The Lipoa Point conservation area is a great place to explore or take photos of Honolua Bay. A costal trail here runs for about a mile. A few rough paths lead down to the shoreline where you'll see some tide pools. In the winter months this is a popular surfing area.
Remember - if you're going to explore this area to use extreme caution. Ocean along unprotected shoreline can be extremely dangerous especially in the winter. Check the surf report to get an idea of what could happen. Also tread lightly as this is a conservation area with unmarked archaeological sites..
