Nice quiet place to sray that is close to most things. Very good if you have a car as there is area with free parking from 5 am to 10pm and then metered parking at 1 per hour.

The property is fine enough -- much smaller than the pictures let on, but decent enough for a very basic situation. The bedrooms/beds are falsely advertised. The second bedroom, which was expected to have a double and a queen had a single bed instead of a queen. Upon notifying the owner and other people involved in hosting about the issue with the posting versus what was present, I was threatened and harassed by the owner multiple times a day. The owner insists the single/twin bed is a queen size bed. The owner is unreasonable and tried to extort money from me as a result of notifying him that the expected queen bed was instead a twin sized bed. While i followed every single house rule and every agreement in the contract, the owner is knowingly falsifying information. I had to get VRBO involved to have them stop harassing me multiple times a day. The overall property is dated - often at least one of the elevators is not working so you may wait up to 10 minutes for the lift. No water fountains or water refilling stations are available in the property. The kitchen is minimally outfitted. The bathrooms need serious updating The property is so-so but the owner and other people involved in the hosting process are terrible. If you raise an issue be ready to be harassed via text message and through VRBO's messaging platform. Also be prepared to have the owner try to extort money from you or have "property inspectors" enter the property during your stay. Beware.

This place has it all! Views, clean, well maintained and close to shopping, beaches, and Friday night fireworks! There is even an ice cream shop and coffee shop in the lobby area! We stayed over Christmas with our younger son who said the pull out couch was comfortable and the harbor parking lot made it easy for our older son to come by to pick us all up for exploring the island. We would definitely stay again at this Illikai gem!

The two bedroom condo we rented for the week was updated, clean, had great beach chairs, and provided us with a very positive vacation experience in Waikiki. We only wish the elevators in the building were in better repair. By the end of the week, only two of five elevators servicing the entire complex were functioning. Shelves in bathroom are rusty, grout on kitchen sink has mold, ice maker doesn't work, draw curtains are ripped at the bottom, paint on corners is chipped, closet door doesn't slide, tv has poor quality picture. Needs a little pick me up. The largest overall problem is the lack of functioning elevators. By our last day only 2 of 5 were working, causing up to 30 minute waits up and down..

Overall the stay here was excellent. Great location with lagoon and pool and decent view of the ocean from the balcony an incredible view of the fireworks every Friday. Room was exactly as advertised and the Ilikai tower is an older building but a great place to stay for families. Pool is heated which was nice for us being from Canada where that is typical. Only negative feedback is that the pool closes early at 7:15 and our code did not work when we got there and we had to wait about an hour to get into our room when we arrived which was quite late. Besides that it went very smoothly and we had an amazing time.

My family of four stayed from December 23-28, 2024. I have 2 teenage daughters and I was worried the space wouldn’t be big enough. I shouldn’t have worried. It was great. They said the pull out couch was super comfortable. The view from the room is spectacular. The balcony looks into the hotel courtyard and we listened to live music every night sitting out there. The hotel was close to everything we needed. The pool, lagoon & beach were all amazing. Friday night fireworks were fun to watch. A soft cooler was supplied and it came in handy. Luggage racks would’ve been helpful. Some beach chairs and an umbrella would put this place over the top. The bar stools need to be replaced. They flake everywhere.

This building is an easy walk from the main drag in Waikiki but also allows you to easily walk to Ala Moana. It was well appointed with linens and beach supplies (relative to other units in the building). The one constructive piece of feedback we have is that the pots and pans were warped, limiting their usefulness on the electric range.

The home was not up to my standards or expectations up close. The shower curtain hooks are so old, they rusted so bad. The rust is not on the shower curtain. The patio furniture is filthy/old and needs to be replaced. The tv had a line going down the screen. The covers smelled like they weren’t washed. There were literally no condiments. So make sure you bring some or buy from the shop downstairs. The patio is over the parking lot. Not the lagoon. The free parking is pretty much non existent. People are outside early and all the parks are taken before 9. This experience has caused me to Reframe from booking outside of hotels.

Wonderful stay for 2 adults, 2 kids over the Christmas holiday. If you want simple convenience, without frills or luxury, this is a perfect place. In Hawaii at resorts you can often feel nickle and dimed for everything, and this is a nice alternative with all the conveniences self-serve at your fingertips. The Friday hula show and fireworks were a special perk!! As former O’ahu residents returning for the holiday, this was absolutely perfect.
-I was unable to find pic or clarify via reviews, so want to note that this is a studio vice a true 1BR. There is a sliding tatami style wall you can use for privacy but if you are two couples you should be very comfortable with each other as you will be sharing one room.
-If you want to use Kahanamoku beach right by the Ilikai, recommend bringing water shoes as this is a very very rocky/coral beach once you are in the water. You can walk a ways toward Waikiki for softer sand. With kids, the water shoes were essential.
-Most everything was open on Christmas, and the Ilikai store with the essentials you need is open 24 hours/365 days a year! We were wondering about this traveling for the holidays.
-Ilikai harbor parking was $33/day during our stay with in and out. Ubers to Waikiki when we didn’t want to walk were about $5 each way!
Absolutely loved this property and location, super convenient, great communicative host, and laid back easy O’ahu vacation.

The listing was limited with interior photos, but this was a great spot. Marathon start was real close and ran right by front of this building. Our view was directly over the lagoon and ocean where the sun sets, and every Friday fireworks were right there!! The grill and bar in the property was great. And valet while expensive was worth having and was so easy to use and fast. We barely had to wait. We were here for 10 days and used laundry down the hall. The condo really only had one minor negative of sound. The doors were not solid so you could hear easily even with doors shut. We had a great stay and pools were nice too! Would stay again. Store in the building had almost everything you needed as well and there was a great ice cream spot and coffee shop on the first floor as well. We grocery shopped and cooked in the kitchen a couple nights.

This property was perfect for our group of 6. The pictures of the condo are very accurate—there’s plenty of room and it was nice and clean. The beds were comfy. But the best part is the incredible view! Coffee on the lanai each morning was lovely. And we saw whales twice from the lanai! The owner is very responsive and flexible. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Oahu in the future.

The city view lanai had a nice afternoon breeze. 2 nights we got to enjoy watching the luau on the Hilton property free from the city lanai. Unfortunately you can't see the Friday fireworks from the properties lanais but we'd seen them before. It would be ready enough to walk down to the lagoon to watch - but we were too tired after taking babies to the beach.We parked at the marina - cheaper than the valet at the property. It worked out ok, just more of a hassle to have to walk over to get the car and then pick up the rest of the family from the front. But hey, like 20 bux a night cheaper, I can walk. Communication was good with host and property management company. Host allowed us early check in (Thank you!!) which was a godsend after a long flight with a gremlin infant (poor baby - tired and couldn't nap well)We had a very nice stay and would stay again.

The view from the balcony and location is what gives this unit its value. Easy walking to grocery store, restaurants and beaches. Don't expect anything fancy in the unit itself. The pullout couch is not terribly comfortable, the dishwasher has a distinct sulphur smell when you open it and the toilet screams a little after each flush. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. As long as you are not expecting a five star hotel room then you will appreciate the awesome view and the magic of being in Hawaii. We had a great time :)

This year my husband and myself rented this particular room The location is perfect. and just like on the picture is exactly the view we had. It was super clean and had everything we needed. Full Kitchen even though I used it once to make a full breakfast. Full fridge kept all our drinks and fruit chilled. Property Management was there for us with any questions we had. The only part I had a little trouble with was the TV. It was just hard for me to navigate it. But I hardly watch TV anyways. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. My family rent their own rooms at the same hotel every year with us. We usually go in December The bar and restaurant downstairs is great and the bartenders are super helpful to help you as to what to do on the island. Thanks again and hopefully see you next year!!!!

This was a really great location. It was pretty clean, conveniently located, and a great stay. The only complaint was that one of the stove ranges were broken, and the pull out bed was broken. My husband had to sleep very uncomfortably on the couch, and I used the air matress which was really comfortable. We made it work. We will be back again.
