The location was to die for. You could see whales off the lanai. The condo was well equipped. The only real suggestion i could make would be to replace the mattress in the bedroom. It was very hard and uncomfortable. But having the beach, pool, ocean all right there...priceless. We would probably rent there again in the future.

My husband and I recently stayed two weeks at Menehune Shores and had an amazing time. This condo was upper clean and comfortable. The views from the lanai are unsurpassed with majestic views of the sunset each evening and outrigger canoes and stand up paddle boarders each morning. We like to cook in for many of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed from a crockpot to circuleon cookware and sharp knives. There was a choice of coffee brewers, either good old Mr. Coffee to the single use Kuerig. We used the pick up feature at the local Safeway for our groceries because who wants to spend grocery shopping on vacation.The king bed was comfortable and the bedroom fan kept the room cool at night. When we stayed the condo came with two Tommy Bahama beach chairs as well as several beach towels. There were coolers and some beach toys that had been left by previous guests, I can’t say if they are always there.We were thrilled to learn that the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles came into the enclosed swimming area each morning to rest all day after their evening of eating. It was not uncommon to see between 6 and 8 turtles sunning themselves each day. Don’t overlook visiting the Hawaiian Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. It’s right next door to Menehune Shores, it’s small but amazingly informative. Ask for Joseph, he’s friendly and knowledgeable. Lastly, the grounds crew keep this property shipshape and are friendly and happy to answer questions.

We returned to where my MIL went with her hubby for many years. Tranquil location, walked to the beach everyday. Sunsets from the roof, including some conch shell rituals and bbq, if the wind is calm. Lanai view of the sunrise and sunsets, the full moon was behind us and it was huge. We rented a car and explored much of the island. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need. Tile floors difficult to keep clean in such a sandy environment, bring slippers. An umbrella and three well-used beach chairs for use, be careful of the wind gusts. Grateful for the carts by each elevator; we had groceries delivered for convenience after long travel day.

We got in late, so it was super dark. When we opened the patio door, all we could hear was ocean waves. What a wonderful welcome to the condo! We had an amazing time. The condo has all of the amenities you could need. Wish we were still there!

Sande and Bob’s place was perfect for our family of four to spend the week before Christmas! The condo was exactly as expected from the listing. It was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some of our meals at the condo. We also had beach towels and chairs available which was very helpful! The pool was right outside the door, and the view from the lanai was beautiful! Everything was perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Clean unit that had everything we needed. Beautiful view and quiet area. My kids loved the grassy area to play games, watching the sunset from the top of the building was a favorite of ours and fun to see turtles up close in the fish pond each day. When we entered the unit the first thing we noticed was the amazing view of the ocean. We spent every evening watching the sunset behind the palms and enjoyed coffee in the morning. The unit was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. We never used the a/c because with the cross breeze and fans the condo was always comfortable. The water was a bit choppy so snorkeling wasn’t possible but we were able to enjoy the beach area and had lunch on the rooftop (just be aware there is no shade up there). Overall we had a wonderful time and wouldn’t hesitate to rent the condo again.

This property was fantastic. We could not have asked for anywhere better to stay. The condo was fabulous and outfitted with everything you would need to enjoy a stay in Maui. The park right next door allowed for viewing the sea turtles lounging on the rocks during the day and coming onto the beach in the evenings. The only bad part was having to leave. If we ever return to Maui, this is the only place we want to stay. Thanks for a great vacation spot and for allowing us to use your paradise getaway.

This location worked for our needs. We were only on Maui for the 3 day Maui Invitational and did not really sight see. The only complaint is that the parking stalls were too small for our Ford Expedition. The unit had a nice view of the ocean and pool area.

I appreciated that Christine was always prompt with communication and that she keeps up with extermination at her condo because we saw NO roaches, which is a deal breaker for me. We have been dreaming and saving up to take our family to Hawaii for years. When we saw flight deals to Maui we jumped at the chance to finally make that dream come true. I wanted a place that had an ocean view and we could easily walk to the beach. Sande and Bob’s place was perfect. The location in Kihei was the perfect central location to for all of the things on our list of things to do and places to see. We could easily get to Wailea-Makena and Lahaina. The airport and Costco were just 20 mins away.
The rental had beach chairs, umbrellas, a couple of boogie boards, snorkel gear sets, mini cooler. Honestly everything you need for beach days. They even had some hydrogen peroxide that came in clutch for my son who got a really bad case of swimmers ear in the middle of the night.
We loved being able to walk out to the beach each morning and listen to the waves and even saw sea turtles a couple of mornings chilling on the beach in the little bay next to the condo.
Highly recommended this to any couples or smaller families visiting Maui. Sande was so sweet and quick to respond to any questions we had. Which if I had only read my emails I would’ve seen Sande had already thought of and answered them before we even got there.
Thank you Sande and Bob for making our kids first trip to Hawaii so amazing.

Very nice grounds. Near beach and lot's of turtles. Pretty much everything you need in the condo. The 4 beach chairs and umbrella are pretty well used, but hey, lot's of places don't provide those amenities. (One thing, if you are looking for a place that has a fitness center, this property doesn't have one).
Kitchen well stocked with what's needed. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Love the property - we have stayed at Menehune Shores for over 30 years and think this unit rates as one of the top. Although it is west facing, the unit doesn't get hit directly with the afternoon sun. We'll be back! One thing you might consider would be to move the couch so it is facing the lanai, not the other wall. That way the guest can look straight out at the water instead of turning their heads. Just a thought! Thank you so much.

My GF and I had the most amazing stay. The location is perfect. The views are breath taking and look just like the photos. Pamela was wonderful to work with and very communicative. The space has everything you would want including beach towels, snorkeling gear, and beach chairs. Kitchen has everything you need for a stress free stay. Parking was easy as well. We even requested some extra cleaning supplies and Pamela dropped off what we requested the same day. They are wonderful and we had a perfect stay.

After our first sleepless night on Maui @ Maui Sunset #A320 (terrible beds confirmed by their maintenance man along with lack of attention to other things, including cleanliness. Char and her boss @ Rentals Maui generously agreed to move our reservation to Menehune Shores #422. Overall a lovely place,location, and great view. However, the beds again were in need of replacement. The master bulged very noticiably on the side without any weight on it and was very uncomfortable. The first bedroom had no a/c and was on the street side so if the window was left open for breeze the road noise was disturbing. It would mellow out late at night, but trucks and some cars could still be heard throughout the night. We discovered that the bed consisted of two very used twins pushed together to make a king. The problem was that to compensate for the poor mattresses three foam toppers along with 3 mattress pad covers were used which made it sag even worse. Sadly our vacation left us very sleep deprived and with alot of back pain. One last problem: the a/c mini split in the master bedroom has an additional electrical box below the unit (a relay switch?) that intermittantly & continually buzzes whether the unit is off or on. So, we were frustrated and miserable due to lack of sleep and resultant pain. We are older (in our early 70's) and it is possible that younger bodies could tolerate the poor beds better, but why should that be?Again, the place was very nice other than the most important thing - the beds and the lack of a.c. in 1st bedroom. We could not recommend the unit at this time.Thank you to Rentals Maui.It would be helpful if there was a way to inspect bed condition in the units or have record of their age and condition.

The property is in North Kihei, which is less congested. You can't walk to anything but everything is a short car ride. The unit was nice, not luxurious. There is a small beach adjacent to the property. In front of the property is a break wall which protected the shore and made swimming/snorkeling better, especially for yougner children. The grounds were well manicured. Every morning the sea turtles would come in and hang around the break wall which was fun to see.

This property was wonderful!! Beautiful kitchen with koa cabinets, top appliances, ice maker and water filter in the fridge. The kitchen had everything we needed!
I loved the master bedroom. The king size bed was very comfortable. I'm one of those people who is light sensitive at night and loved the plantation shutters and the bamboo textured, light darkening shade for the sliding door.

The apartment is very nice. Had everything we needed. A nice quiet location right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets from the lanai. Having carpet was odd but it seemed clean enough. If you are taller than 6 feet, the shower is short. The fan in the bedroom needs to be replaced with a newer and/or better one. It was too noisy to leave on at night. Before booking, I asked the owner if it had a king size bed. He couldn’t remember. For your info, it’s a queen. Which was fine but he should know and put it in the ad.
The cleaners need to focus on the “extras”. Like the dining room chandelier and the top of the fans had half an inch of dirt on them.

We were attracted to this unit due to advertising this was a, “freshly remodeled penthouse”! While is is on the top floor of 6 story complex and does have a good view, calling it a penthouse is a stretch! In reality it is a typical 2 bed 2 bath circa 1975 condo! The unit had tired furniture and infrastructure as noted by the backup of our kitchen sink our second day requiring us to waste en entire day meeting with repair personnel! Oddly enough, the repair of a glogged drain resulted in the removal of garbage disposal that was functioning approximately This will be a problem for future guests! The grounds have an on site restaurant that is Indian themed! Lunch and dinner only is served! Only 4 lounge chairs on the lawn and all were chained together; obviously if one was being used the other three would have to stay all chained together m! Beach is attractive from a distance but is very rocky and not swimming friendly. The TV remote did not work and apparently this was known as the repair folks tried to fix it upon our arrival! It has a small pool filled with children and no umbrellas! My husband and I discussed it, if offered the same property in the future for half price, we would decline!

Incredible views from this one bedroom condo. About a mile from down the road from the food and shopping. There is a nice pool but you can also go to the small sandy beach located next to the property.
The complex has a break wall so there is a nice calm area to snorkel and see a variety of fish in the rocks. The turtles also like to hang out by the wall. I saw more turtles here than on our snorkeling trip. The unit has all the basics and is reasonably priced. We got our money's worth just having coffee on the balcony in the morning.
