We really enjoyed our stay at Maui Sands! The condo literally overlooked the ocean right behind the wave break. We had a beautiful view during the day, and heard the crashing waves at night! We even saw dolphins and a sea turtle!
The place was very clean and comfortable and located conveniently near many favorable places. And the price was right! Thanks to our hosts!

We had a great time staying in B 307. Even though it was a studio, it felt much larger than that. This condo had the best views and your in walking distance to everything that you possibly need. Papakea is by far the nicest resort on

Maui Sands 4E is absolutely stunning! The condo is clean and very well appointed. The balcony view is breathtakingly beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sea turtles swim by every morning and evening. Laura was a fantastic host! We can’t wait to visit again!

We stay at the Maui Sands every year. This is our first year to stay in this particular unit. We really enjoyed the proximity of the parking to the unit. The units air conditioning units were excellent. The property manager was more than accommodating, they even added a crockpot upon our request. We stayed for over a month so our experience might be a little different from others, but I appreciated that the vaccum cleaner actually worked. The two bathrooms and showers were very unique for this condo conplex and so nice to have. There was everything we needed for regular cooking. The refrigerator kept things cold. They are enough plates and bowls that we didn’t have to wash between meals, they even have kids silverware and dishes! We will likely stay again for a month next year!

Lovely setting and right next to the ocean. Wake up with tropical birds singing and views of the sandy beach and ocean. Palm trees and beautiful tropical vegetation line your condo. Very clean and spacious, easy access to main roads and restaurants and shopping. We had a marvelous experience and will do it again!

The property is clean. Amazing location.. no nee dto go somehwere for anorkling as its really in fromt of your unit. Beach area very clean and easy accessible. Very quiet and the facilities are also very clean and organized. The only suggestion I have is to give direction of the unit location and the office because there was no sign and we did not know where fhe unit was. We have to circle the parking and walk around. But other than that this is difinitelly a repeater and highly suggested. Thank you

Everything was so close to the unit
The ocean was a under a minute and the pool was 30 seconds away
The grounds very lovely and we especially loved having a patio where we could enjoy mornings and evenings
The condo was very well equiped with everything you could think of
The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms were nice and updated.
The condo was very close to some of the best beaches in Maui with free parking.
We will definitely be back.

Quiet location. Since all beaches are public, it worked well for us to have a cheaper rental and to drive to a local Beach with easy parking. The snorkeling was amazing!

My three boys and I had a great stay. Walking distance to some restaurants and ABC Store and a 5-10 minute drive to Black rock and Whaler’s Village. Very clean, very responsive host and had great pool/beach toys, chairs, an umbrella and even beach towels. Recommend!

Very easy to find. Close to a variety of locations. Traveling to any part of the island was easy. We saw turtles off the balcony most days. We loved that the ocean was right there next to our condo. My husband and I had a great time, very relaxing and quiet. My only issue was three items 1: only hot water came out of the kitchen sink. 2: T.V. Did not work in the bedroom. 3: front door with access code did not work most of the time, we ended up using slider door. Other than that we loved the location and it was very convenient to walk around. We would for sure stay there again. I would not recommend with kids.

First, you walk in and the view is breathtaking. Then, you notice how clean and well stocked this condo is. And the massage chair is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay here - walk to great coffee and a nice little grocery store. The beach is more of a snorkeling beach than a play-in-the-sand beach, but there are plenty of sandy beaches nearby. Host is great, too! We highly recommend this condo and would definitely want to stay here again if we’re lucky enough to go back to Maui!

Our family loved staying in Kristina’s condo. The condo was just as advertised. Very clean and fully stocked with everything needed. The kitchen and linen closet had everything we needed. My kids were especially happy to find snorkel gear, frisbee’s, and beach toys. We had a little trouble with the pullout bed and I messaged Kristina. Within 3 hours the entire sofa bed was replaced and we didn’t notice a thing! Daniel, her on island manager was more than helpful with anything we needed! The condo was beach front and my kids loved playing on the beach. It’s a small beach, but perfect for my kids. The location was perfect. Food trucks close and tons of restaurants and stores in walking distance. The local grocery store is in walking distance as well. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic condo! Quiet, well kept complex with friendly neighbors. Loved the area with everything we needed just steps away. The view is unbeatable with whales, turtles and dolphins passing by daily. Condo was clean and very functional with all the beach necessities provided - two Tommy Bahama beach chairs, plenty of towels, mats, coolers, toys, etc. Beds were very comfortable and we slept quite well. A/C units in all the rooms but we never needed them as we were there in March and there was plenty of cool breeze. Kitchen was great and stocked with all necessary appliances. Can’t wait to return!! PROS: Very clean, small gift basket w coffee and mac nut clusters, kitchen cooking supplies well stocked, bed and fold out sofa ok, good communication w Vacasa prior to check in, 3 large beach towels supplied, 5 minute walk to park w excellent beach for kids, very quiet the whole time we were there, grounds well kept, large pool (unheated). price very competitive, small strip mall just across the road w good little family owned eateries.
CONS: This whole complex is dated. Our unit had several windows that did not open or close completely, furniture worn; access to bedroom only through bathroom-ie if someone was using bathroom you couldn't get into bedroom, pool not heated so on cold days we still did not want to use the pool, (complex nextdoor had 2 heated pools), no beach chairs supplied, beach in front of complex was too rocky for little kids so had to walk to beach down the road
Overall just OK, biggest plus was the cleanliness, but would prob not opt to stay in this unit again.More

This place is in a great location and right on the ocean. We saw whales every day from the lanai. It could use some updating, but it is clean and in a great/quiet community. It's also within a 5-minute drive of several great beaches.

Wow. This unit was exactly as described if not better. Let’s just start with that VIEW!! Unbelievable!! Floor to ceiling windows maximized the view and we could not get enough of it. We watched whales every day from that spacious lanai and comfy loungers and even saw a few sea turtles swim by as well.
Kitchen had everything we needed in terms of wine glasses, dinnerware etc. The beds were comfy. Didn’t need the air conditioning. Bree, the property manager, was very responsive to all of our questions and couldn’t have been more helpful. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels and used them every day. We loved the area, too… more laid back than the big hotels/resorts. So many things within easy walking distance. We cannot wait to come back and will definitely book THIS EXACT SAME UNIT!

The condo has amazing views from the living room and the lanai. The only downside is that the condo is in need of some updating. This was clear ahead of time from the listing but we were still a little surprised the extent when we first walked in. However that quickly fell to the background with the beautiful views. Thank you for everything! We are a family of 4 and had such an amazing time in Maui! Waking up and watching the whales from the balcony and watching the sunset every night was so amazing! The beds were comfy the rooms were the perfect temperature with air conditioning and fans! We loved hearing the waves and opening all the windows to see the views! We loved being the corner unit! We felt very safe and comfortable! It has all the beach toys from 2 different size coolers, 2 chairs, snorkeling gear, and more! Along with kitchen spices and coffee and all the stuff you need, even a flat iron and hair products!! Above and beyond! Would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day! Oh and the directions to the unit were perfect and Laura was easy to communicate with! Thank you so much! Can’t say enough it was so perfect! We got delayed and stayed at the Fairmont hotel for a night but we all preferred Laura’s place over the fancy Fairmont! :) :o

Don't judge a book by its cover. This complex looks older on the outside but delivers bang for the buck with its excellent location and amenities. We loved Bad Ass coffee an easy walk away, as well as having the beach and a prime whale watching spot on the complex's lawns just steps from our condo. Because it is a low-rise, smaller complex, it feels much more private and intimate than many of the other resorts on the coast. Everything you need is in walking distance: fresh takeaway food, a supermarket and even a larger resort's cafe if that's more your style. We really appreciated our well-equipped kitchen facilities. Others have written that the condo can be hot. We had warmish winter weather but found the condo to have good airflow and appreciated the ceiling fans in our room which kept things comfortable. The best review we can give is that if we were to return to Maui, we would happily stay here.

Seriously the best!!! My husband, 6 month old baby, mother in law, and father in law stayed here for 1 week and absolutely loved it. The backyard is literally the ocean. My husband and I have been to Maui 3 times and this was by far the best place we've stayed. We all could not have been happier with this condo.
Condo was super clean. Beds are very comfy. Parking is just outside the door. Lots of windows to allow a wonderful breeze, but also had AC unit in case it's usually hot (we never used it).
We love to cook and found everything we needed in the kitchen, including high quality wine glasses and knives. I'm fact, we were so comfortable at the condo we ended up not eating a single meal out!! We preferred to cook at home and enjoy the view at amazing home.
Francisco was a wonderful host! Before our trip I messaged him a few times to ask about baby stuff as this was our first time traveling with the baby. He was super responsive and helpful! Our little one unfortunately got sick while on vacation and again Francisco went above and beyond to help us navigate where to bring him. Francisco even let us stay late on our check out day so our sweet baby could rest before our evening flight.
We will 100% be back!!

The unit was perfect for four people. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The place was roomy and comfortable. We arrived after hours ( 1 AM ) so had trouble finding the condo. We were not told the washing machine didn’t work and hadn’t for over a month. We would had to have found laundry facilities elsewhere. We didn’t know where to park so received a towing warning the first day. Garbage under the bed was a bit disturbing but the rest of the unit was very clean. Overall a god place to stay if they can deal with those few issues.

You will not regret your stay here! The view is phenomenal, and it is well equipped with everything you might need, including boogie boards, snorkel gear, sand chairs, sand toys etc. etc. Unit was clean, updated, and well furnished. Host Laura was quick to respond when our flight was delayed, and arranged a late check out for us. The only comment or observation to share with someone else booking, is that because the unit is very close to the ocean, the sound of the waves is loud. While enjoyable most of the stay, our daughter had a difficult time sleeping on the sofa. The bedrooms are further away, and were quiet.

The condo was as described in the listing. It appeared clean and had all the necessities. The only complaint as far as the condo goes is that there were ants EVERYWHERE. The management company, Chase and Rainbows were not great. We were not told that the washer was not usable, the access code to the pool was not correct therefore we couldn't use the pool, and we were not informed prior to arrival which parking spot was dedicated to the rental, and the form that needs to be displayed in your car was not left for us to fill out. I contacted the management company the day after we arrived, since we arrived late at night. I was told they would offer a discount for their mistakes. 3 weeks later and after several calls they have finally processed the refund. I also had to call prior to my stay to get the code to enter the condo as it was not sent as promised in the emails. The location and condo itself were fine, and worked for us while we were there. It's the hassle with the management company that made the stay less than wonderful.

- noisy due to surf proximity and shuttered screens at the front; bedrooms are pretty good for noise;
- living room pullout is noisy when tide and surf are up (booming waves); pullout isn't great for comfort
- neighbourhood is good for groceries, cafes; not great for direct access to nice walking or good beach access (that being said, in ten minutes walk you can be on Kaanapali)
- water access in front of condo-plex is limited due to reef and surf; beautiful though, with greens and blues in water; Molokai across the channel; occasional humpbacks and turtles
- owner/agent was helpful and responsive

They couldn't have been nicer. Everything you need is in the condo, and there's nothing you can't buy within a 5 minute walk...including delicious takeout meals. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to this beautiful island!

I would appreciate a better, stronger showerhead. And an easier, quieter bathroom door to open and close. The condo front door has a loud creak noise every time you open it.
The all glass wall in the living room and dining room is nice for lighting but not for privacy. Anyone at the complex that is at the pool can see into the condo. Some kind of privacy curtains would be appreciated for that total side of the condo that is all glass. We liked the location. It was a comfortable place to stay. Please let future renters know that laundry services are available at the condo complex but not in the condo itself.

Shanna’s condo made us wish we lived in Maui. Sitting on the lanai was so peaceful that we could have stayed forever enjoying the beautiful view. :) In fact, if we could, we would love to buy the property! My husband & kids snorkeled right off the balcony and saw amazing sea life. They also got to swim alongside a sea turtle, which made everyone’s day. Shanna was a great communicator and addressed our questions in a timely manner. The location was amazing / top notch. We were steps from the ocean and were close to some good restaurants. Everything and more than we hoped for in a vacation property. Get in the ocean or get in the pool. Amazing sunsets and moon sets. Awesome neighborhood for food/coffee choices. I started to call the stretch of water off the lanai “The Turtle Highway”. Great communication with the property owner on any questions. The location is truly one of Maui’s jewels.
