Kamaole Sands is a great Hawaii location. The room (7-210) was very clean and well furnished with air conditioning in the living area and bedroom. Easy access to pool and paved walkway to the beach. This beach is gentle and great for playing for all ages!

Beautiful condo with all the lux amenities and beach things needed. Comfortable bed and great space to relax. We love staying at Kam Sands when we visit family and we hope to book here again the future. One of the best condos we have stayed in while in Maui.

The property is wonderful and exactly as shown in the pictures. The unit was very clean and well stocked. We’ve stayed at another unit in the complex, and can say the upgrades to this unit were very well done. The management company is great to deal with and very responsive to emails. We had no complaints, only compliments, and enjoyed our stay.

We chose this property because many friends have stayed here multiple times and we were excited about our stay.
The communication with the property was good before we arrived.
When we arrived the check in was good but it was unclear which gate to come in. We thought we could go directly to our property but we had to check in first.
Our unit was usable but very dated and worn...definitely not how pictures show...that was disappointing.
The first night our smoke alarm went off 3 times for no reason. We contacted managment and I think it was fixed as it never happened again.
The living room couch is breaking and slanting forward so you really can't sit on it at all. Screws actually fell out . We contacted the management but we had try them 4 times before we got a response. Then sent someone to fix it but they put the screws back in but it didnt fix the problem, you still couldn't sit on it.
The dining chairs are so uncomfortable and there is only one other seat. The shelving that has the murphy beds has the drawers breaking and falling off.
The living room was basically unusable we tried to watch a movie in the bedroom but that TV wouldnt turn on....tried everything. Didnt bother to contact management.
We loved the location of the property and the location in the property but definitely would look for another unit to stay in. Very unfortunate but unless things are repaired it is disappointing.

Not only was the location excellent, the convenience of a ground floor unit was hard to beat. The AC is only in the main living space, but by using fans to push cold air into the bedrooms at night, we slept really well even with the heat!
The unit is fully stocked including everything you could possibly need for the beach and pool. We will absolutely look for this unit when we come back.

The condominium was quite appealing until we completed our registration, at which point we were informed that parking would be distant due to ongoing construction on our building. Had I been aware of this situation prior to our check-in day, it would have been beneficial, especially considering my mother's back issues that make walking difficult. This aspect could have significantly enhanced our experience at the condo, however, we adapted by borrowing a wheelchair to facilitate our movements between the vehicle and the unit.The condo itself was satisfactory, although it appeared that some work was still in progress. I noticed a tear in the window screen at the top left, indicating it was incomplete, and there were two loose trim pieces beneath the countertop near the phone and at the bottom, for which I took photographs. Additionally, the hair dryer in the main bathroom was inoperative, necessitating a trip to the other bathroom for laundry needs.We attempted to contact housekeeping on two separate occasions over the course of two days, however, we did not receive any response or callback regarding our request for a trash bag. Fortunately, we were able to manage by disposing of our trash ourselves, as my family consistently handles waste disposal on a daily basis. The entire house was well-stocked with various items, which was quite impressive. I would rate this experience five stars.We enjoyed a lovely view of the mountains upon exiting the front door. The balcony was nice, though the view from it was not particularly impressive. In summary, it was a wonderful place to stay for six nights, conveniently located within walking distance of the beach and various shopping and dining options. I would certainly consider returning in the future.

We couldn't have been happier. The location is convenient - we could walk to the beach (across the street!) and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We had a wonderful 2-week vacation at the Kamaole Sands. We have stayed there before, usually in a unit facing into the main gardens. This time we were in one of the back units facing out towards a street. However, that did not matter at all. It was still a lovely place to stay. Everyone is so friendly. The unit was just fine! And, our host is definitely a super host. They were very accommodating and helpful every single time we interacted. So thanks for that! Just love Maui so much.

It was great! We were staying in bldg 4 but due to the work and noise over there we asked to be moved to building 1. Rentals Maui moved us with no questions asked. They were awesome! We will return next year!!

Fair at best for the money. Needs some upkeep. Air conditioner noisy and blows hot air on Lanai. Just a bit dated. Could use better furniture. Bathroom towel hangers broken. Bedroom shower has standing water while in use so you standing in shower while showering.

Our unit was beautifully updated and spacious. The Murphy bed in the living room was suprisingly very comfortable for our daughter! The extensive beach gear like chairs, umbrellas and cooler were much appreciated and used daily by my family. Kamaole Sands is our favorite to stay at when visiting Maui but this building was one we had not stayed in before. Building 10 is closer to the water and our view did not disappoint. I did not catch when we booked this unit that it did not have an oven and we had already bought groceries that would require an oven. Not a deal breaker and honestly that was on me. But I wanted to mention it in case anyone else rents this unit and prefers to cook some meals in condo versus eating out the whole time. Overall we had a lovely trip and the condo was wonderful. I must also mention that Matt and Tonya of PMI Maui are fantastic to deal with. This is not our first time going through PMI and it won’t be our last. They answer emails and questions promptly and thoroughly. I spoke with Tonya personally a few times with questions. They really go above and beyond, not just in responding quickly, but also just making sure you have everything you need. We will use them again and again and have nothing but praises to sing on the way they run the business and treat their customers.

We visit Maui several times a year and always stay at the Kamaole Sands. It’s our favorite location and property. This was our first time staying in this unit and it far exceeded our expectations. The owners were wonderful and thought of everything we might need. There were too many extras to list, but there were toiletries, laundry soap, shampoos, and even sun block available for our use. We usually have to make a run to the market for all of these items, but they were all provided for us and readily available. The unit was clean, and very comfortable. We will definitely be booking this property again in the future. The owners were easily available for any questions or concerns and very kind! AC in both Living area and bedroom; No Carpet;Updated unit with the open concept; Ground Floor unit;2 Beach Chairs;; umbrella; Boogie Board; Cooler.This is our fifth time staying at Kamaole Sands and the second time using PMI Maui. There was a unit we really liked in another building and cheaper but there were some red flags in the reviews about the management company. We used PMI Maui last year and it was perfect so we booked with them again this year. We had one minor issue in that our TV signal did not work. Matt from PMI had it taken care of promptly. You can’t ask for better service than that.

10/10 would stay here again. You can see the balcony when you are swimming in the ocean, you are THAT close! It was very spacious and clean, and all around a great please to stay. Would certainly stay again, check in was easy and seamless and the place was very clean.

We have been renting a condo in Kamaole Sands since 2014. We have rented in buildings #7, #10 and #1numerous times. As much as we love Kamaole Sands and the location off building #1, we were rather disappointed this time. We were there in April 2023. We reviewed the condo at that time and made several suggestions such as new bedding, new towels of all sorts, and possibly a new mattress. The second bathroom still has mold and needs a deep clean. Nothing has changed in 18 months. I understand it is up to the condo owners, but with how much the rents have increased I don’t think it is too much to ask. We would love to come back to Kamaole Sands since it not to unit 1-105 or 7-304 unless some improvements are made. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Everything about unit 307 was great. Couldn’t ask for anything better. Very clean, a/c worked great, high end appliances & no carpeting. If you like to cook your meals the kitchen was well equipped. We had a wonderful family vacation at Kamaole Sands in South Kihei. We have stayed at this resort several times and it was perfect for us. We had one of our daughters stay with us plus our sister in a 3 bedroom unit. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 children. We also loved having 3 bathrooms.

The condo is very nice with tile floors to make it easy to clean if sand gets in. Air conditioners in both the main living room and the bedroom kept the temperature comfortable the entire time. Location is close to very nice beaches and walking or short drive to many shopping and eating establishments. Must try the cinnamon roll place just down the road! Quick walk to a wonderful swimming pool and beach directly across the street.
Only downside was the lack of commonly used items such as broom/dustpan, storage containers of any kind, and nice beach towels. The beach chairs provided were older and had broken straps which made them difficult to use. These are both very minor issues and overall did not impact the quality of our trip.
If your goal is to rest and relax while in Maui, this unit is perfect for you. Looking for night life, there are many bars and restaurants within walking distance, and the price of the unit was very reasonable for both its quality and location. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a great place to call home during your visit to Maui.

We came to Maui to attend our friends wedding. All of the wedding party stayed at Kamaole Sands. It was great. We had dinner parties at the BBQ areas, it was easy to make our sides in our condo due to having everything we needed. Great location to the beach. And great location to everything fun in Kibea!

My first stay with VRBO and it was a very positive experience. Check in process was a but complicated as the property was located at a different entrance from the check in office but we figured it out. Its in a very safe and secured neighborhood. The description is true, the beach and park is across the street. It was very clean, beds were comfy, and we appreciated all the extra towels.

Loved ground floor and close to the pool, but the unit has room for improvement. One paper thin beach towel. Weird showers, one is super small, the other has no door, so water spray goes all over the floor. Although there is an electronic door lock we weren’t given a code and had to use a key box and were only supplied one key. We asked for a second key and they did bring one to us. The furniture is sparse and only room for one to lounge in the living room, so in the evening one of us was on the lanai and one on the sofa. Also, every piece of furniture had glass on top of it, so it felt very sterile and cold. Compared to other units we’ve been in at Kamaole Sands this unit felt tired.

Overall a very good rental experience once again from Rentals Maui at Kamaole Sands. when our original booking was cancelled due to building roof replacement they were very helpful in finding us another suite 7-408 in an unaffected building at the same price. The resort and suite was as expected as previous visits to Kamaole Sands have proved. Look forward to our next stay.
