Great location with a short walk to Waikiki beach. Plenty of restaurants and stores in walking distance as well. Kitchen fully equipped & all functioned properly, plenty of towels provided, hosts were responsive over messages on vrbo, fast/reliable wifi, easy check in/check out process, comfortable bed, nice partial water views from the balcony. Dedicated parking spot was easy to access and convenient.
It can get a bit noisy at night with loud cars & people on the street being loud, as the apartment doesn't block the noise too well. But not a major issue really. And the bath/shower took a very long time to drain, but again not a major issue at all.
Overall this was a great stay & definitely would consider staying here again.

Given I booked last minute and this is the only condo that was available, I was grateful. Here for a family emergency. I’ve stayed in the Marine Surf many times over the past 8 years but this condo was the most rundown: broken springs in the soiled couch, ac that drips in a bucket on the lanai- the guest is supposed to empty it and it fills up every 6 hrs. No beach towels or chairs, no decor to speak of and 1/3 of the lanai window is boarded up - it’s dark inside compared to most. The table and chairs are awkward - the table is high, the chairs are low. With some upgrades, it would be fine, just run down. The bed was ok if I kept to the middle. The included parking is what makes the Marine Surf my top choice, every condo is different.

We liked our stay at Capitan Cook. We liked the location a lot, very close to the beach, shops and all kinds of food. It can be a bit loud because of the central location, but I used earplugs. My husband was sleeping fine. Parking is great, it would be difficult to find parking elsewhere. The apartment itself is clean, a little bit outdated, but it has everything you may need. We didn’t use a kitchen, but it was clean and has all appliances and dishes. I would recommend to add one warm blanket, as I felt cold at night, while my husband preferred this temperature. Very comfortable mattress and bed overall. Having a balcony was a benefit too. Very pleased with our stay, we would come here again.

We spent 9 nights at Marine Surf unit 1204 in October 2024.The beds were very comfortable. There was also a variety of pillows ranging from thick to thin, so we were able to find some to suit our preferences.The location is good. Close to the beach (10 min walk) but also not facing another high rise. We could see a sliver of ocean and a sliver of mountain. It was well situated for driving in and out of the area, given all the one-way streets in Waikiki.The parking spot barely fit our rental, a Chevy Malibu, so bear in mind not just a height restriction but also length. A shorter SUV may have fit better, and you really need to back in or pull into the spot as far as you can.There's enough storage for two adults with four suitcases plus a bag of motorcycle gear. Space to hang in the closet, two large dresser drawers, and the beds are high off the ground to store suitcases underneath. The table provided surface area to hold pantry items.The stove is small but we used it a few times. If you plan to cook, don't expect room to cook from scratch. We bought meatloaf and lasagna from Costco and the containers barely fit into the oven. We would not have been able to make either from scratch.There was a pan under the air-conditioner on the balcony to catch the run off. We didn't realize it until our first morning when the container overflowed and it was all over the balcony. There were no instructions about that and we would have checked it before bed the first night had we known.The unit appeared clean. Clean sheets, clean towels, clean tub and sinks. However the entire unit needs a deep clean. There were food splatters on the white kitchen cabinets, there was a spill of makeup (foundation) on the wall next to the vanity. Dirty handprints on the bathroom door. And the floors need a deep deep washing. We spilled water and wiped it up with a paper towel that came up black. The apartment was clean and in a very convenient location, right in the middle of Waikiki she you can walk anywhere. Getting check- in instructions were a little difficult. The building is Dates, so if you're looking for luxury, this is not the place. But overall, it was a good stay.

Security was a bit lax… the door to the foyer area was always open and not locked. Thankfully the elevator requires a key fob. It wasn’t clear where the mailboxes are so I had a tough time getting my key fob.
AC never got cold. I think I was at 74 degrees the entire 11 stay.

we very much enjoyed our 6 week stay at marine surf # 902. we enjoyed the lower unit,clean,sort of cozy being on the corner of the condo,looking on to kuhio & R hawnaves.we also enjoy the local food,slower pace & trade winds.tana has been busy shopping around & being in the central area helped alot. we vist hawaii ocasionally and stay at higher floors,but false fire alarms could be a hastle. 6 floors to the parking level was convenient but, some drivers dont park proper in their stalls & that poses a problem exiting your stall. wewill look forward staying at 902 again tana & tony

The unit #1204 was very clean and welcoming. However, it wasn't for me. I'm 85 yrs and found that the bed as a bit high, the stools around the table was not good for the elderly. However they made great night stands for me. The bathroom was clean, however, no safety bars or rubber bathmat in tub. Not for the elderly, however, towels were great. No TV instructions, I made due with my I-Pad. I learned to improvise with what was available. Price was reasonable consider the location and parking was included. Able to see the fireworks on Friday evenings. Kitchen was ok, couldn't reach the top shelf, I'm too short. I would recommend this unit but not for the seniors over 75 yrs. Especially the need of safety bars in the bathroom.

We stayed at this rental for about a week, and it was great. Clean, centrally located, and great value. We didn't use the pool, so can't speak to that. The one issue we had was with the AC. It was leaking off of the balcony and the building shut off the breaker for it, so had to sleep without it one night which was slightly uncomfortable (but there was a fan luckily, so could have been worse). In the morning, the property manager let us know why the AC stopped working and that there was a pan under we should empty occasionally. The building shut it off again the next day b/c of another unit leaking that they attributed to us, and I had to prove to the building that it wasn't us... they said it's usually 1204 so they assumed. Aside from that, it was a great stay! It would have been nice to know about this AC issue upon check in to have avoided this happening. We also weren't clear on needing to register with the front desk upon arrival as that wasn't included in the check in instructions (it didn't actually cause any issues, but had we not had an issue with the AC, I'm not sure we even would have known that we missed a step)

Amazing location with parking and AC! Check in/out instructions were clear and simple. Property was clean and decor was cute. Equipped with towels, beach towels, beach totes, chairs, and more which made the stay more homey. The only thing was that there was no hand soap available, we found hand soap under the kitchen sink (which might have been left from previous customers?). Although the listing states that there will be no housekeeping or replenishing of shampoo/conditioner/body wash, there was only 1 travel size of each for 2 people and 5 nights of stay. Overall, we had a very satisfying stay.

Overall had a pleasant stay. The location is perfect, I stayed across the street at the Royal Kūhiō last year. So many things to do. Parking is a plus and is ground level so easy to park and walk down the avenue. Cleanliness was a miss. Shower curtain looked like it was building up mold towards the bottom, air vent in the bathroom clogged with dust, and a few stains on the bed sheets. It was unfortunate that during our stay we experienced bad weather from the hurricane passing by which caused the sliding doors to the balconies to rattle all night. Also, the AC turned off every 5 minutes or so and was not efficient to keep the unit cool. Keeping the sliding doors open helped cool down the unit much faster. Despite those cons, everything else was great.

We had a 5 day stay at the Naribe Surf. It provided a great location in the heart of Waikiki. It had a nice view, a full size fridge and a small stove and oven. It also had AC,a fan, and a real bonus...a secured parking stall on the 2nd level! And THAT is a big deal that can add an extra $40 - $50 a day elsewhere. The room rate was very reasonable but the taxes and fees add to the cost. However, this will be true anywhere you stay in Waikiki.Definitely worth a stay!

Second time staying in this building; this unit was bathed in natural light and had 2 views which was great. Would not recommend opening patio doors though: tons of wind! Reliable, designated, free parking is fantastic. Unit has a nice table to sit at for quick meals. It could use a dresser or somewhere for putting clothes; we were stuck living out of bags or piling things on the tv table. Agree with previous reviewer about A/C: adjusting temperature never seemed to work, so sometimes felt hotter than it should have been. Kitchen is minimally equipped and tight for prep space: it has a microwave and toaster and small stove, but no pans or anything to use for heating up things in oven and no kitchen linens for wiping up (sponge and dishsoap was included). Nice shower pressure, bed comfy. Two main things that resulted in a lower rating: 1. We arrived to literally 10 sheets of toilet paper with no sign of extra rolls, plus large bag of previous guests' garbage under the kitchen sink (likely just a housekeeping oversight as it looked like everything had been cleaned, but still not great!); 2. There is no deadbolt or any kind of security door lock for use at night when in the unit.

The unit itself was as advertised and the parking was perfect! Communication was clear and easy.. The ONLY downside was the upstairs neighbor. I'm not sure if it is another rental or owner-occupied, but several times, especially in the mornings starting around 5AM, they would open their sliding glass door that originally sounded like they were dragging furniture across the floor ( yes, its THAT loud), and then they were smoking pot. My daughter noticed it first, and I don't know if if was coming through a vent or how it was coming into this unit, as our doors were always closed with the AC on.
