperature perfect.
We spent every morning relaxing on the balcony while drinking our coffee. Overall, Great condo, location and entire stay. Aloha

The property is just perfect for an extended stay. The unit has a bedroom area, living room area, Lanai, and full kitchen with washer and dryer and full size refrigerator. It makes it possible to shop for groceries and do at home meals; a huge boon in Princeville.
The decorations are very Hawaii and make the whole place feel like a home away from home.
Having stayed at several VRBOs, this is one of the best for a couple to have a peaceful romantic respite.
