The room was clean and adequate. The view of the mountain was lovely. Nice kitchen. Appreciated there were lots of towels. The main bed was great but the hideaway bed in the couch was just ok. So pleased to have had parking at all times in this busy city.

We just home from a 9 night stay at Waikiki Sunset. The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The little amenities like dish soap, new sponge, little shampoos and body wash were great additions. The primary bed was very comfortable and the owners were quick to respond. A two block walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. When we go back to Waikiki we will definitely stay at Waikiki Sunset!

The apartment is located in an old building, but the apartment itself has been nicely renovated. Air conditioning works great in all rooms. Noises from the town traffic are not an issue during evening and overnight. Conveniently located to walking distance from most of Waikiki amenities. Elevators take forever to go up and down, but it’s due to being part of the old building. Parking free is awesome. Will certainly stay again! As advertised.

Had to wait for elevator a number of times. Fire alarm went off one night and a majority of the tenants evacuated. This caused a long line for the elevators once it was determined that all was clear. No water or AC for 5 hours one day due to some maintenance issue. Views were fantastic, but no open balcony.

The night before we got an email saying there was a water leak, so we got an upgraded room. We went from the 9th floor to the 23rd floor. We had a nice view minus the ugly building across the street. The condo we originally booked was supposed to be newly renovated and this seemed not as nice as what we would have had, but it worked out great! The bed was a little uncomfortable. The beach towels weren't provide, but I messaged and they were brought to us right away. The shower was amazing! Had everything we needed. Great location. Parking is a pain in the butt if you have a big vehicle, so we would try to not leave once we found parking. There was a rooster that made noise all hours of the day, so that was annoying while sleeping, but that is no fault of the owner since the chickens are wild. But easy to get to the beach and get around. Very clean. Reasonable priced. I would stay again.

I was very impressed by the venue. Owner professional, approachable via text and available. Room was in good shape, loved the view from 32nd floors. Location is perfect in terms of restaurants and the beach. It was my dad 70th bday and I bought my parents here and they loved the room.

Easy to get to the beach with kids under ten! Having the umbrella, chairs, and boogie board made it so easy to enjoy and not pick a lot of things from the mainland. Very easy to contact host and get a response as well. We loved the beach during the day and then the pool in the late afternoon. Laundry was easy as well as parking if needed. Would recommend for a family as the bunk beds were awesome too!

Kameron was such an excellent host! Instructions were clear and everything went so smooth. The unit was clean and had everything we could possibly need for our stay, including boogie boards, umbrellas, and chairs. We were celebrating my birthday and he went out of his way to provide a cake and lei. He allowed us an early check in and late check out. We will definitely choose one of his properties in the future. Also, the views from this unit were incredible! The central air was a very nice touch and being so high up, the unit was very quiet. The mattresses were very comfortable, including the pullout bed. Parking was generally really easy and we parked a mini van for our stay with no issues. You will not regret staying in this unit!

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this property, and I will definitely stay there again. It is immaculately maintained. The property manager, Courtney, and her staff are super helpful.
The kitchen is nicely equipped. The location at the Diamond Head end of Waikīkī is my favorite. Close to the beach. Walking distance to every thing. Can’t say enough good things.

I visited Oahu with my family of four and this condo is just fantastic. Check in was a breeze, the unit was clean and bright. My kids (ages 4 and 8) really enjoyed the bunk beds, and my husband and I liked that the bedroom was separate from the family space so we can relax after the kids have gone to bed =) The bed itself was very comfortable, more on the firm side which we like. The unit is equipped with everything you need in the kitchen and they also provided beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and a small cooler (including ice packs) to take to the beaches.
The condo is a short walk to the main tourist area, we explored it once and it was beautiful but very busy (obviously). But if you want a sandy beach and a bit of peace, check out Kailua beach! Absolutely stunning, and there's a restroom and shower close by for the kiddos. One last tip, the elevators get very busy if you leave past 9AM the wait can be quite long, so if you can swing it, leave before then.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will absolutely recommend it!

The only down fall was day we were set to leave, cleaning people walked right into our condo and said we had a 9:00am check out which was not correct. We had a 11:00am checkout time.

This is our 2nd time to stay in the Sunset building (not this particular room but the building). Everything is as described in the post. Kitchen is adequately stocked (although I didn’t cook any). The king size bed is comfortable and you can set on the lanai and enjoy the trade winds. It’s centrally located and we walked to Dennys on two separate occasions for breakfast. Parking is excluded with the room cost. Communication with the host is prompt. I highly recommend this place if you’re heading to Honolulu.

So this condo appears renovated but it’s poorly done and what you’re really paying for is the location. It’s about 2 blocks to the beach which is nice. The condo itself was liveable but it had some plaster falling off the wall in the bedroom, the kitchen sink backed up and the garbage disposal wasn’t working so we had to have someone come and fix that, mold painted over on the bedroom ceiling, cob webs with dust hanging from the popcorn ceiling, mold on the bathroom floor grout, a hole in the bedroom wall where an outlet used to be that is gone now just an open hole. It’s also incredibly loud the sirens from police and fire never stop even though you’re on the 28th floor you hear everything. Oh that’s another thing the walls are super thin, the living room couch is super uncomfortable to sit on and you feel like the springs are going to break. The entire condo/hotel is in bad shape and it needs to be renovated. They had to do an emergency water shut off one day from 08-12pm which turned the AC off also and another night at 10pm there was a fire alarm and we had to climb the stairs down.

This apartment was exactly as advertised and newly renovated in an older apartment complex. The Host Courtney was contactable and thoughtful and there were absolutely no issues during our 7 night stay for myself and 2 x teenage children. The apartment has everything you need and the complex has a good size, clean pool, bbq area and gym. This stay was a lot better than a small hotel room in the myriad of hotels on Waikiki and the location is only 1 block back from the beach. As an added bonus there was free parking included which saves a lot of money. Would recommend and stay again. Thank you for a great stay.

My family recently stayed at an apartment in Honolulu, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The location was perfect—just a short walk to both shops and the beach, making it easy for the family to enjoy everything the area has to offer.
The apartment itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after our daily adventures. What truly stood out, though, was our host, Kameron. When my husband and kids fell ill during our stay, Kameron went above and beyond to help us, providing assistance and ensuring we had everything we needed.
His kindness and support made a challenging situation much more manageable. Overall, this apartment is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy Honolulu, and I can't thank Kameron enough for his exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended!

It was great to wake up to great views each morning. We had what we needed with a small kitchen, two bedrooms with clean and comfortable beds, and easy access to drive in and out of Waikiki. GOOD: A view of Diamond Head and the ocean. Oh, so nice to stare at the waves. If you want to spend a lot of time at a rental just to relax, you will enjoy this one. A kitchen is a definite plus to prepare a meal or snack.
BAD: On the first day, the refrigerator did not work. I called property manager Byron and he promised a repair person would be there the next day. In anticipation of the repair, we brought food back to our rental place the next day, but no one came and the fridge still didn't worked. During the week, we received repeated assurance that it would be repaired. To make a long story short, the refrigerator was never fixed. the only consolation was that Byron gave us a cooler and a bag of ice.
UGLY: I asked Byron if we could be compensated for this major inconvenience for not having a working refrigerator for the ENTIRE stay. We initially got a verbal response that he would immediately refund us 25% of the rental, but no refund credit ever appeared on my account even after multiple inquiries. Just like the refrigerator repair, we were given a bunch of empty promises.
Bottom line: If there were no refrigerator problems, this unit would have been acceptable. I give it this unit 1 star for not resolving the refrigerator issue (as of today) and 4 stars for the view.

We had a pleasant stay. The unit is clean. Beautiful view of Diamond Head. Even with the AC off, you can feel the nice breeze at 14th floor. They have beach towels and beach chairs your can use if you want to hang out by Waikiki Beach. Very convenient location. It is close to everything.The condo is located at the 14th floor and there is a mart on the 5th floor if you forgot to buy groceries and want to cook simple breakfast. It's walking distance to an ABC store, food truck. It is very safe. If you are renting a car though, don't rent big SUV's because the ceiling of the parking structure is low. We had to switch our Ford expedition to a smaller SUV.other than that, I say, the place is great. Byron, the property manager is very pleasant as well. He could not be there in person but he arranged everything for an easy check in. We recommend this place to everyone.

We stayed at the Captain Cook Resort for our honeymoon to Oahu. Upon arrival, Jean sent us all the information we would need to get into the unit and made it very seamless and easy. The unit was completely clean and absolutely STUNNING!!! No matter how many times we’d return from a day out or open the curtains in the morning, that view was unbelievably breathtaking. The unit came with shower supplies, plenty of towels (including beach towels!), beach chairs and a boogie board for us to use, and so much more. There was even a sponge for us to hand wash our dishes before checking out. We had the best honeymoon ever and the Captain Cook Resort was one of the many reasons we get to say that! Thank you!
