The property is somewhat dated. The grounds are in need of some TLC and the pools were dirty, like hairballs floating in. They don’t have enough staff and the wait times for the bar and restaurant was crazy. Staff was nice, just don’t have enough especially in busy days, like football. The unit was pretty dirty. The couch was so nasty we had to get extra pool towels to put down so we could sit on it. I understand it’s a beach house but it’s in need of a cleaning badly. Also, the AC vent in the master had black soot all over the ceiling where the vent Was. The floors were completely disgusting on. Heck in and needed a mopping. We didn’t wear shoes in the unit and the floors were gross. Tiles and grout need to be steam cleaned. It has the potential to be great. The property grounds are very clean. The room itself is dated, the oven was terrible, cooking supplies are very poor quality and the patio door was extremely difficult to open and close. Outside of all of that it was very roomy and comfortable ( the sofa bed needs updating). Loved all the extra items like beach chairs. It stated there was a cooler for use but we never found it and we did replace the broken beach umbrella we found so it is available for the next guest. There was enough laundry supplies for 8 loads which was plenty, we never ran out of trash bags or dishwashing supplies and the limited amount of spices was a nice find to have!

Our family of 6 enjoyed the stay in this condo. There were a few things that were missing from the kitchen, like tongs and a can opener, but overall nicely stocked and comfortable. The pool was a hit for our kids (ages 6-17) and it was nice to have a few pool noodles and sand toys to tote with us for day trips. There were also 2 boogie boards and 2 sets of fins for use in the closet. The location made for an easy walk to a food truck spot, a few restaurants a grocery store and an ABC store.

The room served the purpose for our stay. The beach was great although rocky so better swimming more south. We didn’t know the gym was going to cost extra. Beautiful sunsets and amazing land/water/nature. Whales and dolphins aplenty in December. The kitchen knives were dangerously dull and cooking equipment barely sufficed. I would stay again if I couldn’t find another option. Tough to know the quality of kitchen equipment when booking but it’s important to me as i like to cook. There was no basic oil or spices so had to buy all this. Very responsive support. There was a smell like mold that I was sensitive to and the place felt very well used and old couch I didn’t want to get too close to. I guess this is to be expected with a rental property.

This unit was well equipped, spacious and had lovely views of the grounds and ocean. It was also in a great location. Close to restaurants, snorkeling and has a grocery story a short walk away. Two things to keep in mind: the AC turns off a night. Seems to be motion sensor operated, so we were too warm at night. Also, below the unit balcony are some beautiful, lush trees that attract loud birds. They were extra vocal at dawn and dusk. Despite these two issues, we would stay there again.

The online listing was exactly as they listed. Often the pictures are misleading. This one was exactly as indicates. We knew what to expect. The unit was what I would describe as "tired", due to the age of the resort. It did not hamper our stay. We came to Hawaii to be by the ocean and to enjoy the sunshine, not to stay in doors. The number one thing we look for in a resort is safety and convenience. This unit provided us with this. It is perfectly located close to grocery stores, food trucks, the beach, hotel lounges, the ocean front boardwalk, and so much more. With our current Canadian dollar, this unit is excellent value for the money. We appreciated how easy it was to deal with the management company and the resort. Our overall experience on our trip was perfect. We have come back to Canada relaxed, rested, and refocused. Thank you! We would like to recommend this unit as a budget friendly unit to anyone.

We had such a wonderful stay - two kids under 10, two adults - we were so comfortable with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and having the kitchen for easy breakfasts was a godsend. The views of the water were beautiful, and we had such a relaxing time visiting different beaches during the day and swimming in the hotel pool in the afternoon. The location was perfect, bonus that the food trucks were right next door. We would definitely stay here again!

I needed a place with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom for my 3 kids. This was perfect for 17, 14 and 10 year old. With the full kitchen we were able to go to the grocery store across the street to stock the fridge. The location on the beach had the perfect waves that the buggy board had hours of fun. We just returned from our trip to Maui and we stayed our entire 10 day stay at this unit in Ka'anapali Shores Resort. My husband, 8 year old, 17 year old and myself all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The unit covered all our needs and the in-unit washing machine/dryer was very convenient. The resort itself is beautiful as well and in a great location with a full grocery store directly across the street. We also saw turtles in the waters right off the beach at the resort! Would definitely stay here again the next time we travel to Maui!

The condo is large like all Kaanapali Shores, very conveniently located, Times food store is across the street , food court, including fresh fruit is right next door. But the host here was extraordinary. She left us coffee, oat milk in the fridge, snacks, cookies, and a Thank you note. She lives nearby and she offered to help with anything. Also the place is very clean, the bed is very comfortable and the sofa in the living room is wide and long enough for 2 adults to stretch out on it.

The room was spacious, clean and had what we needed. I appreciated the brita filter they provided. The people at the reception desk and other staff were helpful, friendly and kind. The pool was clean and nice and the trees providing shade by the ocean was divine. I wish we had more of a direct view to the ocean rather than the partial view. Otherwise, it was wonderful!

While the unit is a bit dated & kitchen had only 2 regular glasses, the view is amazing!! The bed is very comfortable- slept great. Loved the passcode on the door so you don’t have to search for a key card. The hair care and body wash were great to have. Great location & loved the pools & Pickleball courts!! A great stay!

This was our second stay at Kaanapali Shores. The entire complex is clean and beautiful and great for families. This unit was in excellent condition and having the ground level access was awesome. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will likely be back for a third stay sometime next year.

My friends and I can't say enough good things about this rental. This unit is oceanfront as shown on the listing where the view is breathtaking and you can hear the relaxing waves throughout your stay. The beach is steps away. Amenities are complete, property is conveniently located and close to a grocery store, food trucks and restaurants. The communication with the my perfect stay team is excellent. The only recommendation we would make is to have luggage carts available for vacationers as it is more challenging to haul your groceries from the parking lot to your room.

The unit itself is clean, spacious, and is as depicted in the listing. The lanai overlooks the ocean, and the ocean can also be seen (and heard 😊) from both bedrooms. The mattresses, bedding, and towels were of good quality. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals.
The resort's pools and landscaping are well maintained, and the towel service easy to use. Having a bar and restaurant near the pools is convenient.
Papi Ohana's is a delicious and renowned bakery just a short walk from the resort where cinnamon rolls and scones can be picked up for breakfast or pizza ordered for later in the day. You can pick up items at an ABC store close to the bakery, and across the street is a grocery store, several restaurants, and a new bar.
Others have made comments about parking and the long walk to get to the unit. The best parking is to drive through the garage to the other side, park near the building, and walk in through the delivery entrance (which was always open). This way takes you straight to the elevators, and the unit is a just short walk down the hallway.
A beautiful property, peaceful setting, with plenty of nearby services.

We stayed in room 706. Although it was a little dated it had most things we needed. The view from this room was spectacular! The bed was comfortable. We could hear the ocean at night. We made a few dinners in the condo. Having a few more kitchen tools would have made it more perfect but it wasn’t a huge issue. We had no construction noise as advertised and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Will stay again in a minute!

Kaanapali Shores is an excellent value and had everything we needed for the week. Unit could use a cosmetic update on furniture, and desperately needs new screens, but other than that, if you are looking a clean/comfortable/convenient property…this is a winner.

Parking is also very close to the unit which was so handy for coming and going. The unit is nicely decorated and very cozy, plenty of space for our family of 5.

We enjoyed this property and the access to the beach. It felt like our own private beach. The unit was so convenient any it was great to have a kitchen.
My only recommendation would be to have a broom and dust pan in the unit to help clean up any left over sand.

My family have been to Maui many times now and always stay at the same place, with Costco travel. This time we decided to change it up and will never again. The room did not have a pull out couch like pictured, so my daughter had to sleep on the floor. The two large burners on the stove did not work. The internet to watch Netflix at night did not work. If I had known it would be that bad I would never had spent my hard earned money!! Never again.

We had previously stayed at this resort 5 years ago (at a different unit) so we knew the lay of the land and the area and wanted to return. The location is truly great because restaurants, food trucks and grocery store are within walking distance.
When we arrived at the condo, the door code did not work. This made us a little nervous at first because we had groceries with us that needed to be put into the refrigerator. We texted the property manager and within minutes he sent us a new code. So that was a relief! We entered and found things "OK". but there was a few things that were obvious that house keeping seriously missed. We decided to ask the property manager to have the quilt/coverlet on the bed changed out since there appeared to have been blood along with a few other stains on it. He replied again quickly and said he would have someone come take care of it immediately. We think he came personally to change it out because within a half of an hour he came knocking on the door with a new quilt. Very much appreciated! Again, there were a few other items that did need some attention but we chose to not even bother with those things because we truly just wanted to enjoy our stay and relax as we had traveled almost 24 hours to get there.
The pictures on the listing do not show the beautiful view from the balcony well enough. It was so nice and was probably our favorite spot.
Overall- a great stay and the property manager was very accommodating
