We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sondra's unit for our family trip. The apartment is very well equipped and has a superb view. The beach accessories at the unit came in handy for our day outings to the wonderful beaches nearby. I enjoyed sleeping to the sound of the nearby waves. The listing is accurate and I would recommend it 10/10.The resort is very well maintained as well, with very clean pools to get a dip in during the day. Food trucks nearby for an evening meal.

We love Papakea! This unit was as described. It worked very well for 2 couples. Upon arrival I noticed a pile of hair behind the toilet .. it cleaned up quickly with the hand held vacuum - it just should have been caught. ( there is always hair in a bathroom.) as a VRBO owner I know this.

We had a great time. Personally we loved the location, the view, everything that was offered such as the pool and jacuzzi. Having the beach within a 2-3 minute walk was a plus for us.
All the beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect. We had everything we needed in less than a 10,min drive. Definitely recommend. The communication was amazing and very accomadating

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in West Maui. This condo is perfection - the view is to die for, the amenities are wonderful, and the location is fabulous (within walking distance to groceries, food truck park, great restaurants and the most heavenly cinnamon rolls!). We spent a lot of time staring at the ocean from the lanai - watching endless turtles swim by, and we also saw lots of dolphins and even a manta ray! Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us.

The condo grounds are beautiful and well cared for! It is in a great location! We had trouble getting the master shower to work. But finally did! The diverter valve was hard to pull out. Other than that everything was great!

Highly recommend ...We loved everything about Dana's condo looks just like the pictures super clean and well stocked for all cooking and beach needs.
The view from the lanai is breathtaking and relaxing we spent so much time out there. Dana responds immediately if you need anything.

I did not realize it until we arrived but the condo is convenient for going to beaches, grocery shopping, restaurants and food trucks. Very nice to sit in the lanai overlooking the ocean. Condo is clean and well-equipped with beach chairs and snorkel gear.

The ocean view from this rental was perfect for us and the grounds/pool were beautifully maintained, but it was being able to see sunsets from the water's edge that was our favorite memory here. The rooms are fairly small, though certainly big enough. The loft wouldn't work for everyone due to the steep narrow steps, but it worked for us. It helped that we all went to bed at the same time and woke nearly at the same time too as it would have been a bit noisy if not. The check in staff were wonderful and everything was clean. The only issue we had was that the air conditioning had been turned off by the previous renters (as instructed by the owner on the check out list) and the unit was SUPER hot upon our 4:00 arrival as the AC was just turned on at 4. We contacted the front desk who contacted the rental company and they responded almonst immediately and sent over a very nice maintenance person to make certain there was nothing wrong with the AC - and to alert us that it would take HOURS to cool off - and it did. Once it was cool, it was a great place. Our suggestion is to have the cleaning crew turn off the AC after each cleaning IF there are no other renters coming in - it just doesn't make sense to us to turn it completely off and then have to re-cool it as all that does is make the next guests very, very hot. Additional maintenance suggestions are to check the dryer - as it didn't dry well - and to tighten the faucet in the upstairs bathroom. Everything else was good.

This unit and Papakea were a perefect setting for us for our vacation on Maui. This was not our first visit to this resort and we are delighted that the grounds and facilities are maintained and updated for our enjoyment. Our experience at Papakea Resort was magical, the property and condo were exquisite, the employees treated us with kindness and joy making check in very nice. Our one bedroom ocean front condo was just perfect.Honestly, we could not have had a better experience. Everything in our condo was clean, fresh and updated. The furniture, dinnerware, flatware, pots/pans, containers, glasses;everything was high end. The bed was so comfortable and the condo was decorated beautifully. The AC did a wonderful job and we were provided a floor fan that wasn’t even needed. It’s like the owners have anticipated every single need, want and wish anyone might have! We were provided the best soap, shampoo, condi, hairdryer, laundry and dishwasher tabs, paper towels, toilet paper, and so much more! The linens, towels, beach towels were fresh, clean and new. There were beach chairs , beach umbrella, a cooler, boogie board, golf putter and golf balls, there was suntan lotion and spf. There were two pair of binoculars and a laminated guide of all the fish you might see if snorkeling or diving. The ice maker made plenty of ice. They provide a Keurig and 12 cup coffee pot, toaster, blender, juicer, built in microwave, everything anyone could want and more.The balcony was my favorite spot where I watched sea turtles swim by all day! My family was fortunate to pull together all my six children, 10 of my 11 grandchildren, my former wife, my current wife, a mother-in-law, three husbands of my daughters, and three significant others. We were able to get a local photographer to take pictures of us at a local beach. We toured and ate out at a lot of popular restaurants. At night time, we had putting contests. I used the barbecue to cook several meals, also. We have lots of memories to share.

Although we were there for work, it was also the perfect vacation. The unit was beautifully located, super clean and was stocked with everything that we could have ever needed. In addition to the sparkling ocean right there and the grocery, food trucks and restaurants just across the street, the Papakea complex offers water aerobics, lei making, yoga and even a mai tai night. My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at your property during the Labor Day holiday 2024. We had an amazing time! The unit was described perfectly! The property was immaculate. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we actually extended our stay by a day. The only minor concerns were: usable to adequately cool the bedroom, water/ice maker on the refrigerator didn’t work and an occasional roach. Overall, we had a great time! The staff was amazing!

The unit and property was amazing. The unit was VERY well stocked with kitchen essentials. All the necessary pans, colanders, utensils & basic spices. It was above and beyond expectations. It was nice not to have to rent beach chairs & bugge boards as they had these in their fun closet along with board games and coolers. The furniture was very nice and well maintained. HVAC worked fabulously as it was a hot and humid week. 5+ stars for this one bedroom!

First 31/2 days of our 7 day stay we listened to a defective A/C unit, bearings were shot and fan blades warped. The condo was not inspected prior to being offered for rent to ensure everything was in good working order. Not enough supplies IE: toilet tissue, paper towels and washing pods for a 7 day stay. We purchased additional supplies and left them for the next tenant. I think issues are not the fault of the owner but on the property manager.The bed was comfortable and the views and grounds are wonderful.

Everything about our condo stay was lovely and just as described in the listing. We loved the ocean view from the lanai, the ability for six (3 couples) to have their own space, and all the accessible beach gear. The jacuzzi and pool area were clean and quiet, and the grills were perfect for preparing dinner. I hope to come back again!

We spent 4 glorious days at this magnificent property and the photos and description don’t do it justice. The owners of this unit spared no expense- all high end fixtures and appliances and we appreciated all the little things such as shampoos, body lotions, sunscreen, coffee and filters, make up wipes, ect that guests may use. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat - this was one of our favorite vacation rentals! Tip- we let the kids sleep downstairs and we used the upstairs loft so that if we woke up
Early they could sleep in without any noise interference. The ocean views were incredible and we never heard a peep from any of the neighboring guest. We miss it already and can’t wait to visit again!

Stayed here for a week with our family of 5. The unit was very comfortable and felt like a second home. The ground floor access was convenient since the pool and ocean were only steps away without needing to take an elevator. The grounds were very well maintained and orderly. We will likely look for the same unit if we return to Maui again. One discrepancy was that the listed resort fee in the description was actually $25/day instead of $17/day.

The rental was excellent and had everything we needed. There is a small air until in the living room which leads to the bedroom being a bit warm but with the fans on we were comfortable. Laura was very nice and quick to respond when needed. The front desk has a concierge service that can help book excursions which was very helpful! Excellent location for Greta food, sunsets, hiking and snorkeling! We had a great stay.
