Overall, the location of the property is great, and property is spacious and comfortable. That being said, it is described as a "luxury" property, which is inaccurate – the property has a dated feel and the appliances are old. Our major problem was with the host, who was very difficult to communicate with and adversarial at times. We were unable to locate the beach towels, after looking everywhere we contacted the host, who suggested places to look. The beach towels were not on the property so the host sent the cleaners to deliver beach towels. We were then told the “beach towels had been there the whole time” (which they had NOT been) and that we were going to be charged for the cleaner’s time. Furthermore, there was a pair of laundered underwear that was not ours attached to one of the towels. I sent a picture of this to the host, and he reported me to VRBO. They then took the cleaner’s fee from our damage deposit. It was the strangest interaction with a host I’ve ever had. We rent out our own property frequently and are very relaxed guests, so this was surprising and ultimately left us feeling irritated on our holiday. I would not recommend staying at this property.

Wonderful property in the perfect location. Easy check-in, clean and well-cared-for property which was thoughtfully stocked with helpful items such as beach blankets, reusable shopping bags, and a wide range of kitchen appliances. A plus was the close proximity to the pool and hot tub-2 min walk! We would stay here again.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this wonderful home in Princeville!
The perfect location for all of our excursions on the north side of Kauai.
Wonderfully spacious living area for our five adult family members.
Two large master bedrooms were perfect for the two married couples. The third bedroom was perfect for the one single but could easily accommodate a couple.
The host is fantastic.
An absolutely wonderful experience all in all!

A great place for a family of six to enjoy our annual vacation at a location that we love (Princeville). The spacious condo was well equipped for cooking as well as playing, including beach gear. Our only gripes were a minor maintenance issue on our first day and the proximity to the street. On the whole, we would return to this property and recommend it.

This place was unbelievable for our family of four adults and our two young toddlers. We loved the neighborhood and the location was very close to Princeville and Hanalei, which we went to everyday. We loved all the snorkel gear and the boogie boards that were available. They also made sure there was a pack and play for us to borrow for our youngest. We explored several nearby beaches and hikes and loved how close we were to a few excellent sunset lookouts. Overall, an amazing stay and Jason was very responsive!

Location was great, close to Hanlei Bay with beaches and shops. We enjoyed the balcony with a great view of the mountain.
The beds were comfortable and we were so glad to have AC in the two kind size bedrooms. The full bedroom did not have AC but the ceiling fans were powerful.

Kauai Vacation Rentals has many properties that they manage well. We have now stayed in three total that they manage. The process is easy and the staff is capable, professional and full of Aloha. This townhome we recently stayed in was three stories and had steps but we had packed pretty light and didn’t have much to carry up or down. This home just had a brand new refrigerator delivered as we were leaving and all other appliances worked well. The coffee maker is a drip and there are the appropriate filters in a cabinet.The king-size bed was very comfortable. Bring shampoo, there is none provided. You park your vehicle in the garage, so a smaller vehicle would be easier to maneuver in and out of the single car garage. Beach chairs and even a cart was located in the garage. A great stay.

It was a nice place. Unfortunately one of the showers had trouble with the hot water, the condo was not very clean upon arrival and there were some issues with water bugs/roaches on the counters and floors the first two nights.
After some deep cleaning and putting out traps we had fewer bug issues the rest of our trip. Overall we liked the location, the condo, and the amenities. The communication with the owner was great and the check in/out process was easy.

This property was fantastic! Beautifully decorated with a modern Hawaiian vibe, it was clean and well-organized, ensuring all the comforts you need. The two master bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, although the smaller room isn’t. The neighborhood is quiet, aside from the local roosters who make themselves heard early in the morning. The condo is conveniently close to a grocery store, numerous restaurants, and local shopping spots. The drive to Hanalei was both short and scenic. We highly recommend this property and are eager to return ourselves.

Everything was wonderful with one exception: the hot tub in the pool area was closed the entire time with orange cones. Could not reach the local property manager to even ask about it. That one detail would have changed our stay to a different property would we have known we couldn’t sit and look at the stars like years past.

We absolutely loved our stay at this 3 bedroom condo! The views from the multiple balconies are amazing. The unit is so spacious with tons of room for our group of 6 to spread out. Especially loved having 3 separate bathrooms! The unit is stocked with everything imaginable including boogie boards, chairs, snorkel gear and more. and is decorated beautifully also. The location is perfect and so close to restaurants in Princeville and Hanalei. We really enjoyed the great pool and hot tub. It's a beautiful, quiet complex- so peaceful! We loved the location and convenience of this property. The front door is literally 2 steps from the parking spot. Door to door to Hanalei beach is faster than any other property in Princeville. There’s plenty of space on multiple floors. And the view of the mountains is gorgeous.

The townhouse itself was decent. It was located in a relatively quiet location, and had everything needed for cooking, etc versus having to go out to eat every meal. The issues were that the place was rather worn, and things weren't in the best condition. The beds were terrible and provided no support, but otherwise caused body aches and pains for everyone in our party. Also, the ad listed that this unit had AC. It was only in the primary bedroom and no where else. Being a two story unit the upstairs was very hot even with all the windows and sliding doors open. It made it very difficult to sleep until late in the evening/early morning when it finally cooled off.

Overall the property is set up for family with younger children 4 and up which was nice and a good fit for us. The house has a great breeze when all window and doors are open plus fans (provided) and ceiling fans turned on makes it very comfortable. Very open floor plan.
We did find some roaches small and big in the upstairs bedroom and kitchen. A lot of commotion going on outside early in the morning with tractors mowing and heavy machinery moving around. There were some areas of the house kind of run down and need a little love but all in all it was a nice stay for us.
We had a lot of groceries left over that we didn’t even open; steaks, bacon, apple bananas and a lot of other item we left for housekeeping to have so it didn’t waste.
We loved getting to listen to the radio provided in the property. We also loved the local touches around the house.

Far from a luxury experience. Make sure you read the entire listing and the listing on their website, not just the vrbo website. Vrbo had no mention of no AC and shame on us for assuming they had one. The check in involved several emails with detailed house rules. We found ourselves digging through emails looking for pass codes and details. There were only 2 portable fans for the three bedrooms that only seemed to blow hot air on us at night. Communication with their team was not great, not helpful, and only during business hours. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Out dated appliances with no ice maker. Great location, though would recommend a different rental.

Our family of 5, two adults, 3 boys (22, 19, 17) all throughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The split floorpan workout out great, plenty of space to spread out, and the unit was extremely well stocked. But the absolute best part was the incredible view from the windows and balcony. Stunning! We all want to come back and hated to leave. Booking this property, there was several forms and things to fill out, but once that was all done, process was simple.The extra fans were appreciated. Very good communication and text messages leading up to our stay.

Stayed here 7 nites and loved it, especially the mini-split ac’s in each bedroom and common area. Beds were very comfortable and large, and plenty of bathrooms for all of us. Appreciated the beach towels and having a washer/dryer available as it allowed us to pack less.
View from the front is amazing and very close to the “public” beach areas in Princeville. So much to do in Kauai and this as our home-base made the trip that much easier.
If we ever come back, I would definitely look at staying here again!

This was amazing for our family of 6, with kids age 4-17. Plenty of space and stocked with everything you could think of to make our trip amazing! It was in an amazing area within walking distance to Hideaway Beach and Queen’s Bath (although Queen’s Bath was closed when we were there). Beautiful surroundings, pool and dumpster conveniently across from the unit. All we had to do was bring ourselves and groceries. We loved this property and will definitely book again in the future. Thanks for having such a wonderful property!

Nice stay! Clean house with beautiful views in a good location that was close to places we wanted to go. Hanalei Bay is 10ish minutes. There’s a Foodland and shave ice 0.3 miles away. 52 minutes from Lihue airport. Sand toys and beach toys in the garage. Extra beach towels. Air conditioning was adequate. Pool is very clean and heated which was great. Manager was very responsive! In a complex of about 50 identical units. Neighborhood was very quiet while we were there.
3 stars for the cookware which is pretty standard for vacation rentals. Thought washing AND putting away the dishes was a bit much to ask when leaving first thing in the morning considering price and cleaning service. Most places just ask you to start the dishwasher at most.
Overall, would recommend the stay but it was our first time to Kauai so we might look around for a different type of experience next time.

This was a beautiful duplex with views of the mountains and short distance from Princeville shopping center and the beautiful Hanalei. The lower level has AC as advertised and a spacious bedroom. The upper level has fans and spacious living room, additional bathrooms and well stocked with cookware kitchen. The area is peaceful and the nearby roosters added to the cultural charm of it. Highly recommend!

This unit was more than I hoped for. I rarely deviate from where I usually stay in Kauai for fear I might get a lemon, but this unit was perfect. I loved the floor plan! It provided privacy from other guests( we had an infant with us, never him cry. THe unit was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was decorated beautifully.

If one is sensitive to heat, as I am, you will appreciate this condo. There are mini splits in each of the three bedrooms as well as the main living area. All beds are quite comfortable.
We especially love the swimming pool here. Nothing fancy, just a lovely, quiet place to swim laps, exercise or relax. Our grandson in particular likes this pool. He and his parents live in nearby Kilahuea and stayed with us off and on while we were here.
The owner, Bryan, is very reachable and immediately attentive to any needs that might arise.
