I’ve stayed at many places over the years traveling to the beautiful Hawaiian islands. Big Island, Oahu, Kauai and Maui. Lokelani has been one of my favorite rentals! The very best location that I’ve ever stayed. Being steps away from the ocean, seeing and hearing the surf day and night was exceptional. Our ground floor condo was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved being able to sit on our lanai and enjoy our coffee every morning. The proximity to shopping and a short walk to the larger resorts for a nice dinner out was a plus. We will return to Lokelani ASAP!

We loved our stay at this condo. We enjoyed waking up to stunning ocean views right outside our window, and we especially liked seeing sea turtles everyday. There is swimmable beach and a pool, which was perfect. Great central location with restaurants and businesses very close by (walkable or a quick drive.) We would return!

A full kitchen (though it could use updating) and laundry made this a very easy place to stay for our two week trip. Best was the sounds of the waves at night and the wonderful breezes; we never needed A/C. Parking was right there too. We had noisy neighbors for only one night, but the experience would have definitely been different if they had stayed longer. It is a corner unit which helps that problem but would not completely solve it. The patio was wonderful!! Right outside is a sandy beach and we saw green turtles twice. All in all, a great spot and worth the price.

Just fantastic. Space for our middle school kids. View is phenomenal. Ocean access. Close to great beaches, snorkeling, restaurants, groceries. Among other things, we’ll always remember watching the Dodgers win the World Series here. Everything we needed for a week on Maui!

We really love the location of this property. The king bed was very comfortable however the entire unit in general needed to be updated. it appears the pictures online must be anywhere from 15 to 20 years old. There is currently no beach in front of the property like the picture showed. Just a very small patch of sand that you could sometimes get to on the side of the property. The location was amazing because it was within walking distance to so much and overall a comfortable stay. Just recommend some updates to the items in the kitchen for cooking, both showers in each bathroom, as well as furniture.

Living in Nevada, we don’t get to hear waves breaking upon a shore line so we just loved sitting on the lanai and reading our books while listening to the waves breaking! And, from the lanai you could see turtles pop their heads up for air! Pretty awesome! The unit was also nicely furnished and corresponding with the owners was easy.

A really lovely place to stay. The view is amazing and we saw a rainbow almost daily. There are pleny of outside chairs and lounges and every patio has at least one table. If you're paying attention, you can see: monk seals, turtles, sharks, dolphins, and all kinds of birds. We weren't there for the whales, but family members go back specifically to these condos for that. The condos are spotless with lots of extra bedding & towels. The washer and dryer are supplied with soap and fabric softener and the dishwasher is supplied as well. You have at least a starter amount of paper goods and dish soap. The kitchen is fully equipped. The management has thought of pretty much everything you need. I highly recommend this place. It's quiet (at least when we were there) unlike a hotel where you have kids all over the place and a loud pool to contend with. There's a pool there, but I never made my way to it. The staff is VERY attentive when you contact them and quite friendly. Each condo has a parking spot on the premises, so close to your condo. They supply each condo with plenty of fans. I didn't see a single mosquito or bug while we were there and I kept my screen doors open most of the time. The only thing I might suggest is you make sure your bedroom A/C unit (the only A/C in the condo) is working.

We really enjoyed our time at this vacation rental. It was so clean! On our last day the tide was low in front of our condo. We enjoyed going down the stairs and standing in the sand. We loved seeing the crabs on the wall. We discovered the water/hose to wash the sand off of our feet. This also would have worked well in rinsing the sand from our feet after we got home from our beach/snorkeling days. The location of this condo was perfect for driving to snorkeling spots like Slaughterhouse Beach (Mokuleia Beach)and Honolua bay. The Snorkeling was great! Also, close to Kaanapali public beach, another great snorkeling spot. Safeway at Lahaina was a good place to grocery shop. The condo balconies were wonderful. Enjoyed our morning coffee and eating dinner on the main floor balcony and star gazing at night on bedroom balcony. The ocean view was spectacular. We totally enjoyed our stay :)

Very close to the Kanapali and Napili beacheas. The condo itself has access to a small beach, which is usually not crowded at all. The amenities were also good and the owners were very helpful. Loved our stay!

It took 25 yrs., but we're back. We had our honeymoon on Maui and couldn't wait to get back now celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The condo was in a perfect location. Close to shopping, dining and beaches. The views are spectacular. Everything was provided for the beach and cooking. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. Amazing sunsets every night and access to snorkeling with turtles from the condo. It had everything we needed, grilled fresh fish every night.
Not an huge issue, but kitchen gets hot while cooking and doesn't cool down quickly.

This is definitely an amazing spot to stay for that waterfront and the sound of the waves. We spent every morning and evening we were there out on the lanai listening to the waves crashing. We were there between two tropical storms so it was too cloudy for those sunsets, but still gorgeous. It was nice and close to lots of different spots to eat/visit and we like staying up that far north because we can avoid having to drive up and down the two lane freeway our whole trip. The Plantation House and Hula's Grill were two places we really enjoyed.

I had high hopes for this place, especially since the snorkeling out front was amazing, and the location of the units was ideal. However, there were several issues that would prevent me from staying here again.
1) The HVAC thermostat is capped at 72, the house never actually gets to set point, hovers around 73-76. I paid thousands for the stay, I guess the $100 electric bill savings is more important than guest comfort.
2) There is a persistent moldy smell. I’ve never complained about mold before or had issues, but this was noticeable. I developed a sore throat and chest cold (tested negative for COVID and strep). Draw your own conclusions.
3) The exterior is filthy, with bird and lizard poop everywhere. It really needs to be power washed. You couldn’t avoid stepping in it or rolling your suitcase through it and it went up the walls too, disgusting.
4) The floors inside were dirty, which was even more frustrating after walking through the mess outside. If barefoot your feet are filthy within minutes of waking around. I tried to vacuum the floors, the vacuum did not work properly- it filled kicked up dust when turned on, making it even worse. There was no mop provided.
5) The sliding glass doors upstairs and downstairs doors are extremely hard to open and close.
6) The assigned parking spot is extremely tight to get into - takes multiple back ups.
7) No Costco beach chairs or umbrella provided.
Couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

This was our second stay at Lakeland B102. It really is the ideal location, right on the water! We loved relaxing on the lanai, enjoying the sound of the waves and palm trees, and watching the sunset. Quick drive to grocery stores and shopping, easy access to all Maui has to offer! The unit was clean and well-appointed. We made good use of the boogie boards and beach chairs! Hosts are awesome and always respond quickly to any questions. Mahalo for another fantastic trip!

If you want as close to the ocean as you can get, then this is the place! It was awesome! I loved the way it was decorated, all the art, the flooring throughout, and the furniture. The master bedroom on the top floor with the huge sliders was extra special as we turned the ac off and just had them open all night. The lower balcony was great with a high table to sit at as well as 2 nice chairs to lean back in. It is also a small complex which was nice. Thank you.

Our family of 3 stayed in what we described as PERFECT for us! Every day we said we can’t believe how great this place is! The complex is small which gives a home-y feel. It’s also very quiet. The end unit made a wonderful cross breeze. Also, the end unit made the lanai open on one side which made it feel that much more open. The decor was lovely! The furniture is very comfy, especially the king bed. Plenty of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer was fantastic! The location of this place is phenomenal, very low key, just what we hoped for. And RIGHT ON THE BEACH. Hearing the waves is so calming. The beach is swimmable and good for snorkeling. The beach sunsets views are perfection! Of all the places we could stay, we will choose this place, every time.

We had a very pleasant stay at Sunset Central. Ray was always communicative. He found out there would be construction next door and offered a full refund or 50% off. The view of the ocean is to die for and the turtles swimming around you if you go on the little beach are so fun to watch. You have to be on the little beach on earlier side or the waves get big and difficult to get onto it. Everything is provided from towels to beach chairs and umbrella. But you have to do a load of laundry before you leave, so if you are not into that this is not your place. The w/d is a small unit so it makes sense to help out the cleaners. Location is great with short walk to get coffee, etc. Food trucks so close and yummy! You can bring back food and watch sunset for dinner. No need to go out to eat. There is only AC in bedroom and you pay extra for it. I was here in Aug and was hot in the living area. The fire was close but at condo you would have no idea that the fires happened. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!! I miss it already.
