First, I'd like to confirm the good things: A wonderful ocean front view, a quiet and private unit, an equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, ample parking and overall good location. All communication with the host was very good, no issue whatsoever. Definitely a good stay.
However, for me wonderful would be closer to a dream condo or a luxury hotel room.
This building and this unit, though nice, is a bit old, very little space in the bathroom, tight shower with an old faucet and an okay bed.
In addition, some amenities I'd expect for a wonderful rating were not there: a glass for toothbrushes (ended up finding one in a kitchen cabinet), a box of tissue paper, a bar of hand soap and such.
Overall looking at the value for money, next time I'd look for somewhere else, now that I know better. Also a deposit of $1000 for damages (or a $50 insurance policy) seems excessive, compared to other listings.
Again, we enjoyed our stay. Just be aware of the above.

Sande was a great host. She pointed us to great baby rental people that were amazing. She was right there at check in to make sure we got in okay which was perfect because I got the unit number wrong at first and she helped me out. Parking is a little tight and the road is quite busy but it all worked just fine. Checkout process was easy and we had a great time!

First the windows are so clean- when I walked in the unit looking at ocean I didn’t think there was glass there! View is better than photos. I lived walking down to the little quiet secluded beach both early morning and sunset. Ocean water was perfect. (Wind started about 2pm ever afternoon so morning swims were better for us) condo had everything needed. Very please. Owners are great with communication, ideas, and thought of so many things (like including beach toys, adding beach towels, kitchen has nice pans to cook in, and so forth) Would stay again.

The property was clean and nicely updated. Had everything we could have needed for our stay including beach chairs and an umbrella. A/C worked great and having a washer and dryer in the unit was a huge plus. The locations was perfect. Central to everything we wanted to do while we were in Maui. Watching the sunset from the balcony never got old! Even saw sea turtles from the balcony every morning! Overall a great experience staying here and it made for an amazing anniversary trip for my wife and I.

By comparison, our condo was far better suited to our creature comforts — great view, reliable appliances, and a/c, all amid thoughtful original artworks. Chad was easy & quick to communicate with. And the location made our first visit to Maui very convenient.

The views from this condo are amazing! We woke up to hearing the waves and and looking out of two of the bedroom window to see the ocean right in front of us. The grounds around the condo are pristine and the management on site make sure everyone feels safe and secure at this location. This was our first family trip To Maui and we soon realized that we had found the perfect condo to stage our daily adventures.
The central location of Kihei with the restaurants and grocery stores was key.
Check in process was a breeze , the grounds were immaculate and Robyn Was super responsive with any questions we had .
All in all we had a an amazing trip and this modern condo with all the amenities just added to our experience.

The condo is lovely! A little dated, but very clean and comfortable. The view is amazing! The unit had everything we needed: from beach chairs and umbrellas to all kitchen utensils. Location is great and very convenient - it’s right on a very calm beach and just minutes away from grocery stores and restaurants. Plenty of parking on site, and we never had issues finding a spot. The only drawback was the fact that the pool was closed for scheduled maintenance for 7 days out of our 9 days stay, and we did not receive any communication about it from the property manager - we just saw signs about the closure posted all over the property when we got there, while it would have been very helpful to know in advance, since we were looking forward to using the pool during our stay. Overall we had a wonderful stay at this condo!

We enjoyed our stay in Kihei. It was so nice being on the ground floor, sitting outside on the patio in the mornings drinking coffee, and watching the ocean.
I really loved seeing all the sea turtles popping their heads up as we took our daily early morning walks along the beach.

Our family of six stayed here for a week. What An amazing location! Very clean and comfortable! The only complaint was that a hot tub was advertised, and there is no hot tub. But the owner made it right and took care of us to make up for the incorrect information.

The condo has a world class view that we enjoyed on the lanai. The condo is decorated beautifully and is very well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need. The property is well landscaped and has a great pool and outside grills for cookouts. The rooftop has gas grills, tables and an incredible view. The only complaint we had was that we weren’t informed that the pool was going to be closed the week of our stay. That lack of communication was a concern.

Very impressed overall. The posting and pictures were accurate. The view from the Lanai was perfect, the rooftop area was a perk. The fish pond was wonderful, allowed my kids to be free in the space without having to worry so much about the surf from the breakwater surround. They did see turtles every time they went out, I think there are a few that like to call the rocks home.
This condo had everything you could need. Lots of towels, bedding, beach supplies, A/C, ceiling fans, extra fans, the best stocked kitchen I have ever used, including Tupperware for leftovers or picnics.
I would highly recommend Unit 505 at Menehune Shores.
Cons: Bathrooms could use a deep clean/refresh. The A/C unit on the Lanai expels very warm air when it is running and still some all the time when A/C is off. Not a real issue but in the evening when the kids were in bed and I wanted to sit on the lanai but also cool the interior down it was not pleasant and then during the day when sitting out on the lanai it could still be felt when AC was off. (not sure why). This was an issue for me and my mom (COPD) but maybe not for most. I found a very strong scent in the Master bedroom (front bdrm ok), it was not an odor but a strong air freshener-type smell. It was almost constant and even when I had all windows and doors open it was still there. I never found the source, but the onsite manager and Jim were very responsive to my concern. The condo was clean & decor nicely done but we had a couple of issues. The television instructions weren’t accurate and viewing options very limited without major networks. The large tv in the bedroom didn’t have cables or power cord so it was just a shell. In the bedroom there is a recurring buzzing hum that cycles every minute or so and lasts for about 8 seconds. This is very disturbing. To top it off the pool was closed this week for an annual cleaning which was not noted when we made our reservation. Too bad for the shortcomings because this condo would have been one we would have recommended.

The house is at great location, parking was easy, close to beach, excellent views. Air condition is not specified in amenities, so it has no AC. Luckily there were many fans provided, so it wasn't that bad. Also carry your own shampoo and bodywash. Everything else was great about this place, especially the views.

The VRBO property was clean, accommodating, and cozy. The owner saw to every detail down to beach chairs, beach towels, and although our kids are big, she even had sand toys and boogie boards. We had an amazing stay at this top-floor corner unit! The condo was incredibly clean and well-maintained, with everything we needed provided. Waking up each morning and enjoying our coffee while gazing out at the ocean from the balcony was an absolute highlight. The beach is right next to the condos, and we loved being able to walk along the shore so easily.
The unit itself was very comfortable for our group of four, and having two bathrooms was a major plus. We had air conditioning in both bedrooms and the living room, which kept the space cool and comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised by how much we appreciated having a ceiling fan in the bathroom—something we didn’t even know we needed!
Overall, this condo exceeded our expectations and made our vacation feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay by the ocean!

The condo Azure Bay was awesome! Clean, impressively decorated, while only a short drive to restaurants and shopping. The grounds were immaculate. This condo had everything we needed to feel the comforts of home while experiencing the fun of Maui. Great views from the ocean-front balcony with relaxing breakfasts in the morning and stunning sunsets in the evening. We even cooked on one of the many outdoor BBQs that were cleaned daily. We traveled with family so seeing the turtles on the beach nearby was a highlight for the kids. Communication with May, the host, was great from the time we booked right on through our visit. We wish we could have stayed here longer, but do plan to reserve again the next time we come to Maui.

The view was nice, although you can’t see the sunset, not a full view of the ocean. The bathrooms were clean and there were no bugs. I think all the condos in Maui are on the smaller side. Warning, the ac unit is only in the main room making the bedrooms very toasty at night. The ceiling fans did little to help. Had a few issues with electricity in the unit and the property manager was quick to respond and send someone to check on it. Overall the property manager was great at answering questions. It was an ok unit, nothing fancy but did have a nice walking beach out the front of the condo unit.

The property was in one word....PERFECT! As depicted. Zero surprises. The sunrise and sunset views of an unobstructed beach, palm trees, bay and not to mention...Sea Turtles resting on the sand/rocks each morning (5m walk)...were AMAZING. Helen and Mark were OUTSTANDING! The property hosts were extremely flexible with several of our “unique requests” and responded to all of our msgs immediately. Will definitely stay at this property (Room#) again. Northside of Kihei was a good choice with easy access to all roads for island exploration. A 15m direct shot to the airport, too.
