Everything you will need from paper towels to beach chairs. Mostly very quiet and private spot. Great sea life seen from balcony. If you want a modern feel this may not be the place for you.May go back simply bc of the location

Beautiful weather week of 9/2/24! This was our 2nd stay at Pohailani Maui Resort, 2 different studio condos. Great location! You can walk to beaches, food places, etc... Condo is clean and well stocked. Reasonably priced as well. Pictures of condo are accurate. Assigned parking is a plus! We saw several sea turtles and mom/baby Manta Reys - very cool!

We rented a week for our 35th anniversary… and had a wonderful week. The beach areas are eroded away - so we drove to other beaches to snorkel. (Hint - go to the Sheraton in Valley your car… Take your stuff and go snorkeling at Black rock right there on the beach… Then when you’re done eat at the cliff diver bar… Get your ticket validated and your valet was free. If you don’t get it validated… It’s 50 bucks. Lunch ran us about 70 each time we did it… We thought that was a fair trade.). Parking was a little quirky… On some days someone would be parked there… Two hours later they’d be gone. We just parked in the guest spot and had our same parking pass. Overall… Very romantic. We really enjoyed the stay… The place is super clean and stocked full of Items… We kept even discovering things in. The mattress and the bed is very comfortable. Small but great little place for a couple in love.

Overall stay was good.
Location wasn’t bad but VERY quiet. If that’s for you great but I found it pretty boring in the area. There’s a few walkable restaurants but it’s dead. Except Miso Phat.
Condo was decent and gave us what we need. The communication was great . I couldn’t find the key code and it was after 6 but she responded immediately. Toilet didn’t work, had to open the lid to flush but they came the next day while we were out and fixed it.
The view is great with the sunsets. The lanai was perfect for them but it was a little dingy with previous stays. This may not effect others but if you are sensitive to smell you will need an air freshener or plug in for your stay. The condo has a bit of an old musty smell but I’m really sensitive. Glad I brought some pillow spray and used most of it. Beware of ants just like their descriptions on your arrival instructions. It was a bit stressful every time we ate and drank.
Overall it served its purpose and happy with it.

We had a wonderful time in Maui staying here! The view off the balcony is absolutely beautiful! Parking was a breeze with an assigned parking spot. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The bathroom was also well stocked. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay amazing! Beach chairs, beach towels, small cooler, tennis gear, etc they have it all! There are 2 beautiful beaches with in just a 5-10 minute walk as well as many food options and stores just a short walk away. Our favorite by far was the gorgeous view. We loved sitting on the balcony listening to the ocean and taking in the beauty Maui has to offer. Communication was awesome and they get information to you right way! We loved it! 100% recommend this condo!

We enjoyed staying here on our first ever trip to Maui! There were lots of sea turtles everyday and it was close to beaches and restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable, and nice. We loved our stay here. The only warning is that the afternoon sun comes right in and can heat up the inside if the shades aren’t down.

The place was perfectly clean and truly 12 feet from the ocean. Great reef out front for snorkeling. They had snorkel gear to use, games, books, tennis rackets and balls for the tennis courts across the street by the pool, laundry and rec club that comes with the place. Bang for the buck.

To the beach. Which wasn’t ideal. The homeless population all around the area was a little unnerving as they would hang at the picnic table by our lanai and at the end of the seawall one slept each night. One last thing to note is there is a condo above you and the walls seem thin those tenets were so loud and rude you could hear every step they made at 5:00 in the morning and hear their conversations. The location wasn’t perfect for us but the Condo was.

We stayed for 3 nights before leaving for a week in Oahu. When we first pulled in, Maintenance saw we were trying to figure out where to go and had us follow him right to our place. He was very helpful. This place was perfect for us. We planned on exploring and knew we would not be doing a lot of beach time at our place. We spent our mornings and a couple of evenings on the Lanai. We saw turtles our first night there. Communication was good and the price was very fair. The “secret beach” is a 4 min walk and was wonderful. The views are un beatable. We would absolutely stay here again. We were sad to leave.

Cheryl is wonderful and you can tell the love she puts in to the property. The view is amazing and the unit is decorated with amazing finishes. It truly makes you feel that you just started your vacation. Sweet Sandy is nearby if you need anything and Cheryl is just a phone call away. She really cares about her guests!

This place has all the perfect touches and care to make you feel sooo comfortable.
We loved watching the turtles every day and even saw a few sting rays. Although there is no sandy beach right in front of property (plenty close by) the privacy, turtle watching and comfort was more than expected. We moved to another place for second half of our visit and I immediately missed this condo - wishing we just stayed here for entire trip. It was a special place for hubby and I to spend 10 yr Anniversary. Mahalo.

Property was exactly as advertised. It was right on the water, clean and comfortable. Air conditioner and ceiling fan kept things cool, beach towels and chairs kept us on the go. Decorated very well, easy to access with great communication from the owners. Though we used them sparingly the kitchen had all of the pots, pans, dishes and utensils needed. Overall great experience.

Our stay here was truly amazing! Rainbows on the lanai almost evey day and the neighborhood was quiet with stunning and peaceful views. The condo was a close drive to many beaches and food and activities. The condo itself had everything we needed and more, including a binder of dining, information and suggestions that we used quite a bit. Waking up each morning to lush foliage, rainbows, birds singing, cool breezes and ocean sounds was a dream and washed all worries and cares away! We would definitely book this place again.

I used to live on the Lower Road in Maui and so it was wonderful returning to that lovely neighborhood. The studio is clean and well stocked - with gorgeous ocean views. Coffee on the lanai every morning was a highlight. Would definitely recommend.

From the second we opened the door we were in awe What an incredible view. Incredibly clean. An entire home is a one and a half. Everything you need is there. Comfortable bed and pillows. Air Conditioner to keep cool and fans. Incredible breeze when keeping window shutters open on front door. I cannot say enough about this place. Towels and beach chairs with small cooler and ice pack in freezer. Powerful blow dryer and great smelling soaps. Parking is easy and there is a Ricky beach about two minute walk from condo. Wow just Wow! From the moment we arrived at the Hula Hideaway we felt right at home. So many thoughtful, personal touches that made the condo even more special. And that view....INCREDIBLE! We spent a ton of time just sitting out on the lanai. The condo is quiet and peaceful. We loved the location...not too busy. I’ve stayed in Kaanapali and Kihei before and hands down like Kahana the best! A quick walk to the pool and often times there was no one there, so we had it all to ourselves. Kitchen had everything we needed and more and the washer and dryer were super handy! The Hula Hideaway staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything you need is just a short walk away...beach, groceries, yummy coffee shop and restaurants. Can’t wait to come back :)

This was our first time in Maui and it was excellent. The location is great. Walking distance to a few beach access areas and some restaurants (I am still thinking about the fresh caught sashimi we had from Miso Phat).
The unit has air conditioning, but we only turned it on once. It was not very hot during our stay so we opted to open some windows instead to create a cross breeze while we let the ocean waves lull us to sleep. Speaking of sleep, one of the reasons I chose this rental was because of Jim’s description of the mattress. I’ve stayed in enough vacation rentals with terrible mattresses to know how important a good mattress is for me and my husband’s middle aged bodies. We were not disappointed! It was a great mattress.
The kitchen is well equipped, as is the rest of the unit. The condo also has some beach equipment you can use. The folding chairs were great, and we brought them to all of the beaches we visited.
The view is the star of the show. We had some great sunrises and sunsets and we had a great view of Molokai and Lanai from the lanai. Yes, you’re really that close to the ocean!
For anyone wondering about driving to other area from Kahana, it took us about 40 minutes to get to Kihei and about an hour to get to Paia. For anyone considering the Road to Hana, we did a 10-12:30 reservation at Waiʻānapana State Park, left by 7am with only a few very quick stops along the way and made it there by 10:15. (So worth it).

The location & property was perfect for us! We love to adventure so we didn't need a huge fancy place; it was clean, with enough space for us two AND a comfortable bed! We jogged to badass coffee most mornings to drink coffee on the beach. We frequented Miso sushi, the farmers market and Maui brewing which were walking distance. Could not be more pleased with the condo and location; it's close to everything. Sitting on the balcony in the morning and watching the sunset and rainbows in the evening was just what we hoped for. We'll be back!

So happy that we found this little slice of heaven for our remaining stay in Maui this past trip. Everything was exactly how it has been described by other reviewers. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We only wish it was a wee bit longer. The lanai sits on the second floor and you have an open viewing of a beautiful sunset every evening, and if you love turtles, then you are in for a real treat. Whether you’re viewing them from the Lanai or down onto the grassy area in front of the seawall, you’ll have turtles feeding off the algae below. It is really a nice place to stay. The place was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and you have the right location to walk to Maui Brew company or down the street to the beach if you want to sit down onto the sand. Definitely would recommend staying here for at least three nights.

Around 3-5pm turtles are right on the shore behind the sea wall. Perfect views from the 3rd story only thing is it only has one outdoor lounger to enjoy the views. Other than that everything was clean and perfect.
