This property was fantastic! The only reason it was slightly less expensive than our stay in Kaanapali was it was a few more steps to the beach. Take advantage of that because you get a bigger place in a beautiful property for less cost and it is still an easy walk to the beach to catch the sunset. We did a snorkeling tour that left literally across the street. Anytime we had a lot to carry we just drove down the hill and found parking. Easy. This place was perfect. We hope to return soon! Owners were also great at communicating.

The location of this condo cannot be beat and has a beautiful ocean view and is right across the street from the beach and the Kihei boat launch. It was very clean easy to check into and had lots of extras that a lot of condos don’t have. I would definitely stay here and again and would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful property and location. The views are stunning. The condo is nicely furnished and very clean. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are good quality. Enjoying breakfast on the lanai while the sun rose was a dream.This was our second time staying at this community and both condos have been wonderful. We liked in particular how close this condo is to the prettier pool in the community (has a waterfall). We also loved being within walking distance to a great toddler beach, great restaurants, shops, the resort area, and massage businesses etc. We have also stayed in Wailuku and Kaanapali in the past, and we find this condo to be the most ideal location.We have a 2 year old and 5 year old, and they did great in this unit. The stairs are a little steep, however they are carpeted. We had a couple issues with the baby gate, but contacted the really kind property manager Tatiana (sp?) and she helped us within the hour. The condo did not have the as much of the personal amenities we are used to from personal home rentals, like condiments, spices, a welcome basket, sunscreen (left behind by other guests etc), however it did have beach equipment, toys, board games and bath soap/conditioner/lotion.Mahalo!!! We love Maui!!!

Anthurium House is a lovely place to stay. We were there for 2 weeks. Amy has provided everything you need. The bed was extremely comfortable. A reusable shopping bag filled with goodies welcomed us. The TV in the bedroom didn't work and was quickly replaced. The split a/c made the place very comfortable. The enclosed lanai off the bedroom was a nice place to sit and enjoy the bird song in the morning and the lanai off the living room was a great place to dine and watch the sunsets. We saw whales too! We enjoyed the location, quiet neighborhood, well-maintained grounds, the extra blow-up mattress so our teen son didn’t have to sleep with his adult sister. This property had lots of posted rules: quiet hours, proper use of garbage disposal, keeping sand off carpet, a squeegee for the shower glass. Some may not like rules; I happen to like rules to keep the property nice. We are not accustomed to keypad entries; the code didn’t work at first. We were told we could arrive a little early, so maybe that’s the reason the code wouldn’t work. We had some difficulty initial finding the owner’s phone number, but she returned our call after about 15 min. Other places have a combo lock box to access standard keys. The downstairs bath tub/shower combo is not a good design for those with mobility issues or those who have little kids who still need tub filled for baths due to a fancy non moveable shower glass. There was one significant issue that could not be remedied during our stay, which is the reason for the 4 stars, though unless the owner was already aware, I don’t think there is anything she could have done in advance to prevent the issue. On other vacations, for this type of circumstance, would have given some kind of compensation.

Immaculate (and I’m picky), manager was highly communicative and flexible, local manager is the pinnacle of friendliness and helpfulness. Beautiful view. Pots and pans looked new (and, again, I’m picky), dishes nicer than usual. A/C cools the space in minutes allowing for breezy days and nights cool enough to sleep well on the very comfortable beds (including a comfortable pull out). Bathrooms and kitchen clearly recently remodeled. Nice proximity to pool- close but not noisy. Easy walk to beach. Fully stocked with boogie boards, chairs, umbrella. This is our 6th rental in Kihei and 3rd in Maui Kamaole and we will definitely be returning to this unit.

The complex is great, and well located and this unit is close to both pools and to the beach. Check in and parking were easy. We have stayed in Maui many times and at Maui Kamole twice, we all like the complex and this unit was clean and well located within Maui Kamole. The unit was dated and is in need of some investment. The AC units are very and loud not making sleeeping unpleasant also under powered for a hot day. They need to be replaced. The small appliaces such as the toaster and the coffee maker are cheap and old, a mish mash of cooking supplies, pots pans and dishes got the job done but we felt like the owners could spend a small amount of money and show they care about a guests experience. Ditto for the 15 year old tvs with that dont have any smart features so you cant get streaming services... its not a big investment and many people watching a show or movie together after a nice day at the beach. The sofa bed was average and it wasnt the newer style that has a full matress, it will work but expect an older child to complain a bit, the young kids wont care or notice. The king bed was hard but tolarable. Showers and bath rooms are average but fine. We will return to Maui and Maui Kamole and if this unit owner cares to invest a little bit of effort and money into the unit we would also consider renting this unit again. If these comments were not addressed then we think you might find better units in the complex for the same price.

My parents and I had a wonderful stay in this condo! The host was very responsive and helpful, and the condo was large, clean and beautifully furnished with a great view of the ocean. The complex is located on a main street close to shops and restaurants, and there are nice beaches very close by, with beach gear provided by the host. I highly recommend this place for a stay in Kihei/Maui.

Thanks Joyce, we enjoyed our stay in your condo.The complex is very nice, well maintained with beautiful gardens, it is located near Kamaole 3 beach, the boat launch, and Wailea.The positives of this unit are; it is a ground floor unit, it’s spacious, located close to the nicer swimming pool in the complex and the unit’s assigned parking space and the bbq area(weber bbq). The unit ensuite has two separate vanity with sinks, appreciated the safe, and laundry. The layout of the unit; a long front entry, with laundry closet, main bedroom with full ensuite, a den with pocket doors(no window or closet), main three piece bathroom (shower no tub) and open concept kitchen, dining area and living room which has sliding glass to a private patio. Very good layout and spacious.The unit was outfitted with beach chairs, beach umbrella and plenty of beach towels and bath towels. Lots of dishes, cups, and glasses. Pans and pots were tired, needing replacing. We were required to have plastic dishwate at the pool, not enough was provided - the security guard was good enough to give us some. So could use more pool friendly dishes.The negative of this unit- I understand the complex was constructed in 2000, and it appears the unit has not been updated since then. The cleaners need to do a deeper thorough clean, dusty fans, curtain rods, and shelves. Tub surround is moldy. We booked for a month and assumed we would have enough supplies to care for the maintenance for the month- inclu

Unit J118 was perfect for my husband and I and came equipped with everything we needed to make our stay memorable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need, the beach chairs, umbrella a cooler provided were great for us to take to the beach. And the bed was comfortable! Pros:-The balcony doesn't have much direct sun exposure and is quite large, facing a nice tropical garden. Great for relaxing!-Quiet location, no traffic noise, neighbouring units were quiet too.-Wonderful pool & hot tub a quick walk from the unit, with surrounding garden-The baby gate, pack n' play, booster seat & beach toys were helpful for our toddler! Also great having the sun umbrellas & boogie boards.Cons:-We had 5 adult and 1 toddler. The pull-out couch bed is very uncomfortable so my father ended up sleeping on a trifold mattress on the floor of the living room. Unless you have folks who don't mind floor sleeping, best to only book for up to 4 adults (sleeping on the 2 beds)-The kitchen was tight - you couldn't comfortably have 2 people in the kitchen and open drawers, dishwasher, etc. We managed, but the layout wasn't ideal, especially since we prepared all of our meals in the condo. For folks who mainly eat out, or a smaller group, it may not be an issue!-There was no cutting board. When we emailed the owner to ask if they could provide one, they said we could buy our own (with no offer to reimburse). This was a surprising response. If you stay here, you may want to pack a cutting board. :-)

We had stayed in this unit for 3 weeks 6 years ago. It appears that not much has been updated in that time. To be blunt, the unit looks tired. One of living room chairs was quite frayed, the other and the sofa looked like they could use some updating. The upstairs screen door was totally off of its track and looked like it needs to be replaced. Upstairs shower head needs to be replaced. And downstairs needs significant cleaning in terms of glass.

The condo is in the very end of the property but very close to the tennis courts and the upper pool - a fact that our kids enjoyed a lot. Only small draw back: kids running around in the upper apartments makes a lot of noise for the people below and we actually had the lower neighbors complain. We were very sorry but keeping kids quite can be challenging.

Maui Kamaole is in great location of Kihei with nice gardens. The unit itself was large and clean with a nice garden but the unit felt run down and in need of a facelift. Kitchen and bathroom cabinet are old, broken countertop in the kitchen as well as very uncomfortable and old mattress as well as pillows which saw better days. We never managed to have any TV working as there were 4 remotes with no instructions and the wifi was on and off in the bedroom. Also the tub wa old and needs updating.

Of course, we loved the beautiful view from the lanai! The sunsets, the humpbacks and the moon.
The condo was spacious for the 5 of us and was well appointed with towels, beach chairs, snorkels etc.
The kitchen had everything we needed.
The grounds at Maui Kamaole are beautifully kept and add to the Hawaiian vibe.
We used the lower pool and hot tub exclusively and they were always sparkly clean.
The air conditioning in the bedrooms and the living area were quiet and worked well.

We were really looking forward to our annual vacation in Maui. We visit once to twice a year and wanted to just enjoy the island to relax. The review for this place is NOT accurate. The condo is nice and location is amazing, but when it's infested with cockroaches, it should not be rented unless it's fumigated. I have a 5 year old that touches everything and I was very concern of the cleanliness of the whole place. We had to put out baits on our own and wipe down the counters at least 2 to 3x a day. This was not a relaxing vacation when we had to worry about the space that we sleep and eat in is infested with roaches. I understand that the island has roaches, but I have never rented a condo that infested with roaches. We would wake up and there would be at least 5-7 roaches crawling on the kitchen counter. We informed the property management, but they just brought us more roach traps, which didn't help. We were really nervous about bring it home and we had to deal with that once we return home. I don't recommend this to anyone, unless the owner takes care of the roach problem.

The kitchen had some coffee, spices, and condiments which was very nice, we also left some items for the next vacationers. The reason not a 5 star. The kitchen had no potholders or bowl-scrapper. The bathroom, did not have a second set of bath towels for each bathroom. The washing machine needs to be cleaned around the inside rim, there is a lot of mold under the rubber. We did buy and leave an extra camp chair as my husband doesn't like the low ones. So hopefully someone else will be able to enjoy it!

The property is gorgeous. The condo is well maintained, clean and well stocked with everything required for enjoying the island. We encountered an issue with the fridge not working and both the rental company and the owner were very responsive and helpful to resolve the issue and not let it impact our vacation. The location is wonderful, close to beaches and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The parking spot is just steps outside the door to the condo, making it easy to load and unload groceries, luggage, etc. One of the pools is directly across the parking lot, providing easy access for a swim. We will definitely stay here again.
