Wonderful oceanside building, this unit straddles the 12th floor, with views of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park, and the ocean. A nice view at every time of day.
We enjoyed walking to the beach, and beyond to the shops. And the AC - so pleasant to come back from a sunny Waikiki beach to a cool apartment.

Within easy walking distance to Waikiki but far enough away to enjoy the quiet of the Diamond Head neighborhood.
With a car rental, explored the entire island!

Our third trip to Oahu and this was the best stay yet. Close enough to the beaches but just far enough away from the hustle. Highly recommend this property.

This property is just as advertised with a clean room, beautiful lanai, and great location for some privacy while still close to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki.
The extra amenities were amazing to have ranging from boogie boards, beach chairs, hot plate, backpack cooler, umbrella, soaps and hair washing items, blow dryer, etc. Basically everything you’d need besides food.
Note: There is an additional $45 non/refundable incidental fee charged after booking to check in which we were not aware of and was nowhere in the advertisement. This was the only downside as we had already spent a good amount booking this place.
Outside of that, zero complaints and perfect for our stay! Mahalo! 🌺

The condo is the size of a nice hotel room, and perfect if traveling solo or with one person. There is a window unit for air conditioning but it’s not always needed when the weather is nice, plus it’s kinda loud when in use. From the bed, you have ocean views to the left and right. Huge personal lanai with outdoor lounge bed and high top table. Metered parking is easy across the street and free after 6pm. Never paid more than a few dollars for parking. There is no beach access from the building but there is a drop off to the water near where the Diamond Head surfers gather every morning. Waikiki beach is always busy and just a few blocks away. The area around the building felt safe and clean. There is also an elevator and bellhop cart to help with your luggage. I stayed with my daughter for 6 nights and had no issues. Would definitely stay again. Thanks, Mark!

The room was so well maintained, clean and well organized. The views of Diamond Head and the water were crazy beautiful. Mark was so responsive and willing to help. I would definitely stay here again.

The condo was perfect for us. We had two teenagers with us and they had their own room. It was a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but close enough to walk to everything.
The decor could use a refresh as it’s a little outdated and the couch in the living room is really uncomfortable.
My only critique is that the Vrbo app wasn’t a great way to contact the owner. It was “having issues “ for the majority of our stay. Not sure what was going on there.

Great location, good to be outside of the craziness of Waikiki, able to find free/cheap street parking easily, but walkable to the restaurants and shops if you want it. Nice beaches very close by

Stayed in August 2024, This place was amazing! It was clean and comfortable! Comes with outdoor beach and ocean equipment which was so helpful! Host was super helpful and responded quick to any questions! 10/10 would recommend!

Apartment was quiet, nice and clean. Perfect location close to beach access and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Aquarium and zoo are walking distance. Large park across the street. The efficiency apartment has everything we needed for a couple days on the beach.

Very well-outfitted, a lot of storage, immaculately tidy + clean. One closet is only useful for someone 6’4, as the hangers are at ceiling height. The bathroom sink should be deeper, with a taller faucet, as that is also where you’d be washing the cooking gear. Did not need a/c, but an oscillating fan would’ve been great for ventilation, as one cannot open the windows on one side of the studio. Highly recommend!

We've been staying at the Diamond Beach Hotel when it was an actual hotel. This room is just as described, very comfortable and great views.

Located on the 7th floor of building just south of aquarium with views of Waikiki Beach and sunsets. For cooking, used the electric fry pan. It is good for grilled sandwiches and heating frozen stir fry. Diamond Head Grill and Market has excellent take out and restaurants are within walking distance. Be sure to reserve a parking space in the garage. It was well worth the extra cost.

Filthy window sills. Windows very hard to open. No bars of soap in bathroom. No bedside table for incidentals. An owner/host who would not attend to any of my concerns and would never return my phone calls. Left the place immaculate but still charged $130 cleaning fee after checking out. That's it for me and VRBO.

Nice unit to stay near Waikiki but avoid the crowds. Tranquil lawn and patio for watching the ocean and sunsets. Has wall unit air conditioners which are very loud. Nice kitchen set-up.. Needs some minor maintenance and cleaning detail. Walking distance (less than 1 mile on flat surface) to Waikiki, Waikiki Aquarium, Honolulu Zoo. Great views of Diamond Head. 2 doors down from the Elks Lodge and Outrigger Club.

We love this part of Honolulu. The studio apartment was well thought out and had everything we need. The property manager was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. I would suggest replacing the bath towels and beach towels.

It’s closer to residential but still walkable to Waikiki area. We didn’t run into many tourists in our area. Room was perfect for us and very clean. AC was cold.
If you do a Lyft, you’ll be fine. If you rent a car, you might have trouble finding a public parking spot due to being so close to a public park. We ended up paying for parking within the hotel one day.
Overall it was a good spot for us

Nothing special, but it was everything I needed. Location isn't great if you need amenities, but it's right across the street from Kapiolani Park, 5 minute walk to a beach. Free parking was very easy at the park so no need to pay. If I didn't have access to wheels, it would have been a difficult location. Make sure you stock up on drinks and snacks on day 1 of your visit. Would stay again.

The toilet ran constantly and shut off then ran again. No internet or tv. We messaged someone about the tv and never got a response. Parking is terrible unless you pay for a spot, then it's in a basement area with barely room to turn around.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient but just outside of the Waikiki strip which we really like. It's a short walk to all the action, but the neighborhood is quiet and near a huge park and of course the ocean. The water is a bit rougher in this area so there tends to be the sound of crashing rather than tranquil waves but very pleasant nonetheless.
We usually stay at the Kaimana Beach Hotel a few doors down, which is very nice, but this rental was much more comfortable. I was disappointed at first when I walked into the property as the photos were misleading. It is beachfront but the views from the property are side windows facing condo buildings and there are no windows facing the ocean. However the lanai out front is huge and overlooks the property's yard/garden and the ocean. There's a sofa, chairs and it's very comfortable and scenic. We loved it, although next time I would rent a place on a higher floor so we'd get both a spacious lanai and views.
Inside the condo is spacious with a fully outfitted kitchen and everything you'll need. The bedding isn't hotel quality, and the linens and pillows could use a replacement. I highly recommend paying for the parking garage. It was super convenient and on weekends, it seemed that it would be difficult to find street parking,

We loved this condo in the Diamond Head/ Waikiki area.
Let me start with the very few negatives:
1- everything in Honolulu feels dated. Meaning, it looks like most buildings were built in the 70s.
2- with that said, expect dated elements in the condo too. Low, popcorn ceilings, vertical blinds. No big deal, just letting you know.
3- the sofa is very firm and uncomfortable but we spent most of our time on the FANTASTIC balcony so it was not an issue.
4- the listing has the 2nd bedroom with 2 double beds. They are SINGLES, not doubles.
The PROS:
1- we loved the location!! It felt very safe and it's across from a vibrant park that gives you a local feel. The parking is a little tough at times but we could usually find a spot around the park or in the metered area. It was free overnight.
2- the oceanfront view is the best, the balcony is comfortable and there is a grassy courtyard right on the water that is perfect for sunbathing without sand.
3- You are less than a mile from the Waikiki area, including a Starbucks. ;-) I would walk there every morning and the sidewalk would be busy with runners.
4- there are beaches all along the route from the condo to the heart of Waikiki so it's easy to find a spot you like. Chairs are provided at the condo.
5- check in was easy and there is an elevator to the 7th floor. Only 1 elevator but we never had to wait long.
6- the kitchen was sufficient and the beds were comfy. They supplied plenty of towels and beach towels.
Thanks!

Loved the property and the view from the lanai. Only downside was the parking was difficult because of our disabilities and also, we needed more towels since there were four of us. We knew there was a washer but didn’t see a dryer mentioned. But we managed and other than that everything was great. We loved the ambiance. Thank you for helping us so quickly when we got locked out. We appreciate all your prompt attention, and the whole Hawaiian experience we had here. This was a great place to take our vacation.

Great location, close to the beach and Kapiolani park. Lovely studio, very quiet, fairly well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed.
Recommend paying for parking on weekends; during the week, there is sufficient metered street parking across the street, free from 6pm-10am.
Would stay here again!

Located a few minutes from Kapiolani Park and a few steps to the ocean it doesn’t get much better. Our condo had a lanai so you can enjoy the sun and breezes all day long if you so desire. Honolulu without the crowd!

Perfect jump off location for all the Oahu places to visit. 2min walk to great snorkeling (saw turtles), Waikiki beach, and the strip. Far enough away that it's quiet and clean.
Gated convenient parking in the basement if you want to pay for it.
(I'd stay away from parking spot 16 due to leaky water pipe overhead)

The location of this condo couldn’t be more perfect if you want to be close to everything, but away from the noise and crowds.
The host was very communicative and very friendly and helpful. The condo building itself was nice and the neighbors were friendly.
Only critique is that the bed and pillows were not the most comfortable. The mattress was firm and slightly uncomfortable and pillows were flat as paper. Some updates to the bedding would make it near perfect!

The unit is the size of a moderate hotel room, with a very small kitchenette. The building is narrow, one unit wide, which means that if you are high enough (we were on the 11th floor), there are spectacular ocean views from the windows on each side of the unit. The location is perfect . . . away from the Waikiki rat race, a very short walk to a public beach, and if you can score a visitor pass from a friend, the Outrigger Canoe Club is only two doors away.
The views make it easy to overlook that this is an older building and unit, and it shows, at least cosmetically. The AC is a bit noisy, and the bed does squeak, but the unit was quite clean. These aren’t resort accommodations, but it’s clean, quiet and safe, and all we needed was a place to sleep. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if the opportunity arises.

The unit has great ocean views on both sides above the tree canopy and other nearby buildings. The bathroom sink doubles for the kitchenette. Additional soap for the shower and dishwashing would be helpful next time. We'd come back again to stay here.

We enjoyed the property for our 3 day visit. It is located in a great area with an easy walk to Waikiki but far enough away to enjoy the quiet and nearby park. The management company was very responsive when we had an issue accessing the property.
The building is a bit older and dated and could use a few repairs but it was a great location to stay for a few days.

Nice location. No frills. Tired and slightly dirty. The pictures do not represent the real property. It really needs a remodel or deep clean. The property feels like it has been forgotten by the owners. Functional, but mattresses are worn, toilet runs, no fan in the bathroom. Did call the owners about parking and they did call us right back.

My wife and I were visiting Hawaii for the first time, to attend a work conference. Between the views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, the amazing Tradewinds breeze that flowed through our room, and the incredible back patio of the hotel, we truly loved our room! We also appreciated that the VRBO, while only a few minutes walk to the beach and the heart of the city, was located in the mellower part of town.
